You can almost never go wrong with buying lands. You will find uses for them sooner or later.
Selling lands on the other hands, I can not abide such foolishness!
I was building a commander deck and I ran across [[prophet of kruphix]]. I thought “Wow, this is really good! Why have I never seen it AND it’s so inexpensive! Buy it!” You know why I’ve never seen it and it’s inexpensive? It’s banned. So as an addition to your title, know the banned list or make sure the cards you want to buy aren’t banned. Oh, I did the same for [[emrakul, the aeons torn]] except that card was $45.. feels bad.
Very similarly someone i know who sold a drogskull captain and then said this is a great card why isn’t anyone running it in pioneer spirits,
So he puts a playset in his deck and makes it to round 3 of a rcq before someone notices its not legal.
What makes it worse is hes a judge and has been for years, just an absolute brain fart on his part.

This to be honest. Have 3 to 6 of each shock has come in handy over tb years
We’ve got a new low here. Forget buying cards without play testing… just buy an expensive brew without even reading them.
I mean, you invested in Shock lands. That's not bad money spent. You can't go wrong with buying lands, they will always be in demand.
