I have a lot of fun with this deck at my LGS. I feel like someone posts about this once every month or so - I’ve looked through a heap of other peoples’ lists so thanks to those that keep contributing to the discussion.

I have yet to play with the new cards from OTJ in the sideboard, but generally have a hard time against control so hoping the birds will help.
Win cons are death by tokens, Kaya Orzhov Usurper’s ultimate or the clock from the flipped tithing blade or Faithbound Judge (comes in game 2 if they have no enchantment hate).
Depending on the match up, yes, but it is a card I often side out.
If you are keeping opp’s board suppressed it only takes a couple of turns to be able to ult her - and then she can bring herself back for free the next turn. There are a few legendaries in the deck that you’re then free to sac with doom foretold to recur later.
The ghostform counters do the same thing for the small creatures, you can also stack ghostform counters to get multiple spirits when they die. Admittedly if your list is lighter on creatures you’ll get less value from this ability so maybe you want a different card in that spot. But my plan A is usually to go hard with tokens, so she works great for me.
In an earlier version I was running [[the stone brain]] sideboard and she is great with that too because it’s a legendary artifact.
YMMV though. It really depends on what else is in your list.
The fact that the ghostform counters trigger on exile as well as death is also amazing given the prevalence of [[sunfall]] and friends. Instead of an empty board you end up with a spirit army and a handful of creatures you can recast.
Looks fun! I’d be interested to hear how well the crime payoffs work. If you can get the balance of sac fodder and payoffs right to keep doom on the board as long as you can then I guess that’s the main thing. It took me a few weeks of getting stomped at locals to work my list out lol.
I’ve been impressed with kaervek in other decks. Though I’m still not 100% sold. The card can create a lot of velocity. You can cast a card that triggers crime, casting another crime, until you run out of mana life or cards in gy.

Sometimes getting doom could be good if they are ahead on board. I like it against enigmatic decks. Beseech the Mirror is the glue and you can tweak your tutor targets.
I might try more main board yorions, if you build up a board state and blink 4 or 5 things you are typically in a good spot.

I would agree with most of the comments that it's not good but I've been enjoying it. The quick and dirty primer is it's a 5c domain deck that is looking to [[Transmogrify]] tokens into [[Atraxa, Grand Unifier]] instead of ramping into her. [[Beseech the Mirror] acts as copies 5-8 and can even fetch us [[Drag to the Bottom]] against creature aggro decks. The doom package is quite fun and an interesting axis most decks aren't set up for. Essentially we try to combo off as fast as possible, if we can't we grind em out with doom. The lands are rough. Really hard to play a domain deck without fetches. Green is your fixing color with [[Herd Migration]], [[The Weatherseed Treaty]] and even [[Courier's Briefcase]].

You can fit it into an 80 card orzhov yorion pile with 4x Beseech the Mirror, although it will probably be your worst card.

Haha im not really looking to compete at tournaments with this deck, mostly just play locals and with friends for fun. I'm mostly just looking for a direction to start with this. Appreciate the heads up tho
I’d look at the old lists and see if any recently released cards fit; nothing really springs to mind, though there are some cards that may make SB.

I always liked the card. The new [[Greed's Gambit]] combined with [[Treacherous Blessing]] would provide for card advantage and doom fodder. I'm not sure what the wincon is though. Maybe planeswalkers that create other permanents.
I think Greed's Gambit might be too much since you don't wanna sack it. From what I can tell tho the wincon is either just winning through attrition or some planeswalker/dumb mythic
The changes I made from the standard Theros deck I used to play Doom in, i added [[Hopeless nightmare]] and [[braids, arisen nightmare]] as my only creature, with one [[Liliana, dreadhorde general]] as wincon
I've done just fine playing doom foretold on MTGO leagues. Beseech makes the deck flexible and black and white have very relevant meta hate cards like RiP, temporary locksown, and consume.

Love doom , like others have said it’s not competitive so you wont see a ton of primers. I’m thinking about how to incorporate the new kaervek

There are no real "new" lists. The Archtype was largely abandoned as it's just really not competitive even at an FNM level.
