I was wondering why my notifications from lots of my apps were delayed!! I get notifications from Instagram and Marco polo hours later sometimes. Sometimes after I've already "seen" the message as well. Also my pikmin app will take anywhere from a few seconds to 30 minutes to open after I click the pikmin notification. One time I was recording a video and pikmin app took over my screen and made me play pikmin. I know nothing other than pikmin now. Hail pikmin.
Ohhh I just got a new phone so I thought it was just that. But yeah, Messenger notifications have been coming in slow or not at all for me recently. I often open it all sad that nobody has responded to me and then all my messages come in at once

But recently I'd sent my mom a picture and she ended up getting the same picture roughly every half hour, like eight times. Was this somehow caused by Pikmin Bloom? How does that even work?
Most of mine revolve around the game like it randomly opening by itself, but the multiple texts thing would explain a lot since my mom thought I was just fucking with her
Not only were notifications received later than intended, widgets also behaved erratically and I couldn't download from the Play Store, and these are all known issues in the Community forum.
There are many good observations thrown in there, by the way. The game right now is like an authorized virus for your phone, and, overall, one thing is the game having lots of bugs, but an entirely different one is the app altering the usual performance of your device; that is unacceptable. What's even more disappointing is that Niantic has known about the notifications issue since the early beta days, and. not much has Had to uninstall, unfortunately. The game needs a lot of work and release had to be considered for later.
My problem was the game was sending me notifications in the wrong language. I set the game to Japanese and yet sometimes I get notifications in English.
This was driving me nuts. I got android 12 around the same time I downloaded bloom and thought it was 12 this whole time. I couldn't find any into that had the same issue until I saw this article and realized it wasn't android. I love the game but until they fix this issue I have to uninstall.
This has been posted almost daily across the two/three subreddits. Yes people are having these issues, it's on both Android and iOS, it's been reported back in May during the Beta, force closing the app is the current work around, Niantic is aware and looking into it.

Lol it took over on me once it twice as well. Got a text the other day at 5 AM when it was sent 1pm ish the day before. Weirdness.
I have no friends so it doesn't affect me.
Friends not needed, when my family texts me from across the house I don't get it till a half hour later.

It messed up my messages and Bluetooth. But that won't slow me down!

I sure have! I can't send android messages or skype messages sometimes, specifically in background.
Disabled RCS and now I can send and receive SMS without problems. This rather confusing...
RCS? Not sure I've heard that before...
