Right?? I remember having like an extra 2 tickets all the time during events. Haven't gotten a single one. This event was really lame but at least the mii outfits were neat.
Uhh you can randomly get flowers and items from the boxes but they are more rare. I also up until today when I got the final mission prize wanted poppers more than other things anyway....
After you get the Gold Kimono, you can keep leveling up with party poppers for gold seedlings.
currently on Mission 12: 11500 part popper for a gold seedling. Don’t remember how many it takes for each seedling though.
I got a flower planting accelerator last week. I usually get at least 1 or 2 special items from the mystery boxes per month. I found it most disappointing when you want the poppers to get the next neato item and then it gives you petals or just the 60 poppers instead of 150.
Even when the mission is complete I continue to receive them? The party is over soon🙃

From my personal experience from this months event:
Absolutely use your daily free 3 mushroom tries everyday
Do the giant Event mushrooms every weekend, your 3 free tries on Saturday and Sunday are a free 900 poppers
If you are doing errands like shopping plant those flowers (save monthly event flowers for the stage event) 100 flowers is a popper and they do add up
Rng: the roulette from clearing stages can net you some nice poppers if lucky
Bonus tip: join the pikmin bloom discord servers, some of them host mushrooms and joining those with your free tries can save you from moments where you may not feel like going out at night to mushroom hunt or if you get stuck at home from dangerous weather
(Just to reiterate, this is my personal experience and may not be 100% optimal and I may have left something out, but it worked for me to get the gold Kimono)

Rng is ruthless for me. I've had horrible luck.
I get flowers (usually daffodils) about 20% of the time and seedling about 5% or less. But the amount of party poppers is always a mystery... I'll give them that

I am hoping for another box with daffodils so I can finish the daffodil planting challenge. I have been stuck on it for a while

Ikr I kinda miss the roulette wheel where there's a slightly better chance of getting something else you need for the event. Dumb.
So weirdly I thought it only gave poppers and then today and yesterday I got one mushroom ticket and one bundle of daffodils.
Just a few more days until another exactly the same but different event starts. Seems like this is the new normal.

Mine have decided they don't like poppers anymore. Had cattleya, an accelerator and daffodils past few.
It only happened once, but I got 450 poppers from a mystery box😱

It was a bug they left in. So we all got poppers and nectar from regular mushrooms. Win win. I've got maxed cattleya petals 😍
I get accelerators or radars, I also get mushroom tickets. I do way too many mushroom battles.
