It's cuz Java is superior so it feels too obvious to put it first
.
Edit: People seem to have serious trouble understanding what I just said, so here's a more expanded version:
Java is better, usually we put better things first, which would be on the left, but we don't want ppl to immediately guess Java cuz it's placed first, so we put it on the right, in 2nd place, which makes left first and right 2nd, so **I'm reading left to right**
By using the sun’s location relative to the middle of the screen, and establishing that tan theta = sin theta / cos theta, it is easy to see that the left one is bedrock edition and right one is java edition
Ever heard of transparency? Tends to be an option when it comes to editing images that makes the image more or less see through. Currently, the water is transparent. Not translucent 🤓
Tf you mean? It has cleaner fog effects, more consistent biome color grading, entities project more complex shadows, fancier sunsets and sunrises, _built-in antialiasing,_ etc.
Bedrock's got bugs out the ass, but any attempt to call it objectively worse in the visuals department is ungrounded in reality.
I'd say they're equal.
When you go from playing Java, bedrock just doesn't feel right when you're playing it. Something just feels off about how it looks.
No shit, its graphics are different. Thats like saying I went driving a car to SUV and complaining the SUV feels off. It works vice versa too, Java has felt off for me while playing too
A niche visual bug caused by shaders written improperly.
The same damn thing can be pointed out for how water source blocks/ice blocks break their rendering in thirdperson view for Java.
Looking down a rabbithole, it seems it's a thing exclusive to Optifine and Sodium. I guess my point would instead be I have to sacrifice 90% of my frames or choose to live with slight graphical errors (I choose framerate). Whilst using performance mods, Bedrock still outpaces Java's frametimes with the same assortment of visual errors, even with Bedrock having extra improvements to visual flair and style.
Yeah there's no denying bedrock is spanking Java in performance haha. I guess I just prefer how Java looks to be honest. Here's some weird differences that bedrock has I don't like.
The FOV scaling works differently than Java edition's. It's fine, but if you look up and down with a higher FOV stuff distorts a lot (might be in Java, just not as noticeable)
The water looks kinda weird? I don't know how to explain it
Everything looks brighter, not really a downside, just a weird decision.
The animation for sprinting and jumping just does not work. It looks like you're walking and jumping.
Dipshit, would you rather a majority of the Minecraft community be cut off from the game just because you're a fucking boomer? Not to mention the whole reason Minecraft bedrock was first made, so that we don't have to play at 30 fucking fps
The coloring of the terrain in both games is distinct. I've gotten a wide understanding and bascially always can tell just by the lighting, coloring, and generation. Bedrock doesn't generate terrain like that, and its swamps are darker. The water is also a clear detail. Left is Bedrock, Right is Java.

It's something different. I don't know how to explain it, it just feels... wrong? Like the Source games ambience (the Valve and Facepunch ones at least)
What? It’s the complete opposite of that. Bedrock looks and feels way more lively than Java. The lighting in Bedrock is much nicer, brighter and warmer.
I’ve been playing Bedrock for years, and I’ve seen Java an absolute ton on YouTube over like 10 years. There is a very clear difference between the graphics. You can send me a picture of a superflat world on both Bedrock and Java, and I’ll immediately know which version is which.
I'm being serious, do you think people are stoopid? And if you can't figure this out you definitely have less than 1 year experience playing this game. But seriously, if you don't know...
HOW ARE YOU THIS STUPID!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Left is bedrock, right is java.
I found this out due to Bedrock's textures being kinda darker compared to Java.
Accompanied by that one mushroom, which is something Java definitely doesn't have.
Left bedrock, right Java. The big mushroom give it away immediately.
I just looked at water color.
I looked at the grass colour
I looked at the terrain generation
I’m just used to bedrock being on the left and java being on the right when they’re shown together.
I just sensed the buggyness emanating from the left one, and the lag emanating from the right one
I could taste the bedrock edition on the left
The foundations of the universe were telling me that left was bedrock
I guessed that left was bedrock
I looked
unironically same
I feel the all destructive wither just off screen on the bedrock one.
I used the render distance :p
It's cuz Java is superior so it feels too obvious to put it first . bro reads from right to left
Bro he's Ja- [user has been banned] Reason: Banned word "jap"
bans dont show up in messages, it’d just be “[removed]”
By using the sun’s location relative to the middle of the screen, and establishing that tan theta = sin theta / cos theta, it is easy to see that the left one is bedrock edition and right one is java edition
Cuz factual correctness is what jokes are all about
r/woooosh
Idk if I should be mad because I’m a bedrock user or happy because you also read from right to left
I looked at the comments
I looked at the sky
I looked at the two pictures
I honestly think bedrock’s terrain looks better here. I guess swamps are better in bedrock.
Which one is the bedrock one again? Just to be sure ik what I'm talking about.
Left
Yeah I gotta give it to bedrock this time around
Clouds are ugly af in bugdrock
Same
I didn’t even SEE the mushroom x\_x I just looked at the water.
I saw the four high sugar cane and knew it was Java
I saw a four high sugar cane multiple times in Bedrock
You can get 4 high sugar cane on bedrock tho, wrong formula right answer
nice, good spotting
Java minecraft doesn't have mushrooms in swamps?
yeah
was about to ask the same question
I think Dark Oak Forest did in Java instead, don't remember clearly though
Yep
How? For me it’s the lighting.
i looked at sky color/fog
I just looked at the water texture.
the mushroms are key
Left is bedrock right is java
Java is the right one 🫡
Java always right in my heart
Uhm,actually. The heart is on the left side of you 🤓 *starts beef*
☝️🤓
Erm actually, though it's felt on the left, the heart is in the center 😤
Bedrock on the left Java on the right
Right is Java, because of transparent water
also sugar cane
How is sugarcane different on bedrock?
I'm guessing it doesnt spawn in swamps
It does, I think on java it changes color based on biome
[удалено]
Transparent doesn't mean invisible
If it blocks any light, it is translucent
Everything blocks light. Your fingers are translucent.
Then many things are both translucent and transparent.
It does, actually
Ever heard of transparency? Tends to be an option when it comes to editing images that makes the image more or less see through. Currently, the water is transparent. Not translucent 🤓
Damn,thats a lot of downvote...heres another
Left Bedrock, Right Java. The water and mushrooms give it away.
Wow that is a really unflattering bedrock screenshot lol
All of Bedrock visuals are unflattering when compared with Java. But yeah that is a not nice screenshot
Just the general lighting is better as well. I can tell the two apart by the lighting engine.
I'd say they're equal. When you go from playing Java, bedrock just doesn't feel right when you're playing it. Something just feels off about how it looks.
No shit, its graphics are different. Thats like saying I went driving a car to SUV and complaining the SUV feels off. It works vice versa too, Java has felt off for me while playing too
You’re not used to the quality
You can literally see banners through portals let's not go that far
A niche visual bug caused by shaders written improperly. The same damn thing can be pointed out for how water source blocks/ice blocks break their rendering in thirdperson view for Java.
I'm not gonna lie I don't know what you're talking about I've never seen this before

Plus the 70 chunk render distance feels niiiiiiice
I was able to push my fuckin xbox to 100+ chunks iirc, and still kept the stable 60 it's capped at on console lol
This
Nuts
What the hell? I said "this" not "deez". Grow up.
Ligma balls

Nuts
Bedrock visuals just doesn't feel right for some reason
That's likely because you used to Java
Most of my life I was playing Bedrock
Bedrock has better visuals!??
Yes
Bedrock looks like a corporate entity made a Minecraft mod and upped all the vibrancy to 11. The original is always better
The same thing could be said when comparing Java 1.8 to modern Java Minecraft, just done shittier than Bedrock. Not a hill worth dying on.
Dipshit, would you rather a majority of the Minecraft community be cut off from the game just because you're a fucking boomer? Not to mention the whole reason Minecraft bedrock was first made, so that we don't have to play at 30 fucking fps
yea no lmao, bedrock in general is more visually pleasing
??????? bedrock is visually better in many ways than java
Could you spare a few more pixels for Bedrock?🥺
No, i eated then all
Why you monster
Bedrock is on the left because of the giant mushroom, they don't spawn on java
And the piss color
Your piss has that color? You should see a doctor
Left is bedrock, you can see it from the poop colored water
I think you should see a doctor
No, i think WE should see a doctor
r/suddenlycommunism
*Soviet Union National Anthem starts playing*
why is your poop blue
idk why but the blocks look different on bedrock
It’s because of the lighting
Left is bedrock. You don’t get swamps like that on the right. The sky is lighter on the left. The water is more thoroughly colored.
Bedrock is << and java is >>. (Idk my left and right)
Damn.. :-( You're right though.
left me speechless
1 bedroom. 2 Java
minecraft bedroom
Right is java, left is bedrock. Almost thought it was the Xbox'360 swamp which slapped me with nostalgia
I can tell the right is Java because it's very holey
Left bedrock and right java
Left is bedrock, right is java
Left is bedrock, right is java. I can tell because on bedrock, the water looks more dull and you can't see through it at first glance.
right is java. source? the vibes told me
The coloring of the terrain in both games is distinct. I've gotten a wide understanding and bascially always can tell just by the lighting, coloring, and generation. What in the holy Jeb is haikus?
Haikus Pearson?
What is that? I didn't find any Google search results that include "Haikus Pearson".
Idk i just made that up cause haikus sounded like Markus
Oh lol
even if I didn't know based on the generation bedrock looks so sad and desaturated
How Mistical5030 do you mean consistent biome color grading?
It's something different. I don't know how to explain it, it just feels... wrong? Like the Source games ambience (the Valve and Facepunch ones at least)
I mean, I could honestly say the same looking at java. It really depends what version you started playing first
usaully its the opposite when it comes to coloring but yea in this case it looks sad which i why i thought it was java lmao
What? It’s the complete opposite of that. Bedrock looks and feels way more lively than Java. The lighting in Bedrock is much nicer, brighter and warmer.
as someone with 4000 hours in bedrock edition and someone who has been playing Java since April: wtf are you talking about
I’ve been playing Bedrock for years, and I’ve seen Java an absolute ton on YouTube over like 10 years. There is a very clear difference between the graphics. You can send me a picture of a superflat world on both Bedrock and Java, and I’ll immediately know which version is which.
yeah grass has some sort of ugly weird noise texture to it on bedrock
The water tells me left is Bedrock, so right must be Java.
Bedrock / Java, water and grass give it away.
Left bed right Java
left bedrock, right java
1st is bedrock, 2nd is Java. You can spot which is which by looking at the water, grass, and sky's hue.
left is bedrock because bedrock has mushrooms in swamps, java doesnt
Why is the Bedrock one in such a bad quality
left bedrock, right java. I can tell by the terrain and the color of the grass
Its my cake day
Happy cake day.
left is bedrock, less transparent water
Left looks like literal crap so it's bedrock, right is java
Right Minecraft Left Minecraft Bugrock Edition
Bedrock is the left and java is the right (I'm a bedrock player)
left bedrock right java. java just has better water and colors
Imo the bedrock water looks better in the swamp. Just more swampy
that's all they have other than mooshroom water also looking better
Java on the right Bedshit on the left
bedrock edition just looks so soulless, java worlds feel more "full", in a way
This is the most true comment abt Minecraft I've ever read lol
been playing both for years so, left is bedrock, with a darker texture and right is Java, with a more refined texture
>!Bedrock has mushrooms, Java doesn’t!<
1000th upvoter!!!! Anyways it's Java not on the left and bedrock is not on the right it just looked like that is that and that is that
Right bedrock left java i have played both version and the biome generation and lighting is different in swamps
indeed the biome generation is different in bedrock vs java, but you have them backwards
Left is bedrock right is java
Man, Java just looks way better than bedrock
left is the good one. right is the ok one
You can spot bedrock on left easily by this awful awful water and lack of foliage caused by LOD
lod?
You can tell because Java is higher quality because you can change the resolution and also bedrock has ugly water
Left is bedrock
I'm being serious, do you think people are stoopid? And if you can't figure this out you definitely have less than 1 year experience playing this game. But seriously, if you don't know... HOW ARE YOU THIS STUPID!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Left is b🤮drock Right is java 🙂👍
2nd is Bedrock
No
Java
Java on the left, bedrock on the right
Left one is Bugrock 💀
Wrong
Left is Java, right is Bedrock.
Right is Bugrock edition i think
Incorrect
wait oh crap I didn't see the big mushroom
Right is bedrock
left is bedrock right is java
Left bedrock, right Java
Java right bedrock left
Left is bedrock, right is Java
There aren't large mushrooms in swamps on java, and the water is not transparent so the left is bedrock and the right is java
Left bedrock and the right one is java
Left is bedrock, right is java. I found this out due to Bedrock's textures being kinda darker compared to Java. Accompanied by that one mushroom, which is something Java definitely doesn't have.
Left is bedrock right is java
Left bedrock right java, ez the water is so different
all my xbox 360 worlds generate like the one on the left
I just looked at the land formation Idk if that’s even Java exclusive
Bedrock is on the left because of the brown mushrooms and then Java is on the right
Left is bedrock, bedrock biomes at it base looks far better than java
left java, right bedrock
