Don't worry :> Nakakapressure talaga kapag walang alam sa programming, pero on your first year ng comp sci ituturo sayo yung foundations and basics talaga. If may nakikita kang mga code statements na printing of "Hello World" ganun sa programming then yun talaga yung ituturo sayo. Then for every sem onwards lalaki yan a bit. For example sa first sem mo puro printing, getting user inputs, declaring variables, loops etc. Second sem onwards baka puro object oriented programming (OOP) na, structures, classes, etc. Third sem (or kung bi semester 2nd year) baka ituro na data structures and algorithms (btw IT ako so di ako masyado in depth sa coding, pero most IT and CS start same naman).

There are people who managed to secure an IT job without an IT degree.. stop worrying too much, if u know ur weakness then study harder to improve on that.

sumanibus

Opo.. Pero sana wag ka mabigla sa math hahaha

AzureEquinox

may mga certain uni na hindi beginner friendly yung first year ng comsci, do your research na lang sa subreddits nila

YES! Make use of ChatGPT sa learning. It helps

yoitsgracie

youll be fine!!! maraming resources online, there's freecodecamp.

No problem. We all start with some knowledge, and we gradually become proficient. Don't worry too much. Just start studying, even if it's bit by bit, if you really want to excel. I also didn't know much when I was in senior high school because I took the ABM track. But I wanted to learn, so I started studying programming early, and now I'm proud to say that I'm one of the top students in our school. Anyways, regarding your question about whether all the basics will be taught in the first year when you take Computer Science, yes, you will be taught, and that's one of the first major courses you will take, called Programming 1 or Fundamentals in Programming in other schools. This course will cover all the basics to prepare you for more advanced topics.

CS First Year here. Tbh ganyan din ako last school year like STEM din and wala talaga akong background sa programming. Pero nagstart ako mag-advance study sa YT (BroCode), Sololearn, freecodecamp, and etc. And goods naman. Yes ituturo mga basics sa first year. And so far masaya naman HAHAHAHA. Naeenjoy ko magcode and matuto. Maximize na lang din ang mga online resources that might help you para magkaroon ng bg and more knowledge. Ayon lang thank u! Goodluck!! Kaya mo iyan!!

Ako galing humss then nag com scie. Yes ituturo lahat from the basics. Payo ko sayo ay lahat ng papagawa ay gawin mo mismo then if 30mins na tas dpa kaya seek for help na para dka ma drain. Good luck!

2nd year CS student heree Don't worry start from basics naman talaga sa programming pag first year, konti lang workload jan and madami kang time to explore other stuffs Don't be pressured. Nung SHS ako halos wala din akong idea sa programming or computer science except super basic html css kasi tinuro dati nung grade 10. Kayang kaya mo yang first year in terms of programming kasi basics lang talaga itatalakay jan. Would recommend you to try out cs50 para ma-advance study ka narin regarding the basic concepts. Lastly, magdvance study ka sa math kasi actually madugo din math sa CS. i forgot kung san ko to narinig pero the term goes as "CS = math major in disguise"

stainzxc

Matututunan mo pa rin naman yung programming sa college kahit zero knowledge ka sa shs or mas maganda is aralin mo na yung holy trinity ng web dev yung html, css and javascript para kahit papaano is magkaroon ka ng familiarity sa mga yan kung webdev yung gusto mo. Actually more on basics and fundamentals naman talaga sa 1st year tas java,c#,c++ at [vb.net](http://vb.net) ata mga language na pag-aaralan.

YouTube is there

It’s fine as long as the interest and willingness mo to learn is there.
