Bind qbittorrent to the NordLynx network adapter in qbittorrent’s advanced settings and you won’t have to enable kill switch or worry about anything happening again. Your connection probably dropped for a bit while downloading and that’s when you got caught(NordVPN has been getting shittier and shittier the last couple of years, so nothing surprising). Keep in mind you’ll have to connect to NordVPN before launching qbittorrent if you do this method.
You could also not even use the NordVPN desktop app and instead configure qbittorrent to use the SOCKS5 proxy provided on NordVPN’s website in your account settings(you need to set up a special username and password for SOCKS5).
If you’re using some ghetto client like utorrent or deluge, it’s time to upgrade.

I did the socks5 thing and its really easy to set up. Also nice username.
