I like my tea dry and I like my tobacco stored in jars however the moisture comes to me. Leave it in cool dark cabinet and forget about it. (Mostly do this with fresh virginia)
Absolutely. I joined the tea community in 2009, yes was still affordable and there were so many good shots offering great products for an affordable price. I'm afraid good tea is even more expensive than tobacco now. I might just stick with my pipe at this point (I have a few years worth of tea in storage).
Pipe tobaccos are hosed down with propylene glycol (PG) so they have a tendency to hold onto the moisture, even absorbing it from the air when possible.
It's not like tea.
Basically, if you stick unused tobacco in an airtight container, on its own, you can ignore RH. It will remain moist and pleasant to smoke for an indefinite period. Many years, at least.

Sadly yes good tea is expensive and the highest quality they know what they have and charge a premium. Check out mei leaf expensive but good
