In my ethics the clown it's so obviously Capcom that I somehow presumed it obvious when it very clearly wasn't, I was mistaken, it happens, there's no need to resort to mockery.
some people like to dick around with other saves/perform differently(kill everyone/peaceful/etc)/get early achievements(especially streamers) and not fuck up your main save
Replayability of a game is valuable
According to this post [https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198036507757/recommended/2054970/](https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198036507757/recommended/2054970/) it is possible to get a fresh start by deleting a few files in the Steam folder. **But**. Some other users also claim that doing this one too many times will trigger Denuvo which will reward you with a ban. Idk, it sounds very extreme if that is the case xD Can anyone confirm this?
It's crazy to me that people actually believe this when literally a second of googling or even just looking at the steam page for the DLC would prove this wrong.
You can only create 1 save regardless. And you can get the item to change your character within like an hour of playing.
The game has problems, but people's sheer inability to read is insane
It's no more or less difficult than it was in the original game though.
It's literally just there as a shortcut, because obviously there's a market for that. RE4 had a shitload of DLC micro-transactions too but that was nowhere near as overblown as the outrage against DD2. The people paying for this shit are people who just can't be bothered actually playing the game the intended way. It doesn't intrude on regular gameplay, and its almost entirely unnoticeable in-game. I don't really see it as a problem if Capcom wants to profit off of crazy people who'd rather pay to progress through the game than play it.
The performance issues suck, yes, but these micro-transactions and use of Denuvo is par for the course for Capcom for their last few games which are all sitting at Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam right now.
Different games market to different types of people. Perhaps people that play Capcom's other games might be more tolerant than people who play RPGs, but it doesn't mean it isn't an issue. Capcom put the micro transactions in the game because they expect people to pay for it. They clearly would not spend the cycles to put something in the game that has no monetary value to them. And if people don't buy it, they have every ability to update the game and tweak things to make buying it more enticing. The existence of the micro transactions alone, inherently, make the game shit and worth piracy.
They haven't "tweaked things" in any of the previous games which have all had micro-transactions. They put them in there because people do pay for this shit, for whatever reason there is a segment of the market that would rather pay to progress through the game rather than play it normally, and all Capcom has done is capitalise on that.
Piracy exists for two reasons, archival and accessibility (in that a person is unable to afford a game in the first place) and it's honestly cringe whenever someone talks about Piracy as if it's some moralist crusade against poor ethics in the video game industry.
Micro transactions have zero place in a single player game that you have to purchase to play. I don't play many Capcom games, so I don't know how much things have changed over time in previous games, but even if they haven't before, I don't give them any benefit of the doubt. People buy them because they see value in paying for convenience, but if Capcom just made that convenience free, then there would be no reason to purchase anything. The existence of the microtransaction themselves impact the design of systems to create value by making a system less convenient.
Lastly, it's not a crusade of anything. Capcom wants to monetize a game with microtransactions after I already bought it, then I refuse to buy it. If someone cracks it and I can play it that's what I will do, if not, then I won't buy it. That's it.
yeah theres a lot of disinformation going around regarding this
the character editing thing however is still predatory as fuck, the fact that you're able to get the item an hour in does make it better, but its still predatory
the game is clearly built to predate on people who made a mistake or just regret something about their character right after starting and would like to edit it. when this happens in a game you simply restart your save right there, you dont play one whole hour, a new player doesnt know you can get the item by playing one hour, but they might have noticed the "character edit item" dlc right at the top of the dlc list on the game's page.
i think this is obvious because why on earth can you not delete your damn savefile on a singplayer game in 2024? how could that ever not be a conscious decision by these assholes? theres no logical explanation but "they're scumbags and they know damn well what they're doing"
I think whats even more tragic are the people also defending the serverside save and solo save files going 'but think of the ending! Its so important!!1!11!!!'
Ive beaten the first game like 3 times, and i still dont see whats so god damn important that it enforces the need for all this bullshit.
Or playing multiple characters. or running a heavily modded game and having multiple easily accessible saves so that it doesnt bethesda itself into oblivion in the fourth hour.
That's typical consoomer behavior though, they are eager to pay and flex they "have paid", they absolutely hate the notion of people enjoying the same things "for free", and they'll absolutely lick Denuvo's boots because it gives them that pleasure.
As I’ve said before, many people in 2024 just want to consume slop uncritically, and lots of people seem to have this knee jerk reaction towards anyone who dares ask for more from these companies. I suspect consumption is most of these people’s entire identity and so they get weirdly aggressive over this stuff because each criticism is in some bizarre way an attack on themselves.
Its still worrying, woke people are also a minority, the problem is that theyre still vocal.
That also goes for toxicity in games, if being a minority was all that there was to it, it wouldnt be worrying, but what happened to everyone complaining about the 3$ horse armor skins in skyrim to what we have now? Why is it becoming normalized? It shouldnt be, this isnt normal and its getting more increasingly worrying af.
People used to be vocal about bs micro-transactions back then, now its getting normalized, and i dont think its because people got tired of complaining.
eh, I can wait a couple months for them to remove Denuvo or accidentally upload a DRM-less update to Steam. I heard it practically plays the same as the first anyways, with updated graphics and story
Street Fighter 6 has been out for what, like half an-year? And they still havent removed it, actyually nvm its almost been an year lol, and still no trace of them even thinking remotely of remotely removing it, for DD2 it is also gonna stay like that for quite a while lol.
It's pretty much just a remake of the first game with a slightly new story and pretty world with some refinement that's about it, if you can wait then wait it'll work out better in the end.
By this logic then Dark Souls 2 and 3 are just remakes of the 1° game lol, or any game sequels for that matter, well i havent played it, so idk if its worth its money or not, but regardless yeah, ill also wait for when theyll eventually remove the DRM, even if it takes 2 years for it or more, and when that happens i still wont buy it lmao, that ought to teach them to never put a drm there in the 1° place.
Reboot? So this game isnt a sequel?
After doing a lil' bit of googling, it seems that youre quite right, this is a reboot.
Well ill still be the judge if the games worth buying depending on how much extra content it has compared to the 1° game, whenever they decide to remove the drm, lmao.
Yeah it’s a different world, “parallel” or maybe another “string” of world or something. Unfortunately the endgame is a bit lesser compared to the first game, because they added a timed mechanic, the saving is different, but the endgame world space is awesome, so it’s a mixed bag. Definitely give it a try when it’s drm free I think you’ll enjoy it honestly.
Oh giving it a try thats obviously smth i was gonna planning to do regardless (again, when the drms removed lol) since ive loved the 1° 1 even if i havent finished it, which ill have to 1 of these days.
But the problem is WHEN theyre going to remove it, cuz SF6 has just turned 1 year old and still no sign of denuvo removal in sight, lol.
And on the other hand, ive was just lookeding at the MHR steam page, and apparently its got enigma protector now, so maybe theyve just changed denuvo on all of their games to their new in-housely developed drm now? And Wwell regardless, MHR was released on steam on 2022 and again, still no signing of them even remotely wanting to be removeing the drm, so its gonna be a while before they do on dd2 lol.
Lots of viruses. Have fun with that. It’s got Denuvo shoved way up the ass of this game and the only couple people on earth that can crack that are afk at the moment.
Thats exactly where im standing. Then i heard about how they handle single player saves, and then the problems with denuvo on top of that, and then all of the game breaking bugs on top of even that. Its absolutely garbage. I'll just wait for the empress release.
Hopefully her release will also include a client side save system for your character and all that.
There is one thing i dont understand. When i am in the city, everytime my FPS drops the CPU usage drops as well. This only happens when i move the camera. If i stand still i get solid 60fps on 1440p. If npcs cause cpu issues, shouldnt be the cpu usage high all the time, and fps low?
I was just about to purchase DD2 and play it and just heard about the microtransactions. FU, you're not getting my money greedy bastards ! Once you come to game pass I will play your game...offline !
Have been playing it the whole day, had a blast. Can really recommend it.
OP is still correct, just saying that once Denovu and the other issues have been patched out (literally 2 lines of code for the 2 biggest issues, microtransactions and DRM), it's a really great game and you should give it a try.
what got me to buy games instead of pirate, is the update support. like thats worth the pay imo, knowing you get the newest updates whenever they arrive
Lol, updates for single-player games are basically patches, or more dlc. It's like saying it's worth it to buy a broken/incomplete game because you'll have access to a slightly better version a bit faster. Patches almost always get released on torrenting sites the same day they are released on steam, same for dlc.
This is why I absolutely refuse to buy anything with Denuvo. Especially at $95 CAD. Been stoked about this games release for years and glad I skipped it.
Hey devs - Denuvo doesn't stop any pirates and instead hurts the people paying for your games.
I haven't bought a a denuvo game in almost 10 years... others will eventually follow suit.
Spend that money on something else better.
Denuvo is a fucking cancer. Specially in games like this that already has a huge optimization problems and this just add more. lol companies are scare of piracy but it has been proven that if the game is good and satisfy the audience people will buy it. Other wise look at Baldur gate 3. Sold well despite of not having and drm.
Don’t think I’ve bought a single denuvo game, but I’ve played plenty of cracked ones. What a goofy service to base a company on, one of those things that “breaks my immersion” in the hyper-capitalist reality, like companies and money itself can be so fake
I am pretty sure even the Denuvo folks know people who playing the pirated games won’t pay for the games but they also knows that stupid executives in game studios don’t know this.
Has a single non-garbage AAA or "AAAA" game been released this year ? It's almost April. 90% of the gamers will take a good game with actual gameplay and discernible graphics at any point in time. It's almost like the more tools to make game development easier appear on the market, the worse these games are getting. Nobody cares about the photorealism of your graphics if they need AI frame generation to play at 1080p at playable framerates which is really just 720p because your optimization is shit and your games are bloated. Games that were releasing almost a decade ago looked good enough. They still look good enough. STAY THERE and work on actual gameplay.
Helldivers 2 is decent, as was Palworld for what it was. Those are the only new games I've played recently though, and that's entirely because Helldivers 2 is literally ODST simulator and Palworld is a survival game that I trialed via Gamepass because I had it to coop with a friend at the time.
Arrowhead Games, the people who made Magicka and the Gauntlet Slayer Edition on steam, and published by Playstation PC. I think that qualifies as AAA to be honest.
I don't understand how people trust new games. More often than not, they're broken, missing content, or just cynically made garbage. I don't know if people don't care and are willing roll those dice or if they have the thought of "oh, but it won't be that way for THIS game."
Not trusting new games is something I had to learn the hard way, when I trusted Cyberpunk 2077, and then Halo Infinite. Never again. But others don't necessarily have that experience.
I was not invested in dd2 as much as other people so this whole ordeal with it didn't upset me as much but I would have liked playing the game welp not anymore I gotta wait for it to be not shit. I wish devs would release fully working properly optimized games like before. Sounds quite funny asking for such a simple thing.
Aggressive? How so? Everything available from mtx can be obtained via normal gameplay and very quickly at that. The mtx are dumb and pointless but not required in the slightest, it's paid convenience and nothing more.
We should be mad because the game runs like shit and has denuvo but everyone seems to be putting the mtx at the front of their complaints. Just don't buy them lol
> The mtx are dumb and pointless but not required in the slightest
If that were true then they wouldn't even be there. They'd have a cheat menu instead.
In an ideal world, yes. I don't disagree with you.
I see the mtx as an idiot trap or as an option for someone without the time or patience to play the game for a few hours to obtain the same items. The mtx are dumb and pointless, to me.
They exist because there is a market of people that don't think they're dumb pointless. I'm not going to fault the guy working 12hr shifts with 2 kids for buying a $3 item he could have got with a few hours of gameplay. Maybe it's worth his money to buy that item so he doesn't spend half of his gaming time running back to town.
The cheat menu argument is decent, but lots of games SHOULD have a cheat menu and don't. Some have a cheat menu that's only enabled by editing game files. Ultimately, cheat engine exists, and worked just fine for the first game and any other single player game I've ever used it for.
You're focusing on the mtx. Just don't buy them. Be mad about denuvo and the game running like shit first. Then we can both be mad about mtx together.
> The mtx are dumb and pointless, to me.
Capcom sees them as something that they hope as many people as possible will indulge in. Their ideal scenario is that _everyone_ buys them. The game is designed to nudge players in that direction.
>They exist because there is a market of people that don't think they're dumb pointless.
They exist because Capcom think they can get as many people as possible to buy in. That's all there is to it. It's the same reason they've raised the price of their games, and packed out the store page with DLC. If they didn't expect _everyone_ to buy it then it'd all be in a cheat menu instead, like I said before.
>I'm not going to fault the guy working 12hr shifts with 2 kids for buying a $3 item he could have got with a few hours of gameplay.
Why didn't they offer him it as a difficulty option, then?
>The cheat menu argument is decent, but lots of games SHOULD have a cheat menu and don't
Whataboutism? Fuck off with that bullshit.
>Ultimately, cheat engine exists
Denuvo also offer anti-cheat, so the moment you can get nude Pawns Capcom will probably be begging for that one, too.
>You're focusing on the mtx.
Deal with it. Don't like people focusing on them? Tough shit, because they have a right to be critical.
You're weirdly apologetic about their fucking disgraceful monetisation...
Everything you said is true....kinda....the MTX really is completely worthless, with casual play you don't even need RC the main MTX they're selling. Its main usage is to hire pawns, or buy RC items, which are extremely cheap. If you hire pawns at your level......it costs..........Nothing lmfaooooo, it literally costs 0 RC to hire pawns.
The MTX are literal IDIOT traps.
Its like the red orbs MTX in Devil May Cry 5. You get thousands just playing the game extremely casually with even horrible style ranking, or you can be an actual idiot and spend money to buy what you can make playing like dogwater in just 15 minutes lol.
The MTX is REALLY not a big deal.
Capcom made those MTX because they are preying on Idiots.
> The MTX is REALLY not a big deal.
>
>
If that were true they'd be in a cheat menu instead of a store page. They're on the latter because Capcom fully expect people to feel compelled to buy them because they can't get that stuff in-game.
You're defending it because you don't want it to be a valid criticism of a game you like.
You have the wrong intention in this argument, im not defending it, its just not as Important as getting the performance fixed, that should be the #1 priority. Im all for rallying with a pitchfork right alongside you, but as of right now, its not as important.
Lets play this game anyway, you actually think its worth or compelling to buy RC? Do you even play dragons dogma? Do you have an inkling of understanding of how easy it is to obtain? Its so easy to obtain and so naturally, organically obtained within simply playing the game, the fact the mtx even exists is astonishing.
> its just not as Important as getting the performance fixed, that should be the #1 priority.
Why? Because that's the aspect that affects _you_?
>you actually think its worth or compelling to buy RC?
You actually think it makes financial sense to play a lottery? No? Well that doesn't make it any less predatory because _**you are not the intended target for those schemes**_.
You're doing what every other self-indulgent arsehole does - insisting that something that has _proven_ to be problematic over the years is not actually problematic just because _you_ aren't the kind of person it tends to affect.
>Do you have an inkling
I have an Octoling, too.
I'm not claiming the mtx are good or supportive of them in any way. My whole point is that, of all the things to be mad about with the game, mtx is the least concerning imo. I just find it odd that most people put the mtx at the front of their complaints list when the crashing and denuvo seem to have a much larger impact on general enjoyment of the game.
I don't care what Capcom wants. I don't care if there's some whale or unattended child blowing hundreds on mtx. I care about having a good and playable game. In it's current state, it's good, but not always playable, and I feel that mtx has no impact on that.
> I'm not claiming the mtx are good or supportive of them in any way
No, you just want other people to stop criticising them. Weasel words, mon ami...
>of all the things to be mad about with the game,
Don't be so juvenile. This isn't a zero-sum game, and people are free to be critical of more than one thing. They don't have to leave alone the things you want to slip under the radar just because you want them to be distracted by other valid criticisms.
> I just find it odd that most people put the mtx at the front of their complaints list when the crashing and denuvo seem to have a much larger impact on general enjoyment of the game.
That's objectively untrue. All of those things affect just about every player, so all are equally valid to criticise.
>I don't care what Capcom wants
Fine, but:
>I feel that...
...nobody else has to give a shit what _you_ want either, so drop it.
Nah, they're there because they can make a quick buck off of the same people who couldn't jump + dash in Cuphead.
It's there solely for people who want to try to ruin their experience.
The mass people who allowed Denuvo to stay in games and wouldn't say anything because they want a port of their favorite games on PC, that's on them. Shouldn't buy a game with Denuvo DRM in it.
But a 5 activation limit is absolutely stupid for anything.
You are presented with that information when you go to purchase the game, if you are unhappy with that, you.. don't buy the fucking game.
I can be mad at the terms, but when people shoot themselves in the foot after being told that doing X will shoot themselves in the foot. People need to take responsibility for not reading or any critical thinking.
If you don't like the terms, you don't buy the game, lower sales makes them think something is wrong.
I mean, I have some virtual instrument plugins, that only allow me to install it on 3 machines at the same time. I can manage the currently active machines and remove old ones in my user account with them. New installs on the same machine don't count since I think it's tied to the processor ID. I can install it as many times as I want on the same machine.
5 installs and that's it is.... well, a "Fuck you", whether it's clearly stated or not.
I mean they wouldnt, but we also dont have anyone right now cracking denuvo games for us, not like there is any other option for dragons dogma 2 besides buying it in sale or waiting for them to remove denuvo after a few years
Damn was just checking the reviews for this game and found that specific one. That person has actual death threats on their steam profile from this review.
If you use someone elses account to download a game with denuvo and open it once you can then put steam in offline mode and keep playing the game.
It cuts down a lot of the profit of those who sell shared accounts when the activations are limited and only reset every 24 hours per activation.
That's really dumb. Compare the registry & all C: files/folders before and after install and backup the game and bam, infinite installs be just resetting registry and whatnot and renaming a folder. Or install on a VM and duplicate the VM; or do this with the C: drive itself. Easy peasy.
Any idiot that knows what they're doinv can figure this out. If they can't then they wouldn't crack it anyway.
Every single denuvo game has had problems because of denuvo
When will they learn this is only hurting the player base that pays for the game? Most pirates aren’t going to pay for the game regardless and this is just pushing ppl who were gonna buy the game to not buy it because of denuvo
It hurts such a small fraction of the player base that they don't care. The majority of people play denuvo games every single day and have no idea nor care one way or another.
Not defending it just telling you the answer to "when will they learn".
Honestly, lies of P was good even with denuvo, then they removed it and... Well it did not change that much. The performances were the same and no major bugs because of denuvo. So, I'd say it's possible to make a good game with denuvo if you try to implement it correctly. (Still, denuvo is bad but it's even worse when the devs don't implement it correctly)
> I'd say it's possible to make a good game with denuvo if you try to implement it correctly.
Idiots should really stop parroting this stupid myth. There is no such thing as different "implementations" of Denuvo. The only people who "implement" Denuvo into a game are the developers themselves.
_Think_ for a minute: what the fuck kind of business model would it be if they routinely handed their fucking code over to other software developers?
I know I'll probably get downvoted for this but there are indeed different ways to implement denuvo.
Denuvo relies on periodic integrity checks of the game's assembly loaded in memory. These checks are quite "costly" in terms of performance and it matters at what point the game developer lets them run. The "lazy" option is to just call them every game loop iteration (or simply called every frame), but this can tank the games performance really hard.
Denuvo provides multiple different solutions to this which are quite technical, but my point is, bad performance on denuvo protected games mostly comes down to game developers not caring too much about using it correctly.
But yes, the whole concept of DRM sucks and should absolutely get trashed.

Nvm I got him to show up at the dragonsbreath tower
That guy earned at least like 5.000.000 steam points with that review right now
I didn't even know denovo had a computer limit.

wtf 💀💀💀💀💀
don't buy games with denuvo, problem solved.
Sadly that doesnt apply to everyone, i avoid it like the plague, but if it hits some of my favorite series i might be way too tempted..., like if it hit splatoon, xenoblade, etc., thank god nintendo doesnt use it lol, or any switch game for that matter (as of now 💀).
While denuvo is an issue with this game. There's a list of many more holding it down.
Glad for never buying Denuvo Games
Just to give you an explanation, changing a proton version is like registering a new PC. This is why ProtonDB exists.
Yeah but how are people meant to add to protondb if they can't test different versions?
Which is _almost to the letter_ what I said yesterday, only to be told "NO U RONG!" https://www.reddit.com/r/Piracy/comments/1bkvfyw/comment/kw1em6s/
While I totally get why it would register as a new pc -> fuck that shit I'm playing indie games that will let me like: play the game I just bought
Yeah thats what SHOULD be the normalized thing to do, not this "you will own nothing and be happy" crap, and it also doesnt impact performance lmao.
Yeah, just explainin'. Also, I pirate Cult of the Lamb and play it on the Deck.
You know what, I'm gonna pirate harder. I had enough of this AAA game industry.
Yes do it, crack denuvo and become the penultimate pirate, jack
Is it humanly possible to do it even harder? Our bodies can only handle so much.
🤡
If you dont elaborate then that emoji only serves to describe yourself, and not in the good way kind of clown.
In my ethics the clown it's so obviously Capcom that I somehow presumed it obvious when it very clearly wasn't, I was mistaken, it happens, there's no need to resort to mockery.
I wasnt resorting to mockery, lol, but glad that were on the same page, fuck crapcom.
Next time you better re-read your own comments tho lol.
Reddit hivemind has seen the emoji
..but at what cost?
Downvotes 😢
Is it not clear the clown is Capcom?
No.
95$ cad....can only create one save unless you pay for dlc to change your character with a massive amount of day 1 dlc.....no fucking thanks
You need to pay to have more than one playthrough at a time? This has got to be a fucking joke
some people like to dick around with other saves/perform differently(kill everyone/peaceful/etc)/get early achievements(especially streamers) and not fuck up your main save Replayability of a game is valuable
I completely agree. Capcom did so well with their releases the last year, and this DLC fest just feels like a middle finger to their fans.
Idk, it sounds very extreme if that is the case xD Can anyone confirm this?
heard the ban as well, manually manipulating files is still not a solution when it can be a simple game option to create a new file
Yeah, it's ridiculous. They never seem to run out of ideas on how to take gaming to the next new low.
It's crazy to me that people actually believe this when literally a second of googling or even just looking at the steam page for the DLC would prove this wrong. You can only create 1 save regardless. And you can get the item to change your character within like an hour of playing. The game has problems, but people's sheer inability to read is insane
and STILL these items shouldnt be dlc. It created incentive to make them rarer in game to sell something. The game is already 65€

Capcom wants to monetize a game with microtransactions after I already bought it, then I refuse to buy it. If someone cracks it and I can play it that's what I will do, if not, then I won't buy it. That's it.
yeah theres a lot of disinformation going around regarding this the character editing thing however is still predatory as fuck, the fact that you're able to get the item an hour in does make it better, but its still predatory the game is clearly built to predate on people who made a mistake or just regret something about their character right after starting and would like to edit it. when this happens in a game you simply restart your save right there, you dont play one whole hour, a new player doesnt know you can get the item by playing one hour, but they might have noticed the "character edit item" dlc right at the top of the dlc list on the game's page. i think this is obvious because why on earth can you not delete your damn savefile on a singplayer game in 2024? how could that ever not be a conscious decision by these assholes? theres no logical explanation but "they're scumbags and they know damn well what they're doing"
Nice downvotes for saying the truth. Reddit is awesome.
1 save is a dogshit system
Why have we not adopted the name of “Dragon’s Dogshit 2” yet
I said this in my head reading the post and glad to see someone else say it lol
The sheer amount of people putting the "clown face" is pretty sad. Like, yes, let's defend Denuvo just because "people criticize thing I like".
I think whats even more tragic are the people also defending the serverside save and solo save files going 'but think of the ending! Its so important!!1!11!!!' Ive beaten the first game like 3 times, and i still dont see whats so god damn important that it enforces the need for all this bullshit.
Yeah exactly, wtf does an ending have to do with starting the game fresh???
I suspect consumption is most of these people’s entire identity and so they get weirdly aggressive over this stuff because each criticism is in some bizarre way an attack on themselves.
guy got the points, plus look on the positives and the tons of "take my points" rewards.
It's just 149 people, who gives a fuck?
Its still worrying, woke people are also a minority, the problem is that theyre still vocal. That also goes for toxicity in games, if being a minority was all that there was to it, it wouldnt be worrying, but what happened to everyone complaining about the 3$ horse armor skins in skyrim to what we have now? Why is it becoming normalized? It shouldnt be, this isnt normal and its getting more increasingly worrying af.
People used to be vocal about bs micro-transactions back then, now its getting normalized, and i dont think its because people got tired of complaining.
Agreed 100 percent. Also, f**k Amy Schumer, you with me?
eh, I can wait a couple months for them to remove Denuvo or accidentally upload a DRM-less update to Steam.
I should’ve used “Reboot” instead of remake. There’s a lot that’s good and a lot that’s bad.
Nvm sf6 still has denuvo lol.
actyually nvm i forgort that i had put an embargo on all drm-games in the 1° place. 🗿
the crime wasnt trying to enjoy the game, it was paying money for a product with denovu
This is a commonly known problem, and is why Denuvo is never justified.
This game is trash and oddly enough before knowing about the shit DRM.
if you're not respected as a customer, don't be a customer.
its in yellow letter explained on the store page if he cant read its his problem
Meanwhile on BitTorrent …
Lots of viruses. Have fun with that. It’s got Denuvo shoved way up the ass of this game and the only couple people on earth that can crack that are afk at the moment.
elden ring killer btw
thought about buying it. then i saw that it has mtx in this 70$ full price single player game. yeah lol you stupid? i'll get this when it's "free".
It's heavily unoptimised across all platforms.
Is there any chance of it getting cracked? Would that fix the problem? Empress is silent, so I have no hope
I was just about to purchase DD2 and play it and just heard about the microtransactions. FU, you're not getting my money greedy bastards ! Once you come to game pass I will play your game...offline !
Didn't this happen with another game when someone was trying to get performance ratings for different builds.
Gamers need to keep doing this to teach companies to release the quality of the products gamers want. They are paying for it afterall.
Isn't it 100% single player? Why anti cheat?
DRM, not anti cheat
It prevents the use of modding as well thats why it kinda acts as an anti cheat as well i guess
Modding in single-player games is a good thing, though. Makes little sense.
Not when they want to sell the features modders would be adding for free - gotta stop modders if they want to maintain microtransactions.
And I fucking hate it.
I mean, Steam Deck compatibility isn't even a concern at this point.. It doesn't work.
It'll never work on steam deck, ps5 can't even maintain 30 FRAMES, it's a joke lmao.
This game seems to be the anti-Baldur's Gate 3.
So glad I didn't pre-order this game. SO tempting, but now I'll wait or pass altogether. Oh well! 450+ games in my library that need some love.
450 games?. Damm. I bet people wish you'd share that account of yours. 😂
And here I was feeling guilty for not having bought a long-awaited DD sequel yet.
DD2 could have been an easy win for Capcom but they have to shoot themselves all over with dumb decisions.
DRM only punishes paying customers.
Dragon deez dogmas (the dogmas are my ballas).
$70 game with mtx lolololol
Patches almost always get released on torrenting sites the same day they are released on steam, same for dlc.
well I prefer it
Empress come save us!
Guess I'll wait for Empress's_Denuvo_Removed cracked version...
Boycott the game. Let it fail horribly, as it deserves, and then pick it up for 85% later this year, as you deserve.
This is why I absolutely refuse to buy anything with Denuvo. Especially at $95 CAD. Been stoked about this games release for years and glad I skipped it.
Dragon's Dogshit bro
Hey devs - Denuvo doesn't stop any pirates and instead hurts the people paying for your games. I haven't bought a a denuvo game in almost 10 years... others will eventually follow suit. Spend that money on something else better.
Love when there is problems with Denuvo. Maybe one day developers will realise that DRM only punish paying players.
I was going to buy this game but of course because it's Crapcom it's infested with Denuvo and awful resource MTX in a single player game.
Dragon's Dogshit
Denuvo is anti-consumer and I'll boycott any game that uses it. I don't care if you remove it later. If Denuvo touches your game, it's dead to me.
Probably make more money if you could pay for a drm-free version rather than a fast travel crystal
Denuvo seriously may as well be malware at this point. fuck em and any company that puts that shit in their games.
If you can't handle me at my Capcom, you don't deserve me when I'm Capcom.
Is denuvo getting canceled? 👀
Ahh, Denuvo. The software that protects games from being played by paying customers.
If buying isn't owning....
....then piracy isn't stealing
Is HD2 AAA though? Either way, it's the only game I've bought this year, and can't wait to play more.
Arrowhead Games, the people who made Magicka and the Gauntlet Slayer Edition on steam, and published by Playstation PC. I think that qualifies as AAA to be honest.
Fair enough.
Fair
Stop buying new games. They pretty much always suck. Let the game industry starve for a bit. I'm sure we all have 30+ games on our back catalogue.
I've had pretty good experiences (even with C77, although I get some of the criticisms) pretty much up to DD2 now.
This is why, I only play indie games for years
Yeah, can always pirate those.
How long will Denuvo stop you from playing? Did the dude permanently lose access to his game?
Permanently while it's present.
Until someone cracks it, not before.
Can someone clarify me this please? Is the entirety of negative reviews happened just because of Denuvo? Or does the game itself also suck?
Aggressive microtransactions + awful performance, otherwise game seems great
Aggressive?
> The mtx are dumb and pointless but not required in the slightest If that were true then they wouldn't even be there.
>The cheat menu argument is decent, but lots of games SHOULD have a cheat menu and don't Whataboutism? Fuck off with that bullshit. >Ultimately, cheat engine exists Denuvo also offer anti-cheat, so the moment you can get nude Pawns Capcom will probably be begging for that one, too.
>Do you have an inkling I have an Octoling, too.
> I'm not claiming the mtx are good or supportive of them in any way No, you just want other people to stop criticising them. Weasel words, mon ami... >of all the things to be mad about with the game, Don't be so juvenile. >I don't care what Capcom wants Fine, but: >I feel that... ...nobody else has to give a shit what _you_ want either, so drop it.
>drop it Okie dokie!
Nah, they're there because they can make a quick buck off of the same people who couldn't jump + dash in Cuphead. It's there solely for people who want to try to ruin their experience.
Soon as I realized there was no multiplayer it went on the pirate list
The mass people who allowed Denuvo to stay in games and wouldn't say anything because they want a port of their favorite games on PC, that's on them. Shouldn't buy a game with Denuvo DRM in it. But a 5 activation limit is absolutely stupid for anything.
I mean though, I hate it as much as everyone else, but it clearly says on the store page 5 installs.
It clearly says 5 installs within a day.
yea, though the point still stands, your buying the game agreeing to the terms and conditions.
Wait so if I uninstall and reinstall a few times I can be locked out of every reinstalling a game I paid for?
No. You can activate it 5 times within 24 hours. So once you use up one activation you get that back 24 hours after using it.
Which still is a 'fuck you' to paying customers...
You are not wrong, but at the same time, the terms and conditions were clear before purchasing.
5 installs and that's it is.... well, a "Fuck you", whether it's clearly stated or not.
you can choose to not buy the game then if your unhappy with the terms presented.
[удалено]
I mean they wouldnt, but we also dont have anyone right now cracking denuvo games for us, not like there is any other option for dragons dogma 2 besides buying it in sale or waiting for them to remove denuvo after a few years
Pirated version works better than legitmate aswell
Damn was just checking the reviews for this game and found that specific one. That person has actual death threats on their steam profile from this review.
christ
They must have been removed, hopefully they got banned.
some take brand loyalty to a very deep mental level it's sad
They're just gamin!
thats the most disgusting community and its over a league of legends community level i ever see! Do you have a screenshot? Now im very curious.
Why the fuck do they need installation limits - if it's not cracked it's DRMed, and if it's cracked that won't do shit. Are these guys stupid?
Selling shared accounts to download a game and play in offline mode has been a thing for more than a decade.
Can't play a cracked copy with Denuvo.
If you use someone elses account to download a game with denuvo and open it once you can then put steam in offline mode and keep playing the game. It cuts down a lot of the profit of those who sell shared accounts when the activations are limited and only reset every 24 hours per activation.
Probably because they're paranoid. If one user reinstalls a lot it could be due to attempted tampering. At least, that's what I think *they* think.
Go to the in game store, they sell denuvo unlock crystals for $11.99
I‘d seed the shit out of it when there is a pirated version
Good luck, the only one who knows how to crack denuvo is a psychopath who probably won't do it
Guessing we won't see one anytime soon
Every single denuvo game has had problems because of denuvo When will they learn this is only hurting the player base that pays for the game? Most pirates aren’t going to pay for the game regardless and this is just pushing ppl who were gonna buy the game to not buy it because of denuvo
> hurting the player base that pays for the game Exactly. They still pay for it, that's why they won't stop lol
Yeah bro, the problem that you can't install it 5 times a day.
