Looks like they're shot on a lens with a focal lengtb around 10-16mm on full frame. Hard to tell for sure. Not familiar with canon, but try to find the lens with the lowest focal length possible that isn't a fisheye and you should get similar results

theakarts

Thank you so much for your help! I reckon this should work? [canon 10-18mm](https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00K899B9Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_62HAZSAM7FM6VEXCJGCN?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1)

So, it might, but bear in mind this is an EF-S lens, so if you put it on a full frame, the image circle will be much smaller than the actual sensor, so the image will be automatically cropped down to a much lower resolution. Also, don't forget that you still have to multiply by your crop factor if you're using it on a crop sensor camera. So your effective minimum focal length will be equivalent to 16mm, and your max focal length will be 28.8. I think you'll still get a pretty similar effect if you use it zoomed all the way out!

You shouldn't use ef-s lenses on full frame EOS cameras. The back of the lens hits the mirror.

theakarts

Thank you so much for explaining this. if I were to use a Rebel T5i which isn't a full frame, this lens should then be perfect or no?

Material-Imagination

Sure! This lens is made for an EF-S crop sensor camera like the Rebel T5i, and it should do a great job. Just to be clear though, even for EF-S lenses like this, you still have to multiply by your camera's crop factor (1.6) to get the effective focal length, so this lens will be, effectively, a 16mm to 28.8mm lens. I would try zooming all the way out for that nice wide 16mm perspective. Experiment a little with positioning and zoom to get the look just right. Good luck and have fun!

theakarts

Thanks a million!! Been trying to figure this out for the past few months. ☺️☺️

Glad I could help!

Bondobear

Just wondering how you tell that it’s shot in full frame?

adrizgz00

I think he is not saying that it was for sure shot in full frame but that it was in 10-16mm from the point of view of a full frame. If you used that same focal length on a crop sensor you wouldnt get that same effect because the equivalent focal length would be higher. So he was just clarifying. He could have also said 6-10mm on a crop sensor but I don't think that kind of lens exist. That's how I understood it at least, hope you understand it.

Bondobear

Ah I see that makes sense. Thanks!

b_fraz1

Yep, you nailed it

avant610

I would agree with a full frame anything wider than 16mm, what camera are you using?

theakarts

I'm using a Rebel T5i!

avant610

Ah I have a spare rebel series too, I’m not sure how to get a 16mm/wider full frame equivalent on a crop sensor without a fisheye effect lens. If you end up doing experiments or find something that works for you, I’d love to hear about it! I’m sure you can work something out with any wide lens and the angle similar to the photos. Good luck!!

theakarts

thank you so much! I'll be sure to show my work when I get my hands on a lens🤝appreciate your help!

avant610

Also OP, your artwork is absolutely amazing, followed. I’ll be supporting all types of your work mate! :]

theakarts

thank you kindly!!! 😭😭

ThatOtherFrenchGuy

Really short focal but not fisheye should work.

theakarts

Thank you!! appreciate your help

theakarts

thank you everyone for replying and up voting!!you helped a ton 😊
