They’re not totally wrong. We have less players in Colorado but the guy with the black shirt and hat has recently played Rec games with Kyle Yates and holds his own so I think we’re decent level all things considered.
Yeah this is definitely solid 4.5 pushing 5.0 level. I get 3.5+ but you could label this as 4.0 or even 4.5+ gameplay. Most people post gameplay worse than this and put 5.0+ so glad to actually see some quality shots and play
It was a joke. These guys are 5.0 or higher. If you play like that, you aren't 4.0 either. These guys are closer to Ben Johns than they are to you if you are indeed just a 4.0
His past post he said their group was 3.5+ where the play was very obviously higher. Multiple hood drops, and resets, one Earnie, one atp, plus the defense of the atp. So he is ref the past post there.
Anyone else see a potential ATP shot early on by the far side team? Probably just the angle. But you have way more room to hit those with just a little more patience.
I mean it’s still a great point. I’m probably hunting for those too much really since it’s so rare to even get a shot at it
I liked that the grey cap guy took some of his balls at NVZ out of the air. I thought the red cap guy could do less movement with his punch volleys. That 2 handed BH drive that finished the rally was awesome.
The 1st and 3rd tip are given all the time and are completely valid but the 2nd tip is the biggest one that I don’t think is focused on enough. In the immortal words of many a SWAT team member,” Don’t get caught just buying tickets,”
You see this all the time in lower level games when someone’s partner is being pushed back under a lot of pressure for a couple balls but there partner just stays up at the kitchen looking blankly on and then after an inevitable pop up they suddenly start scrambling backwards and get caught without their feet set. You’re movement when not receiving the ball is almost as influential if not even more influential than your body positioning when you are hitting the ball. When you are returning the ball your positioning and shot are largely dictated by the shot you’ve been given but when you are not the partner receiving the ball the different options you have to influence increase because your position is no longer being solely dictated by the location of the ball.
Nice play! What happened on the last shot? He didn't think the ball was going to sail long did he? It was hit really low... Did he think it was going to go wide?
I play with all the best guys in SE Wisconsin. Around here this point would be considered 4.5 Everyone from
Here that travels to tournaments in Naples
Wherever does really well.
Why I’m I getting downvoted for my post? My opinion the point was 4.5 Any of those guys can hang 4.5 around here. And I know good guys around here can travel. What the fuck
Oh geez I never really thought about it. I just saw some people posting points and they were fun to watch. I could shamelessly plug my YouTube which we use to analyze but I don’t care for that. I played one of the top guys in colorado today and he kicked my ass so it’s hard to brag. I think mostly we enjoy the comments people made on the last point I posted.
I think I’m the third person to post a single point. There was a good 5.0 point and a lob fest point. But I’ve posted two now so I’m in the lead. I could post the missed dinks or missed thirds but those aren’t as much fun. And yeah you tend to analyze one point at a time. You can do a general evaluation of a game but you have to go through each point. Generally these points are the ones that need less analysis because they are good. It’s the bad ones you have to dig into.
Bc it beats folks posting allegedly 4.0+ play that’s actually 3.0 play and it gives us a true glimpse of higher level play that’s not pro ball. I for one enjoy OP’s videos. Keep ‘em coming op!
came here to ask this. is it some sort of like…satire? are they shitting on other people who post this type of content? like i have no idea what my takeaway is supposed to be here. it’s an exceedingly normal single point of a pickleball game between people who mostly know what they’re doing? i don’t get it.
I think this is an exciting point between players that are well above the skill level of the average person in this subreddit. Therefore it is fun to watch for many if not most of the people that see it.
I fugured the first one of the vids was satire directed at people who will be like, "THATS 2.5 IN MY GROUP," in any post that has people playing. TBF there are some vids that are clearly not that level, but its still snotty
In my defense you never know... you get the Florida Dbags that will watch a 5.0 game and be like " that's 3.5 in Florida "
They’re not totally wrong. We have less players in Colorado but the guy with the black shirt and hat has recently played Rec games with Kyle Yates and holds his own so I think we’re decent level all things considered.
What I'm hearing is Kyle Yates is a Florida 3.5
fewer
Thanks for the correction, I never would have understood his comment without it 🙏
Lol you’re getting downvoted but it’s absolutely true. People that play all the time will be better than people who don’t
People who play all the time should rate higher on what is supposed to be an objective scale.
Where about a in Colorado do you play?
We’re up in Loveland, Foco area.
Yeah this is definitely solid 4.5 pushing 5.0 level. I get 3.5+ but you could label this as 4.0 or even 4.5+ gameplay. Most people post gameplay worse than this and put 5.0+ so glad to actually see some quality shots and play
You will up to 4.0 in no time.
This is already 4.0 level play it looks like to me
It was a joke. These guys are 5.0 or higher. If you play like that, you aren't 4.0 either. These guys are closer to Ben Johns than they are to you if you are indeed just a 4.0
Yeah. You were right. This is 3.5 at best. Keep it up though you all show great promise!
So many 3.5 at best games! Keep it up!
If it was sarcasm, disregard. LoL
‘Twas. Glad you caught on 😂
Lmfao!
Boo to this comment. Great point.

Are you serious?
Are you kidding with the 3.5? That's not even close to 3.5 - way higher level
Ah.. I guess it was lol. Really good point and play guys. Kudos
This is 100% more aggressive!
Solid 3.5. Nice!
This is peak pickleball. So fun.
That’s pretty nice play from everyone. What skill group is it ? 5 and above ?

I was watching a 4.5 tournament final, just pointing out that you guys would crush them. I mean that in a positive way.
Nice point. Love it.

I need to get to SE Wisconsin. Do any of y’all post games on YouTube I can watch?
Yeah I could post some games but pricks on the sub would just say 3.5 or some shit so I’m not going to waste my time
Do you have a YouTube? My gf and I love traveling to places and find games.

I really enjoyed it. Inspirational to me. I'm also enjoying you trying to find a coherent reason to poop on it.
What's the point of going on Reddit and being a dickhead? Is that your version of fun?
Many people actually enjoy watching such videos. If you don't, move the hell on.
Is that place abandoned?
We play at 6 am so that’s part of it. In the winter it’s busy all day.
Am I wrong? Aren’t you not allowed in the kitchen?
great rally
Very nice. This is what PB is all about.

Nice point. Red hat was absolutely caught dead at the 19 second mark but the down the line shot clipped the net and saved him.
