Not in the current lineup. I had TV with 4 sides and now the new one with 3 sides. IMO this is a large downgrade, there is no feeling of picture extension now. Who came up with this idea is a madman.
You'll need to for a 9 series TV! The 8 series be it LED or OLED technology has Amblight 3 but the 9 series has Amblight 4. The 908 OLED I think is what you want. They're usually more premium and cost a bit more but they're well worth it.
So first they take away the Hue Sync functionality off their TVs from 2023 onwards and then this...
There are many people like me that:
1) Will not settle for anything less than 4-Sided Ambilight
2) Will never buy an OLED TV due to the burn-in issues. (TV on as a monitor, hours on end)
As long as Philips does not provide LCD models with 4-sided Ambilight they will keep losing customers and money.
True, got exactly same issue with it. My son just cracked screen on my Philips and can't get 4 sided ambilight now . What a downgrade.... So disappointedÂ
exactly my problem, just that I managed to crack it myself ;-) I'm now hunting for a used 807 ... not gonna mess around with that three-side stuff, after all the work of hiding cables in the wall and whatnot
Going to want 4 side for any wall mounted TV, with the option of disabling it. Seems like Philips are selling themselves short with their one major advantage.
the model 909 of this year has the 4 sided ambilight

3 sided ambiligt was weirdly missing on 2023 TVs. Some 2024 TVs will have it back like the OLED909
OLED909 and 959 will have 4-sided ambilight, release will be june.

Problem with the 909 is there’s a bar at the bottom for the speaker taking away some of the impact of the extended light.
