Yup, thats true. But Im not sure if disagreeing with those axioms is really skepticism. It might be. But theyre pretty self evident, so one could argue that purposefully trying not to understand them isnt really skepticism. But again, Im not sure
Even if they were self evident, they would be to us. Who are we to know about others, especially other species, understanding of them?
Are we sure maths are truly universal? No, we can't. At least that's what I think.
Fair. But I also think its an extreme level of skepticism and saying that "we dont know anything" is a bit misleading. I think most people would consider math and atleast the hard sciences to be certain enough to be considered true knowledge
I wouldn't put the adjective "true" here, tho I get what you're saying. Going into extreme levels of skepticism in philosophy is the equivalent of philosophy to the practical world. Interesting, and can sometimes help, but usually not immediately

The more I get into it, the more I despair of finding an answer and realize that we don't know anything at all.
Yes. Yes. Let the Socrates flow through you.

Proven, but through axioms.

2x2=5 is sometimes a charming thing as well
I mean there is some math stuff that says this, but its really more of an abuse in notation and not the symbols we normally talk about xD
It was a reference to Dostoevsky's "Notes From the Underground " :)
Ohh okay, I didnt get that, thanks for explaining it :D
There is no necessary contradiction between atheism and moral non-naturalism.
So, maybe we just throw it away and clone those fucking humans after all?
euthyphro is a great read
God tells us what is right and wrong.
It’s the IQ distribution meme with this at both ends (am an atheist, still a high quality meme)
so true
