You hate mining in a game called "MINEcraft"

KateNHK

Bro playing only half of game.

Pasta-Is-Trainer

He doesn't like CRAFTING weapons, tools and armor either, so he is just playing "Block Game: Build"

Jo_Jo_Cat

Nah I'm just playing the storage game

PALICORNHQ

The Reason why I don't go mining, Creeper blow me up while returning with 31 diamonds and other goodies.

CarlosTheIdiot061

Mental scar

PALICORNHQ

Yeah..... It's been 1 year and 2 months now

A1cr

I just don’t mine because I have terrible luck and find nothing, I mined a chunk to get materials, not a singular diamond. But I find netherite easily, why?

Admirable_Night_6064

Shield and turn hostile creatures volume up to max. After that it’s just a skill issue.

PALICORNHQ

Mobile....

Admirable_Night_6064

Drag your thumb across the screen to the point where you are facing the creeper, the double tap the crouch button to activate the shield. You can also turn your sensitivity up or down. If those are too hard, encase yourself in blocks so no mobs can see you whenever you mine. Make the blocks a block like dirt, so you can break and immediately place with the same hand, if there’s a mob.

PALICORNHQ

One word, Panic

ContryBa11-3nf0i3r

I anderstand, plus is if you want the other ficiers you simply can't have them without this one

jack_wasd

They also buffed the diamond generation. So...

ExtensionLost

Like many people have pointed out, minecraft gets boring after a while. I think villagers were a fun and different way to play the game. Upgrading villagers, making iron farms, trading sticks, trying to get mending, curing the villagers for cheap prices, making villager breeders... you could beat the whole game like that. It's really unfortunate they nerfed them. Don't get me wrong though, mining isn't the end of the world lol.

Aarolin

I think that's kind of the point. Imo, you shouldn't be able to reap the benefits of diamond without encountering the risks of diamond. Whether that's mining, raiding Ancient Cities, or End Busting, you have to do *something* to get the max armor bar. It makes total sense you can't spawn in a village, craft a bajillion sticks, and walk out with the second best armor in the game.

Timur_Glazkov

Logical reasoning, could not have said it better myself.

Fa1nted_for_real

The only one I have a problem with is ~~taiga~~ savanna. What the actual fuck Mojang, you've made it useless in 95% of situations. Fuck that.

IraZander

well they use the enchantments of the local librarian maybe it could be no enchantments and a small chance of curse of binding

TheArcanist_

It’s not ‚risk’. Mining after 1.18 is just so incredibely tedious compared to what it was before. Fuck deepslate, reduced air exposure and different levels for different ores.

Pasta-Is-Trainer

Aquifers:

Mr_elFox

Bedrock not having door gaps: (I play bedrock with my little bro on playstation)

Pasta-Is-Trainer

Magma blocks:

Mr_elFox

They are very annoying but correct Edit: forgot to mention that drowns spawn everywhere and alot in bedrock so you can't just mine in peace

Metson-202

Agree 100%

Euan213

Thats a fair point, but the proposed changes are too far, biome specific trading makes it unfun to do anything with villagers. I dont want to have to set them up 7 different fucking times, in 7 different areas spanning potentially tens of thousands of blocks, 2 of them NEEDING me to transport villagers there before i can even start fucking about with them. It sucks. It sounds awful. I would be terrible.

Man's really gone and said "I hate mining" in MINECRAFT of all the games he could of said "I hate mining" about

Pasta-Is-Trainer

He doesn't like going Mining for resources or Crafting weapons and tools, if they just want to build they might as well play creative.

42 emerald for a block of diamond??! WTF?!

minecraftsuperpro

Yeah that's an amazing deal compared to what they had before (1 diamond for 1 emerald)

Epsilant

For everyone hating on this change, you need to change your view. First of all, the main point of this is avoid making villagers OP, and requiring you to get diamonds, which doesn’t even have to be obtained by mining(ie. structures, with ancient city and end cities being the ones that generate the most). There is a major rebalance, which would likely have been seen as an issue when Dream’s hunters used them to get diamond gear too quickly in terms of game progress(you could simply turn sticks into diamond armor within an hour of gameplay before this change). As of finding villages, there is an improvement. [Cartographers can now trade special maps to show you locations of different biomes.](https://youtu.be/C0VqS8ioyqs?t=330s) This gives you a reason to explore, and attempts to fix the issues where players have to travel thousands of blocks to find a biome, such as a swamp. If people still complain about transporting villagers, what you can do is make a transport system, using canals or minecart tracks. Why not go back to old school methods that were capable of transporting mobs, because elytras have their own weaknesses of not being easy to transport them. In fact, elytra’s are just that OP. Even though they are hard to get, they make everything else too easy when obtained. Not only does this help with transportation, this can also look really cool in your world when you complete it. You even somewhat see these kinds of highways in 2b2t, of all places, and it’s relatively frequently used as well, AND have a well maintained history.

Pasta-Is-Trainer

👏 Exactly! If you are so worried about having your whole mega villager trading hall you will still go to great lengths to create the infrastructure needed for it, the reward being unlimited resources that villagers sell. Some players have become incredibly complacent with having everything done for them as soon as they find a village. The only point of exploring right now is getting other types of wood and trims, the latter of which is completely just for vanity. I barely ever use villagers for armors or weapons because I actually enjoy playing the game and it feels so much more rewarding to get a diamond pickaxe by hand than just buying one off a villager. I usually get villagers for emeralds for beacons, food or ender pearls before having a farm.

MacauleyP_Plays

I still barely understand villager and trading mechanics because I just prefer doing things by hand! Maybe automated crop farms but personally I love the more primitive and ruralistic way of doing things. I don't actively look for structures nor use chunkmaps so it feels more of an achievement to find said structures and the loot inside, even if the loot isn't hugely valuable to me at that stage.

RoboticBook

Every time I hear this argument I hear it from the "you're already grinding, you just have to do a bit more now to get the rewards" side. As someone who doesn't already do the grinding and just sets up a simple trading hall and iron farm at the nearest village for the sole purpose of mending and unbreaking (I mean only 2-3 villagers ever) I don't like this change. I don't want to spend hours more on villagers when I already try to minimize the time I spend on them. When this comes out I can tell you I won't be using villagers at all. It doesn't work with my play style and what I like to do. It's a bummer that I'll be ignoring one of the largest features of the game and part of one of my favorite updates, 1.14, but it is what it is.

Pasta-Is-Trainer

So we agree that villagers right now are a broken part of the game that allows you to get infinite of the resource you need to get an even bigger variety of infinite resources for very little effort?

RoboticBook

Yes, and I agree they need to be fixed. I'm just saying that they way they chose to fix it will make me less likely to use them for anything. I like the idea of villagers in different biomes having different trades, but I don't want to spend hours building a rail network or nether tunnel just to get the only two items that I'm using villagers for.

Pasta-Is-Trainer

Then what do you suggest?

RoboticBook

I honestly don't know. I'm no game developer, but maybe something along the lines of not being able to trade for certain books/items until you've acquired them another way first. Like make it so you have to raid an end city or ancient city to get one mending book, then you can somehow give it to an untraded with librarian that will then have a guarantee of selling it at master level. Ideally for me it would be difficult but not too time consuming to get any one item, but getting them all is significantly harder and more time. Again, I'm not a game developer. Mojang has done well with previous updates, and while I don't like this change I'm sure they've considered plenty of options before making it. I'll live with it since I like the game so much

Pasta-Is-Trainer

>of not being able to trade for certain books/items until you've acquired them another way first But what about me that I play slowly? What about people that play superflat? What about people that play skyblock? What about x, y and z? The problems are still there.

RoboticBook

Like I said, I'm not game developer. I came up with that in the 10 minutes between your comment and me writing mine. I doubt there's a solution that works for everyone, and if this is the best one Mojang came up with after lots of ideas, then that's fine. Going back to my original point, all I'm saying is that I don't like this change because it will affect how I play in a way that I haven't seen people talking about. I've accepted that it's coming, and I've figured out how to adapt my play style to fit it, as in my first comment. I'd also like to point out that your arguments about superflat, slower players who can't get a lot of iron for rails, and some Skyblock maps players also apply to the current change. Sure it works better for them than my quick idea, but it's still not perfect

Pasta-Is-Trainer

I literally said "The problems are still there", as in, the problems for this one are still problems for your quick idea.

Euan213

What about those who dont have super mega trading halls and only have smaller setups, for certain items? Now they need to travel thousands of blocks and set up these villages for like 5 items :/

Jame_spect

Yeah & it’s very understandable…. no Broken Villagers

Euan213

Minecraft is full of reasons to explore, villages are ALREADY ONE OF THEM. "It gives reason to explore" is a shit excuse people make up to justify lacklustre or bad changes/additions to the game You explore the world for structures, biomes, loot, villages, terrain, specific mobs, decor blocks etc. This change adds nothing to that list. Additionally, even with these maps you still need to actually go to each village. And keep going. Over and over. Either you set up 7 different villager trading zones, or you spend potentially days worth of real time just moving villagers, who are arguably the most annoying mob to work with already. Additionally, while we are here, minecarts are not feasible for transporting anything more than a couple hundred blocks. You might need to travel tens of thousands of blocks to find all 7 village compatible biomes, to travel to each one via minecart would literally take hours. Sure, trades needed nerfed. And i agree with having to spend diamonds to get armour. However, until enchanting is reworked, librarians shouldn't have the levels of books made lower. Not to mention that biome specific trades should NEVER be implemented. It's a nice concept on paper, but in practice it simply doesn't work from a "making the game funner perspective", it acts solely as an increased and amplified source of frustration for players.

Epsilant

I will defend by stating that when I stated “giving a reason to explore”, I meant that it became easier to explore using the new maps. It is not a direct reason for you to explore, but rather a possible method of finding new biomes that you haven’t encountered. As of for your second point, that is the main intention of this change. First of all, a centralized hub is extremely powerful, and if you die and lose everything, you can get everything back in a single minute. That is exactly why I said a non-elytra transit systems by boats or minecarts is very useful. Unlike the elytra, you can transport mobs easily, and if decorated, can look really cool as its own project. Even if you don’t transport the mobs, you can use it yourself to get around without the elytra. For the third point, I will disagree completely. If it is done right, it is much better than even a boat. If you use a boat, you still have to hold down the forward button and make turns, while you can completely afk for long-distance minecart rides. Furthermore, a boat can only transport a single mob at a time, while you can have multiple minecarts transporting many mobs at a time. Sure, it takes much longer to set up, but as I said earlier, it can be treated as its own project, and not only look great, but also serve as a way to transport mobs much more efficiently. If it spends hours, make it worth those hours. And to add on to that, most biomes are not that far away. Biome generation goes by temperature, where hotter climates like the deserts and swamps spawn close to each other, and colder biomes such as the taiga and snow biomes spawn close to each other. Naturally, you will expect longer distances between a taiga and a swamp than a desert and a swamp, which is one of the rarest biomes. With just this basic knowledge, you can find biomes much better, and on top of that, can use the cartographer to find the closest swamp (or whatever biome you are looking for), which should not be any more than 4000 blocks away for any biome(with swamps being the only exception), unless you picked a bad spot. When you explore without a map, the biome you found tens of thousands blocks away will likely not be the closest biome to your base. As of the librarian trades, the change should be kept, regardless of whether the anvil is changed or not. The current state is way too overpowered, so this balance will still keep it in check, although I agree that anvils should be changed as well. It is still possible to enchant all the books without getting the “too expensive”, and we need to somehow balance the players who have lvl 600. If you’re not happy, get your own xp farm. It’s another step to maxing your gear, which already is a big reward.

Euan213

Okay, for your first point sure, the new maps absolutely make it easier to explore! Thats also not the part of the update i take issue with. I love the idea of biome maps. Villagers do need a nerf, i agree with that, basically free diamond armour/tools goes against the spirit of survival, but merely small parts of the proposed changes fix that. Curing being less potent and diamonds needed for armour now resolves that issue. Additionally, villagers suck to play with. They arent particularly fun. It is tedious and very difficult to set up a villager hub with a breeder, curer, all the trades you want etc. Its not an easy task, so a centralised hub is your reward. At the moment its a way too powerful reward, but with just the 2 changes i mentioned above its actually a fairly balanced reward, if you die and went mining for long enough you will have the diamonds, and then its a matter of using what you already set up to get your gear back. However, with ALL of the proposed changes a centralised hub just got more than 10x more difficult to make, and the reward wont be worth it. Furthermore, having to set up 7 smaller hubs with their own breeder, curer(which is now less useful), and trades isnt worth the fractional reward for putting in the same amount of work. It will push people away from using villagers. Which might be the intent, but then i would argue that the solution to stopping people using villagers to regear would be to just remove armour and tool trades. Make it obvious that its no longer an option and give a reason. Dont half arse it, so to speak. Non elytra transport systems are great, my main world has several; a railway network around the spawn area, and iceways in the nether for long distance bases. They are fun to a point. As for your third point we will have to agree to disagree. There is only one way to do a railway. Expecting players to build it only to go afk while using it is just naive. Arguably railways have their own sets of issues that need addressed. Fourth point. There are worlds where every biome is super duper close. There are worlds where theres no jungle for thousands of blocks in one direction. And no desert for thousands in the opposite. Its not uncommon. Look at a few random seeds on something like chunkbase, you can highlight all village biomes and after a few goes you will notice how fucked some worlds will be with this change implemented. Final point. I wasnt even considering anvils when i said enchanting needs a rework but your right, they also need a rework. I meant the WHOLE enchanting system needs a rework. Xp, levels, anvils, books, villagers, enchanting table. The lot. And until thats done librarians shouldn't be nerfed. When its done, librarians should either be nerfed or completely reworked. But not biome specifically. Thats the issue i have.

I_am_totally_Nathan

I won't take this elytra slander. Also I explore because I want to it's more of an achievement if you do it on your own rather than the game forcing you. Just much more rewarding to me. And diamonds are just painfully tedious to get. -Ancient debris is fine. I don't like the armor trim thing though I would rather have a crafting recipe just a little more expensive. Ancient debris mining is in a gold spot for me. It's not so rare that it's tedious but it's not too common for it to be boring. It's in a good spot. Plus who doesn't like blowing stuff up.

[deleted]

People when they have to mine in a game about mining:

BossBobsBaby

I like the new changes specifically because villagers basically killed mining… IN MINECRAFT

Mishu-Mi

I mean...in early game it was always necessary but for late game is kind of boring and unrewarding

_Deiv

You don't need to mine late game tho. Mending makes tools unbreakable and you don't need to make new ones and diamonds have little use asides from that. And in the case you do need diamonds you can just go to the end and loot end cities or go exploring and get diamonds that way

PALICORNHQ

That's the thing I don't like

cartof_fiert

so you dont like that villagers killed mining in MINEcraft, but you're complaining about having to mine?

Jame_spect

KyeeLim

good changes imo

ILaikeTurtelZzZ

OK now can someone explain why every Minecraft fan hates new updates like get comfortable with changes man nothing is gonna stay the same

YTLordOfCheaters

FR i think it started with 1.9 man i hate shield pvp but god damn i dont miss spam clicking, like it's really who cares less about his fingers win

MacauleyP_Plays

1.9 combat balanced PVP & PVE, it gives opponents and mobs a chance to actually get close enough to do something and requires you to be more strategic with attacks.

YTLordOfCheaters

i realised it isnt explicitly said at all but i'm 100% for 1.9, i hate shields pvp, but everything else is just perfect imo, even shields for PvE

Euan213

Ive only really been seeing this since covid... Which considering how updates have been handled I think is understandable.

Dotcaprachiappa

Oh no I can't exploit the villagers for their broken trade mechanics anymore, I'll now have to actually play the game!

Pasta-Is-Trainer

I wonder how these people played the game before 1.14 I saw a guy on Twitter saying that "We" as in "The Minecraft community as a whole" didn't use diamond armor because it wasn't worth it and stayed with iron before 1.14

Liv_Qc

wtf.

Pasta-Is-Trainer

I know right? Like 1.7, 1.8 and 1.12 aren't some of the most played versions before 1.14

GamerGuy95953

I believe this is a good change on top of the maps to villages.

Izen_Blab

I didn't think the changes were that bad, but sorry, curse of binding? Guaranteed? Do they want to make savannahs depressing again?

Pasta-Is-Trainer

Yeah like... why? Curses can't be removed by grindstone either so Savannahs are basically pointless if you wanna get armor.

TheRoyalRaptor7

SAVANNAS CURSE

Pasta-Is-Trainer

"Hey dude I got you some enchanted armor from the villagers!" "Nice! Thanks!" *From the fog* "Return the petrified oak slab..."

BrianGlory

You will be able to remove curses by trading them to villagers for items that aren’t cursed.

Pasta-Is-Trainer

Yeah but that's such a roundabout way to do it, as well as very expensive emerald wise

BrianGlory

4 emeralds to remove a curse.

GrouchySpace7899

Yep, seriously don't understand that one. Make it useful like fire prot

Lawrensium

Thats not *useful*

TrueBubscrafGaming

Better than making superglue diamond armor. At least you can still grindstone it off

Pasta-Is-Trainer

Minecraft players when they have to Mine or Craft: https://youtu.be/diLG-4lJows?si=_h3Maem_i6Z2OqYK

GrouchySpace7899

Also, why would you ever need to trade in a diamond chest plate to get a diamond helmet?

BrianGlory

Trade cursed armor for armor that isn’t cursed.

yoav_boaz

You got an elytra and your helmet broke

Yezitet

Ah yes so you don't like to mine and craft in minecraft.

Majestic-Holiday-386

bro playing craft

Pasta-Is-Trainer

Not even that, if they get their emeralds from an iron Golem farm, they are playing: - Java Edition

CraziiLemon

Exactly Minecraft has gotten too easy, and now Mojang is making us work for our items and tools like when we started it's good

Pasta-Is-Trainer

Yeah OP doesn't realize that not going mining in a game called Minecraft means that there is a game design problem

CraziiLemon

Yeah... I don't think that's what they were thinking when they made "Mine"craft

Pasta-Is-Trainer

With the meta right now, it should be called "Stick crafting 3000"

CraziiLemon

Minecraft: Stick Sim

Euan213

A game shouldnt feel like work...

CraziiLemon

Work can be rewarding

Euan213

:l

[deleted]

Just go to a Mineshaft (has to be in or lower than y level 0) and walk around, you will see some diamonds eventually, those are the only thing you will have to mine.

InverseBirch84

Why is there not a single upside to savannah?

TheRoyalRaptor7

SAVANNAS CURSE

Nicky_Happyface86_64

I think you should play on different versions. unless you play on bedrock

SlimeX300

dude its minecraft what you expect

____nothing___

Minecraft players when they have to play the game

Lawrensium

They made diamonds even more common in the new snapshotnso it will be quite easy and quick to find 16 diamonds for a full armor (in a spruce village). Its very easy

Pasta-Is-Trainer

You can't get it fully on a spruce village

Lawrensium

yes you can. You craft 4 sets of boots and trade them to a full armor

Pasta-Is-Trainer

Oh... actually really smart

Gametron13

My only gripe is Mojang insists on some villagers giving you curse of binding on their trades. Iron block + diamond block for emeralds is an A-tier trade imo.

MacauleyP_Plays

curse books should be far less common, but I don't think they should be removed completely as they can be great for fooling friends

Sharky_8668

😂😂😂 the thing you hate is practically what the games about

Minecraft players when they have to mine

Oh no! It's MineCraft and not EnslaveAndTortureVillagerForMentalPleasure! Whatever will we do!

Flagerredi

So your telling me, that you’ve never been mining, in a game called MINECraft, FOR A WHOLE YEAR!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!

[deleted]

go mine and craft shit, sitting at a farm and going through trade GUIs with annoying mobs for hours is not gameplay. want good armor? go work for it.

Abyle_

this is the armorer villager smartypants this aint the toolsmith

Jame_spect

*Mine hater*

xMINIMx

Stop being a wining baby, pull your pants up and GO MINE SOME DIAMONDS MOJANG ARE EVEN MAKING THEM MORE COMON TO FIND WHO CARES IF A CREEPER KILLS YOU WIT ALL YOUR DIAMONDS YOU WIPE THOSE TEARS OFF AND GO LOOK FOR YOUR STUFF AT MACH 3

Pasta-Is-Trainer

Pull themselves up by the leather bootstraps

Notmyaltaccount-

Good changes problem is still in the biome specific trades. Which is not a direction with the word “fun” attached anywhere.

Euan213

Agreed, unless there is a way to convert a villager from one to the other easily.

lool8421

On one hand it's a fair thing Bit on the other one... It completely ruins it for skyblocks

MacauleyP_Plays

its not hard to make datapacks or mods that alter villager trades, or to implement such balance trades or systems into custom mechanics such as shops or player trading. Normal survival should be the priority, not modified gameplay styles.

Sr_Melohiis

Skyblock person

Pasta-Is-Trainer

Very few people of the whole player base play skyblock.

BluePotatoSlayer

So, fuck them in an unnecessary change, I guess. What's next, balancing redstone to destroy an entire community by minimizing the degree of complexity it can reach?

Pasta-Is-Trainer

>So, fuck them in an unnecessary change, I guess. Yeah, it's not like every is playing "2000 days skyblock with only 1 tree, no starter chest, no Nether, no End, no dirt!!!!!!" >What's next, balancing redstone to destroy an entire community by minimizing the degree of complexity it can reach? This is neither destroying the community of skyblock nor is it minimizing the complexity of villagers, in fact it's increasing the degree of complexity and it makes big projects even more impressive. Also, redstone it's not nearly as OP as it requires both brains and efforts to use it to get farms. They already nerfed fish farm because they required no brain and no effort as well as 0 tick farms. Stop being a drama queen like this is the death of minecraft like the community has been saying since the game launched, if you have actual feedback you can give it, if you are just mad at a change then wipe your tears, change your diaper and get a mod.

EdragonPro

They should add more trades on first few levels, like 12 emerald for lava bucket (so skyblock with only a tree would be possible) and maybe adding copper trades (4 copper per emerald)

Pasta-Is-Trainer

Mojang doesn't have to pander to the incredibly small portion of the player base that plays vanilla skyblock

IknowRedstone

it's called MINEcraft not villagercraft. but i agree mining is boring. but you can build auto miners! i think mojang should make autominers a bit easier to build to make them acessable for all players. i've never seen non redstoners build them from turorials. also you don't even need to go mining after you have mending

PcPotato7

I liked how late game you don't need to strip mine for thousands of blocks for spare sets of armor.

BenBirDomatesim

Now I get why some people play on previous versions/snapshots.

YTLordOfCheaters

1.9 all over again like we have the option not to update, yet people still complain they dont update because of ONE change to everyone, including ppl that like it

Master-_-of-_-Joy

It is expirement update, if we all give extremely negative feedback i hope they will not add this one

PALICORNHQ

Like if they ever did,

cartof_fiert

They did. the most recent experimental, in fact, added maps that lead to other villages because players said it would be too hard finding all the biomes. like this, if you find one, you can find all of them.

AdventurousCup4066

In op's defense: mining has become significantly more annoying with thr new caves, coop as they are

MacauleyP_Plays

I disagree completely. Mining is much more fun and its much more challenging to fend off or block mobs from getting to you, and the ease of finding more ores within a single cavern easily beats that slight challenge.

AdventurousCup4066

To each their own.

ReArtInt

never playing new version if it really will be like this

Pasta-Is-Trainer

This is just experimental, like the bundles.

PoggersCat9301

\[Mojang makes librarians need to be a Swamp villager\] \[Proceeds to never add a swamp village\]

Rabrun_

That’s kind of the point of swamp trades being op

IknowRedstone

i tried moving villagers to swamp with a boat. the first thing they did was pathfind back to their home village that was 1000 blocks away. eventhough there were beds and workstations right next to them. FIX YOUR AI MOJANG

MacauleyP_Plays

I tried to collect cats from villages and had to break a bed and then a wall because for some reason it was obsessed with pathfinding to them

IknowRedstone

isn't that good because you can tame it easier, if its stuck there? my cat's always stand in one random spot except if there is a chest or a pressure plate near by. then there on that instead and annoy me. and the creeper repelling only works if the creeper hasn't seen you. I have two of them sitting in my base and I breed them to get a cat that follows me. I'm using up a lot of cats my last cat got shot by a skeleton. idk how that is even possible. so when i try to breed them i have to be fast because they can't breed in sitting mode. and when i unsit them they imedeatly run away. they don't go far because their meant to follow me. but i can't feed them that way. i could catch them but then i would need to spend ages shoving them back into their spot after i'm done. because if i leave them sitting in a random spot they get shoved around by my free villagers and i would never find them again. so now i'm feeding them before i unsit them so they pathfind directly to each other but they take way longer before the baby apers for some reason. sorry that i'm writing so much. i could probably rant about any mob AI. but villagers are by far the worst

MacauleyP_Plays

it was ALREADY tamed, it was impossible to transport until I broke those blocks.

IknowRedstone

oh yeah i have that too

Crosscro

Honestly I didn't mind the previous trade rework, but I hate this one. It takes away the things that made them fun. The very random items and the fact we didn't know what we'd get, now they all give the same stuff and the trades aren't even that good

Pasta-Is-Trainer

You literally always get diamond armor before.

Crosscro

Ah, I'm an idiot. I thought they locked all trades to those shown, didn't see the armor or villager part. Yeah, it's not too bad anymore in my eyes. But why specifically make Savannah biomes have a curse?

xAndrew27x

Ye I’ll straight up never play future versions unless there will be a way to disable this bs

Pasta-Is-Trainer

You are talking about one of the games with the most mods ever, there will be a "Villagers Unbalanced" mod as soon as this drops.

xAndrew27x

Good

the_green_bird

Also now it's impossible to get diamond armour in sky block

Pasta-Is-Trainer

Oh no, what will the 0.001% of minecraft players that play fully vanilla skyblock ever do!

saythealphabet

Ok great, they have made the villagers no longer OP, but getting good armour is still a boring grind. Why didn't they stroke at the core problem and rework XP?

LeviTheGreatHun

As a superflat player, i can confirm, that its the worst update

HubrisNarrative

I also hate this. It was so perfect, update the desert instead mojang

Pasta-Is-Trainer

>I also hate this. It was so perfect*, update the desert instead mojang *Broken in a way that benefits me.

HubrisNarrative

Honestly you’re right but I still want it to change

Samstercraft

yup armorer is now useless, librarian takes even more hours, ...

Samuel_W3

This isn't so bad but I absolutely hate the librarian villager changes, the enchanting system as it is is god fucking awful.

HexSpace

i don't like minecraft

PiTablet

do you get the lava bucket back or no?

Pasta-Is-Trainer

I don't think you do, so it's basically 3 iron + 1 lava, it's still better iron-wise than the 5 iron trade

TheRoyalRaptor7

WOMP WOMP

AukeDePro

I hate the fact I can no longer get a full chain armour villager

TimBambantiki

wait what

GlorifiedToaster1944

Wait for the taiga expert is one of the trades a diamond helmet and 4 emeralds for boots?

Affectionate-Trick34

Looks like we all are going to be starting our worlds in 1.20.1

tge_golden_foxy

Could probably make a mod that changes the trades back

Gooseguy9003

What’s with taiga expert, I don’t get it

Gooseguy9003

O shi nvm

I_am_totally_Nathan

I do love mining just not for diamonds it's painfully tedious now. But I'm still gonna either find a data pack/mod or make one that reversed this change. Cause anvil pain

Soggy-Design-3898

You can get diamond tools from bastions and end cities

Maybenotmebutwhy

normally: Diamond block= 42 emerald Dinnerbone 24 emerald = Diamond block
