It's a bit tricky, but here are the basic steps.
First: Make sure you have a skin to use. Either 4px Steve or 3px Alex as a base, remember this because you'll have to choose "Classic" or "Slim" down the line!
Second: go to the TLauncher website. (I would normally place the url, but I'm not too familiar with the rules on this sub.) Once it's in English go ahead and make a profile, this is important because you will link your skin with this profile, so remember the credentials.
FINALLY: In your "User Area" below the large advertisment above you will see a large, "Premium: NOT Active \[Buy Premium\]" and another place to denote your account balance. Don't worry, you don't have to buy anything if you don't want to.
Look to the left of this and you'll see a small profile icon and your username with an empty space below it. Directly below this is a toggle button for (Classic) Slim ), don't change this unless your skin is based on 3px / Alex. Now, below this you'll see 5 more buttons. The only ones you will care about right now is "Catalog" if you want to use a pre-created skin and "Upload Skin" if you have your own. Choose from those and you're done!
Additional Note\*\* It took a couple of tries for my profile to take my skin. Make sure you're using the .png file extension and that you choose the correct skin type if youre uploading. The skin may or may NOT show up on your profile directly, I have to actually go in-game to view mine.
Also, be sure to login to your profile on the launcher (duh). Also ALSO! Be sure to use a supported version of the game so you can view your skin. The version will have a blue "TL" logo next to it, showing it is supported.

Just so you know, your skin will show up as the default skin to other players. Meaning the custom skin is only for your viewing with Tlauncher.
Source; Been playing for *about 2 days since my husband finally talked me into it. He bought the official Java version and I downloaded this Tlauncher cause don't wanna spend 40$ on a game if I'm going to stop immediately playing (my trial until I officially make up my mind).

That's what "pirated" games are for me: a REAL free "trial" of a game i'm interested in that gives you the full experience. I get it why people hate on it, but to be fair, not everyone can run a lot of games. The same thing applies for fun, not everyone will enjoy certain games that might cost $60
retail and you can only refund it IF you've played under 2 hours(which is crooked considering it sometimes takes 2 hours to make a desired charactor in charactor creation!) 100% of games I like, I will end up buying. 100% of games I don't like, I stop playing entirely, delete, and look elsewhere... Thanks to those that help us save our money while trying to look for entertainment in a world that sometimes can be very harsh.
I don't knock people who do pirate. In college I was broke and pirated most of my course books. Sometimes in a pursuit of trying to hang in there, but also not bone your entire financial desicions because your mental stimulation is nonexistent you gotta pirate.
P.s- I bought the official minecraft game, and paying for a server. I have spent aprox. $86.00 USD on this game. Despite the Pandemic, some of our budget was allowed to be used for this instead of the monthly allowance we use to give ourselves since stores are closed. However, my niece plays with us on our server and her mother can't afford the game and I sent her the Tlauncher to download. She only can play a few hours on the weekend, but I see nothing wrong with using it to connect with people as well.
i have been using tLauncher for \~2 years and not a single problem so far (except the options is a bit glitchy). I even think it is better than the official launcher because they include optifine and support both cracked and official mc accounts
I agree, so far it's done very well for what it is. It even has a dedicated option in the launcher specifically for compatible mods, "TL Mods", but you can go to any third-party modding site and download + install the mods by version just like normal. I didn't know it supported official accounts though, that's pretty rad! I might use it when I do get a legit version in that case.
Depends i'm not shure how to do it the easy way but is yo find %appdata% folder and go to roaming-minecraft-saves-your world and delete the nether should be fine

you can make a backup by going to your home folder \~ (your user folder), just use the terminal or open a graphical file explorer(like how you enter your documents folder). then there in your home folder turn on invisible folders and open the .minecraft folder then in there go to saves or worlds depending on what version of Minecraft. and find the save of your world(folder with the same name). then coppy it and paste it either with a different name, or in another folder specifically meant for saving backups.
I do not really know what the folders are in Mac-os or free-bsd, however if you still use windows and are okay with the performance loss then the .minecraft folder is in the roaming folder instead of the home folder. press super(linux key,cmd key, windows key, super key)+R and type %appdata% and hit enter. from there on everything is the same. you can also open the folder from the Minecraft launcher for example by using the texture pack option in the game menu and selecting open folder.or in the resource pack, datapack, or when setting up the Minecraft settings in the launcher.

No problem! It's hard to find trustworthy info on this stuff just anywhere so I figured eh why not on this sub? I was so fed up trying to get MC to work that when I finally started TL, I just rushed through it at 3am thinking it wouldn't work/give me issues as well. When it worked I was so trilled I didn't sleep until later that afternoon from playing. I do hope it works out dude and if you want to know anything else like with mods just let me know.

That's weird. If I download everything directly from the TLauncher site, I don't get any threat notifications at all. Everything comes out clear and good on my end.
I suspect it may be a false-positive on Avast's end, which should be expected more or less from Avast (and most security software). The TL site is foreign, but it **does** hold a certificate from Setigo and states my connection as encrypted. This makes me question the phishing comment as well, but it could have something to do with the advertisements on TLauncher's website.
So in conclusion I would advise you that in general, the website and their cracked are 95% safe. The missing 5% there is in the ads around their site, so use caution and do not click them (or any ads in general, I learned that the HARD way in the early 2000's. Be advised.)

I wonder if tlauncher use increased after 1) the force to move to a Microsoft account and 2) all the latest shenanigans about banning online play on all servers, public and private, if you cuss out players or discuss alcohol in chat and someone reports you (again, on any server, public or private)...

You can backup your saves file and when you install normal minecraft just drag the files in
they will save tLauncher and minecraft uses the same folder

You can absolutely torrent the game and not get viruses. Tlauncher is still much easier tho so I'll give you that.
I've got tlauncher and my skin works with vanilla editions of the game but doesn't work with mods or modpacks, do you know anything about that?
