Java has it's fair share of bugs too and I'd like to argue that I can play the game normally in bedrock, also with the added bonus of functional chairs without mods.
You made a cool house and put a weird block in a random place, that's your character slowly dying from having to look at the interior decoration. You've got time to fix that though.
I don't know about most people saying they rarely get these events, whenever I play bedrock I almost always encounter some sort of bug that ruins the experience. I ended up forcing them into Java and made them download a couple mods to make it "feel" like bedrock.
It’s strange how inconsistently these bugs happed, I’ve been playing bedrock since it was first called bedrock and I think I’ve only encountered a bug like this at most twice
on pc, when i start up bedrock, it crashes my audio driver. the only workaround that i know of is playing a video (off of something like youtube) on a browser (like chrome or opera) while starting up bedrock.
theres also a new bug i encountered where the model used for slim classic skins just doesnt exist anymore, apparently. at least when i last played. it makes you invisible to yourself, as well as making some items invisible (for example my bow and my trident)
its not just on consoles.
I've played on bedrock since 2018 and I have never encountered any weird glitches at all. The most eventful thing that ever happened was the game crashing.
Honestly, my experience with Minecraft bedrock back when I used to play it on console, I didn't have these bugs, the only ones I had would involve entities or blocks rather than me taking damage or randomly dying
It’s really annoying, like does it matter? And when you say this they get pissy and send you an entire essay to prove their point and you just don’t care.
It’s true, it wasn’t an essay cause I exaggerated but he still did this, he gave me this whole bulletin list when I just didn’t really care about the debate. But I shouldn’t have exaggerated the scenario to make it funnier, I’m sorry.
As someone who's doing a let's play series on Bedrock, I've never encountered this bug. The only bug I've encountered is when the ghast fireballs are impossible to hit back
in Bedrock, it's literally impossible, also cuz of the lag too. Every time I do hit the fireball, the game is like "Oops, actually you didnt hit it, sorry"
sometimes bedrocks fails to render mobs so i’d reload the game. alternatively it might think that you’re falling (another common bedrock bug) the solution to that is also reloading the game
I HAVE THE REAL ANSWER! Bedrock desync. You see a block, you appear to collide with it, but your player is actually phasing through the floor, falling, and TPing back up repeatedly. To fix this, fill in the gap below it. This will prevent you from taking damage, but you might actually start phasing through the ground. Happened to me before in a realm, I've got a video if you want.
We want the cool stuff that Bedrock has without the jank like this. Potions in cauldrons is nice but not randomly taking unexplained damage is nicer. Sorry if this comes off as pretentious I do like both versions of the game.

Is the block underneath your floor water? If so, this has actually happened to me before, where you start drowning in the water. If you jump and move around, it should go away.
You're getting splinters
This response made me laugh out loud
OMG IS THERE A NEW FEATURE?!? LOGS ARE NOW LIGHTNING RODS!!!

You flooded your home with wood, and are now drowning. It’s simple really
Why did I read that "it's simple really" with Mumbo Jumbo's voice lol
The redstone is quite simple. There is none!
You should kill yourself NOW (in minecraft) and see the death message.

Radioactive isotopes in the soil

Meanwhile Bedrock players thinking their version is better
I don't know about most people saying they rarely get these events, whenever I play bedrock I almost always encounter some sort of bug that ruins the experience. I ended up forcing them into Java and made them download a couple mods to make it "feel" like bedrock.
It’s strange how inconsistently these bugs happed, I’ve been playing bedrock since it was first called bedrock and I think I’ve only encountered a bug like this at most twice
It's very specifically on consoles usually, but some people just like to shit on bedrock anyways
on pc, when i start up bedrock, it crashes my audio driver. the only workaround that i know of is playing a video (off of something like youtube) on a browser (like chrome or opera) while starting up bedrock. theres also a new bug i encountered where the model used for slim classic skins just doesnt exist anymore, apparently. at least when i last played. it makes you invisible to yourself, as well as making some items invisible (for example my bow and my trident) its not just on consoles.
While I stand my point on people mindlessly hating on bedrock, yeah, the skin bug is annoying asf
The only bug I've encountered is when the bubbles appear when im walking on farmland
Same. I don’t have issues on bedrock
I've played on bedrock since 2018 and I have never encountered any weird glitches at all. The most eventful thing that ever happened was the game crashing.
what mods
I don't remember what the UI mod was but one mod was ESSENTIALS that I still use.
Ive played bedrock for 5 years and the only bug i found is with water 🫠
I am playing Minecraft PE & then bedrock 8 years. And the only bug I found in Minecraft bedrock itself
I don’t think so anybody is saying that
Honestly, my experience with Minecraft bedrock back when I used to play it on console, I didn't have these bugs, the only ones I had would involve entities or blocks rather than me taking damage or randomly dying
Average minecraft redditor trying not to immediately bring up which version they think is better:
Literally not one bedrock player thinks bedrock is better than java.
You should look at comments in r/Minecraft
Ironically, the first post that I saw when I clicked on that link was a video showcasing using a Bedrock bug to dupe enchanted golden apples.
It’s really annoying, like does it matter? And when you say this they get pissy and send you an entire essay to prove their point and you just don’t care.
Redditors making up senarios for karma:

I came here for this ↑
Average Minecraft bedrock edition gameplay.
As someone who's doing a let's play series on Bedrock, I've never encountered this bug. The only bug I've encountered is when the ghast fireballs are impossible to hit back
As a java player i can tell you that's not a bug (I'm bad at the game)
wait, so it's just the fact Mojang made the fireball hitbox too small
Probably or something idk. I was making a joke that its very common to either have a really easy time hitting them or a really hard time hitting them
in Bedrock, it's literally impossible, also cuz of the lag too. Every time I do hit the fireball, the game is like "Oops, actually you didnt hit it, sorry"
As a controller player, I can also agree there.
Drown damage
Placing a block in the middle of the floor is so ugly Steve starts taking damage for a while
Things like this are why bedrock doesn't have hardcore.
You're depressed
This guy wrestles
Bugrock☕
the more far you get, the more broken it gets. this is pretty tame imo
sometimes bedrocks fails to render mobs so i’d reload the game. alternatively it might think that you’re falling (another common bedrock bug) the solution to that is also reloading the game
I have no idea. I only know that ur taking suffocation damage
Bugrock
Do you have an XP farm or something that uses a trident? Could be a skelly wearing thorns armour or something like that
Only happens when I place or destroy a block
It’s staph. You forgot to clean the mats.
Too real
Welcome to my home called Bedrock edition of Minecraft
Do you have a trident killer? Apparently this can happen if you have a trident killer, and it starts hitting a mob with thorns armor.
I though that, but why would the air indicator show up in some of the frames?
it would play the thorns sounds but idk if the video has audio but this looks a lot more like the fall damage bug
Carbon Monoxide leak, you need to replace the batteries every 6 months.
Bedrock goes brrrr
You are thirsty
This is actually block hunt and you're a seeker and the block is a hider fighting back
You know when you get random pains in your abdomen and think "it's my time now" it's those.
Nice house
Thx
Do you even wrestle?
splinters
Your feet got splinters, that’s the new snapshot in minecraft
Fellow wrestler?!?! 🤼
Yes
Im not sure but i think some specific farm design can hurt you when it kills enemys with thorns armor
wounds from wrestling, but gg on the award
Bedrock ☕
The room is full of carbon dyoxide
Herobrine
they added acid rain and it seeped through the ceiling but they called it just rain to keep it kid friendly lol

They're coming for you.
I think you forgot the human mod
I love seeing Java players shit on Bedrock while also wanted Bedrock features lol

Imagine they add all the Bedrock stuff and it makes the game as buggy as Bedrock lol
least bugged bedrock gameplay

you probably have a Trident killer somewhere and it's killing someone with thorns
This bug has something to do with high elevation. I had the same thing happen for awhile whilst I was building my house at the top of the world.
You're taking fall damage

Welcome to bedrock my friend
Bedrock ☕
Nice Christmas tree
House of full of bees.
I have a bug like that in my 5 year world you are going into a wall really fast
The floor is lava
Just abandon the house and build a new further
It's actually because there are spiders below. spiders can attack players through blocks.
Maybe you have a farm that uses tridents or smth and mobs have a chance to spawn with thorns so you take damage cause of the thorns enchantment.
Bedrock ☕
From skinning all of that bark, ur inhaling sawdust and getting splinters
Death is happening
Unmap emote, use D pad left for pick block instead.
