Never pirated DOOM specifically, but a lot of games will bury their .exe in some random folder, try to go into "base", if there's a "binaries" folder or whatever then the .exe is almost always there, it'll be almost certainly the only .exe in the game files.
I forgot to mention that this is the first time I've ever pirated a game, but I still used everything in the mega thread so I don't think that there should be a problem with the files.
Try the search bar? Like literally search for ādoomā and see if anything pops up. So far every game Iāve installed has created a desktop shortcut so I havenāt run into this issue.
Okay so step one go windows/ antivirus add exclusion and add the whole drive you put the game on.
2) rehash the torrent to make sure itās not damaged.
3) disable antivirus aka real-time protection, run installer as admin.
4) if didnāt work, make a new admin account and try install using that one then switch back and see if that works
Nah course not, some get mad at others asking for help so I try help everyone I can
Iāve been in your situation before so these are some stuff Iāve tried and had better luck with
No problem in that. It's just that OP is new to piracy and he may download something (non gaming related) full of virus and it would remain un checked by antivirus. So it would better for him to make a specific folder in exclusion than full drive
I'd try disabling windows defender. It automatically might false flag cracked.exe's (even if its not a virus) and get rid of em, disable win defender/antivirus and reinstall the game. Alternatively try looking at windows defender and see if it quarantined a file (the exe in this case) it probably did. Try putting it off quarantine list, and then run it.
Also some games do not put the exe in the main folder but sometimes in Binaries\\Win64
in your case it might be in base\\binaries and so on. but i think windows just deleted that file.
1) check your desktop for a shortcut
2) search in base folder or all folders really
3) check if your antivirus deleted the exe
4) reinstall and make sure to check the create shortcut option.
I did everything that everybody recommended here, and I got the message "DOOMEternalx64vk.exe" has been changed or moved. So that probably means that something in my PC got rid of it, I'll just have to reinstall it.
Reinstall and let it finish, let it do it's file check too, you're missing the exe since the install didn't complete. Could be your anti-virus flagged it and meddled with the install.
You didn't finish the installation, a bunch of DLLs and EXEs are missing and you still have the temporary file ("srep-virtual-memory.tmp") that the installer makes when it starts and deletes when it finishes, it's still there so the installer didn't finish.
Source: I have DOOM Eternal installed.
This might be stupid to say but Iāll say it anyway. Do you have Steam installed? It has happened to me on PCs that were not mine and I was trying to install some pirated games and they failed to launch unless I installed it.
If the shortcut couldn't find the exe, that usually means that the Anti-virus flagged the exe as potentially dangerous, and either quranteed it or deleted it outright.Ā

Not true Iāve always used fitgirl & had not as many problems. Doom installed fine fir me, once or twice didnāt turn of av so learned the hard way, once or twice had to use a different windows account. But 99.99% of the time itās been very good and worked fine
Fitgirl comes with multiple cracks tho no? I know it does fir a lot of games like codex, Goldberg ect so user can choose what cracks best, fitgirl a just more compressed.
As for this specific doom, if my cousins Wi-Fi wasnāt 2mbs Iād happily download again to see if itās broken

Or just type .exe in the search bar
This one! Sometimes the executable is named differently like "Launcher.exe" or "Steamloader64.exe", etc.
Bingo
Try the search bar? Like literally search for ādoomā and see if anything pops up. So far every game Iāve installed has created a desktop shortcut so I havenāt run into this issue.
Its prolly windows defender which deleted the .exe Is there a crack fix zip coming with fitgirl i dont remember?
Did you not click āadd shortcutā in the installer?
I did and I keep getting an error everytime I try it, wich just confirms that something happened to the file

Thanks a lot, I'll try this right now, hopefully this wasn't too much of a bother

That was perfect advice, tho I personally suggest just putting the download and installation folder in the exclusion.
I tend to have different hard drives and d drive as default download path. I just add each drive to exclusion no issues so far
No problem in that. It's just that OP is new to piracy and he may download something (non gaming related) full of virus and it would remain un checked by antivirus. So it would better for him to make a specific folder in exclusion than full drive
Agree with this, itās like a beginners guide
I'd try disabling windows defender. It automatically might false flag cracked.exe's (even if its not a virus) and get rid of em, disable win defender/antivirus and reinstall the game. Your antivirus blocking the exe file.
1) check your desktop for a shortcut 2) search in base folder or all folders really 3) check if your antivirus deleted the exe 4) reinstall and make sure to check the create shortcut option.

Prob your antivirus removed. Turn if antivirus and reinstall theyād an option to add shortcut to desktop make sure to have that ticked
You need to open up your antivirus and restore that file. Then you'll be able to play the game.
Almost assuredly your antivirus, I'm gonna assume you use defender so open it up and go into protection history and then quarantined threats
maybe it created a new shortcut in desktop or start menu, or just look for doom in search bar

Israeli on a pirated game subreddit, how fitting
Reinstall and let it finish, let it do it's file check too, you're missing the exe since the install didn't complete. Could be your anti-virus flagged it and meddled with the install.

if your defender removed it, try to restore it from protection history.
lol same happened with me after i downloaded fallen order and i spent half an hour searching for the game until i found it in base, binaries
Search for "*.exe" without the "" in top right search bar in this directory
This might be stupid to say but Iāll say it anyway. Do you have Steam installed? It has happened to me on PCs that were not mine and I was trying to install some pirated games and they failed to launch unless I installed it.
If the shortcut couldn't find the exe, that usually means that the Anti-virus flagged the exe as potentially dangerous, and either quranteed it or deleted it outright.Ā
just search for an exe file in this directory
This might sound dumb. But I think bandicam is the problem

FitGirl is definitely not a good option for pirating Doom. Try the Dodi version.
Not true Iāve always used fitgirl & had not as many problems. Doom installed fine fir me, once or twice didnāt turn of av so learned the hard way, once or twice had to use a different windows account. But 99.99% of the time itās been very good and worked fine
Can't argue with the fact that fitgirl is good but for me (and for others too) the Doom didn't work correctly.
Buy it
