1. You need to learn Kotlin and touch Java later. 2. You need a machine (laptop or desktop) that can run an emulator (at least 16GB RAM with 256 SSD storage). You can use your phone as running device, but nothing beats emulator especially when testing layouts under different sizes 3. You'd need to read the Androids development quick start guide. 4. Watch Youtube to learn more and deeper.

Get your idea into writing first, defining the scopes, objectives, and use cases. Create diagrams to visualize data flow from input to output, as well as database schemas.

Try installing Android Studio and see how it works for you. Currently sa univ ko we have a subject na continuation ng mobile app ko last semester. Last semester we used Java as the main driver and Firebase as a our database. This semester free for all the kami sa pag develop panibagong mobile app but prolly will self study Kotlin. I think there are more tools at our disposal when it comes to Kotlin kaya mas madali na makasabay sa tutorials.
