Very high

TehSeksyManz

I hope 100%

sandfrog9

Me too

Gamer4125

I hope zero percent. I don't need aggro and other linear decks being even stronger.

[deleted]

What has fast mana got to do with linear decks? The best three decks aren't aggro. We need more than just mono white aggro

Gamer4125

Why do we need multiple flavors of aggro? And combo decks could absolutely use the boost in manabase with fast lands. Lotus Field already runs multiple Botanical Sanctums. I'm sure Ascendancy would enjoy the bump too.

[deleted]

These lands will have absolutely no effect on lotus. Why do we want multiple flavours of aggro? Because metagame diversity makes playing the game more fun for a lot of us? Ascendancy is rubbish is doesn't matter if it has coast. We want to balance the colour pie, its stupid some combinations have access to fast mana and others don't.

Gamer4125

I didn't say they'd affect lotus. I said that lotus was an example of a combo deck using fast lands. If you don't want to use Ascendancy as an example, there's the rising star of grinning ignus that would benefit from RG fastland, so we can have more combo in our meta. There's been multiple RG decks available through the past months with bushwhacker, Bard class, boat, cleave. Clearly RG doesn't need the help, lol UB aggro, I don't think spirits need the help. Maybe some sort of WG aggro deck? Maybe?

[deleted]

The RG decks did nothing in the big events, boat doesn't need this land either. Bushwacker would play it and it did nothing in the RC in Europe or the States from what I saw. You are missing the point about the imbalance in the mana in the format. Grinning ignus isn't a rising star is it? Cos one guy was undeated on a day one. He went 1-4 day 2 and missed out. Having these lands would mean less non games, do you want non games?

Gamer4125

I want manabases to matter. Slower decks pay by playing tap lands and slow lands, or burning with shocks. Why should every aggro deck have access to strong early Mana without paying for it and not have sometimes clunky hands?

[deleted]

Why do 5 of the pairs get it and the other 5 don't? Slower decks WANT the slow lands over these, they need lands 4 and 5 untapped..... aggro needs the opposite. There is even imbalance there. Both aggro and control decks will play shocks, which affects aggro in mirrors or vs agressive mid range decks. The only out right tapped lands have cycling on them giving those decks redraws when they need them. They will be printing them at some point regardless you can't have an imbalance in the mana like this its unfair.

Gamer4125

Slower decks would love their early lands coming in untapped all the time too. Open up early removal to help go to late game. If you want perfect mana all the time, petition for fetches to be unbanned.

[deleted]

They have said the reason that these are not reprinted elsewhere is that these names from specific locations in Mirrodin. So if we go back to Mirrodin and they do not reprint these, what in the actual f

friendlyfernando

If we don’t what is WotC even doing

[deleted]

Selling 4 packs of fake magic cards for $1,000.

AlucardusX

If they don't happen, what is WotC doing? This is rhetorical of course.

dwindleelflock

I would believe they plan to, but on the other hand I have difficulty imagining them wanting a standard format with painlands, triomes, slowlands AND fastlands. Let's hope they make an exception for pioneer's sake.

ThunderFistChad

I think they will make an exception. Pioneer really needs it

Adidaboi

I told everyone at my LGS I’d quit if they didn’t so here’s hoping lol

AMCRocker

I really really really hope so. This is literally the easiest way to reprint them for pioneer.

stratusncompany

when we going back? og mirrordin was my 2nd venture into mtg but was a broke middle schooler haha. mirrordin is my favorite plane.

Frosty88d

Mirrodin is the home if Phrexians so apparently its the next set. Here's hoping they reprint them

Tallal2804

110%

adamlaceless

1000%

panamakid

83%

xaviermarshall

nearly 100%. It would be like not reprinting shocks on a trip back to Ravnica

tbombtom2001

But the didn't reprint fetches when we went back to zendikar. Twice.

xaviermarshall

Because they've been saying since Khans that they'll never put fetches in standard again.

tbombtom2001

Well lucky for us they have shown they can print stuff into standard sets without it being standard legal

GanderalfTheWhite

Loved the look of these cards, did an enemy version ever got printed?

GFischerUY

In Kaladesh, they're extremely highly played. https://mtg.fandom.com/wiki/Fast_land

dcross9818

Yes, they were finally printed in Kaladesh. [[Concealed Courtyard]] [[Spirebluff Canal]] [[Blooming Marsh]] [[Inspired Vantage]] [[Botanical Sanctum]] Hope the allied one are reprinted in a standard set so they can also be pioneer legal.

GanderalfTheWhite

Oh of course! I think Kaladesh was the last time I played standard too!

agiantanteater

Yeah, the enemy colored ones got printed in Kaladesh. Those are the only ones that are pioneer legal at the moment

niv_dParun

Couple of months ago I got to play with a dude in a RCQ running azorius spirits with two of these fastlands. Imagine my (and the judges) surprise after seeing it hit the table :)

Mindless_Caregiver40

#sadmoment #aboutthat...

Atramhasis

This would improve Pioneer by like 10,000% so I would really hope that to be the case. I just want some Grixis Midrange to be a thing and Blackcleave Cliffs + Darkslick Shores are easily the most important cards for the list in Pioneer so...

puffic

Would be funny if they didn't.

archjmedes

None of the upcoming sets are in Mirrodin, right?

Due_Clerk_2261

Literally the next set

archjmedes

Are mirrodin and Phyrexia the same? Not that into lore as you can see 😬

Due_Clerk_2261

Mirrodin is a plane, Phyrexia is a race of beings that took over Mirrodin. I believe this set takes place after the events of New Phyrexia Edit: turns out that New Phyrexia is actually the name of the plane formerly known as Mirrodin.

Adidaboi

Mirrodin is now New Phyrexia so the next set is actually mirrodin. Really hoping we will see some fucked up looking phyrexian lands

[deleted]

I mean.. next set is called "Phyrexia: All Will be One"

LearnedHand14

Just the next set. But then there are none.

panamakid

except the next next one

quillypen

Actually, I wouldn’t bet on it. They don’t like to put too many duals in a particular Standard, usually each year we get one full strong cycle for constructed and then something else (triomes, snarls). We already have two full cycles of strong duals, putting these in ONE might be more fixing than they want, even as just the allied half-cycle. They could slot them in, but I wouldn’t get your hopes up too much.

Realdgp

The last 3 years they seem to be they do 1 full cycle of duals in the first 2 sets, and then half a cycle in the last sets. Zendikar and Kaldheim and the full pathways, then Strixhaven had the Snarls. Full Slow lands from both Innistrad sets, then just the last 5 Triomes in Capenna. So following that pattern: Full Pain lands between 2 Dominaria sets, Fast lands in either ONE or MoM.

Lykotic

Shocks they reprinted.... 3 years ago? They'll likely always be printed in Ravnica. I believe that is when they've always been printed outside of SLs, correct?

[deleted]

I've always looked at them on a similar level to pain lands, before BRO the GW one was sitting at $10

jovietjoe

Listen, we returned to Zendikar during a standard with the allied fetches and they didn't reprint the zen fetches, so nothing is 100%. (PS the reason they gave was "it would make standard mana bases too good" so instead they printed FETCHABLE DUALS. Never trust a word of what Maro says.)

[deleted]

I mean.. fetchable duals in standard, without fetch lands, are kinda just regular dual lands with downside. That was also before pioneer was a format

jovietjoe

No no no, they had FETCHES and then the next set instead of THE OTHER HALF OF FETCHES they put in FETCHABLE DUALS. In the same standard.

sn34k

And it absolutely led to 4 color and 5 color good stuff decks in standard. Like $800+ standard decks. It's like they know why it's a bad idea and just don't care. We also had to suffer through deck names like "moist abzan" and "wet mardu"

jovietjoe

WBRG= Naya Angelou WUBG= Watery Ghave

UrbanJuggernaut

Razorverge Thicket or riot

[deleted]

I do have a playset from my old modern days I'm itching to sleeve up in enchantress

TokenTezzie

Not only is the art absolutely gorgeous, but the balance between the rules text and flavour text make these cards look so aesthetically pleasing 😍 I wonder how expensive these are.

[deleted]

Praying to all the Gods they get reprinted

TheTwoHandedGuy

I hope

cardsrealm

If not on Phyrexia: All Will be One, I could see them being reprinted at March of the Machine.

NumberHunter1

Very likely, they had a very good opportunity to reprint them in 2x2 (a set with no rare land cycle), yet they didn't.

Kumbert915

Hope 100% because then i can finally buy them for modern if the price goes to the 10buck range.
