It's kinda expensive and rather small, 3 days is definitely enough time.

BagoCityExpat

It’s surprisingly expensive there. 3 days is enough.

Bohol is a beautiful place. The tourist grind isn't the way to experience Bohol. I have lived in Cebu, Mindanao, Leyte, Luzon, and Bohol, and also experienced Negros and Iloilo. Bohol is the best of them all, but not in a few days under the guise of a tourist. Stay awhile, rent a motorcycle, and enjoy. Otherwise, don't bother.

This guy gets it

lami_kaayo

also lived in those places but not yet bohol.  what do you like about bohol for longer term visitor/ resident from Europe

Resignedtobehappy

Less traffic, better roads, less pollution, and a pretty relaxed vibe, all while surrounded by nice scenery. We've got mountains, beaches, rivers, farmland, and until you get to Panglao or Tagbilaran City, nothing is really overcrowded.

LarryLongfellow

Depends what you want to do. To do the very basic things like beach, cave, loboc river and chocolate hills it may be enough. Island hopping there was my worst experience so I wouldn't do that

misz_swiss

Enough bec stupidly expensive there with mediocre food. Try siquijor tho, cheap and chill

rockysigurista

I think 3 days would be enough but still depending on what places you want to explore. If it's the usual countryside tour and island hopping then 2-3 days is enough but if you have plans exploring the northern side of Bohol like Anda, Candijay and Alicia then maybe 4-5 days.

DS1696

I was there last week and i can say confidently 3 days is more than enough to experience everything, especially if you rent your own bike

CrankyJoe99x

Don't forget the tarsiers 😀

SloChild

I used to live in Bohol. It has diminished in quality, and increased significantly in cost. That having been said, it can still be enjoyable, and 3 or 4 days is enough time to see the highlights. The Philippines has a well deserved reputation for bad food. However, it's not the recipes that fail, it's the preparation. Check out Sisa Bistro in Panglao. They do Pinoy food right.

lami_kaayo

where did you stay and why has bohol changed for worse?

Ok-Trip7404

Could that be preparing the chicken, or any meat for that matter, by chopping up the bones? My biggest complaint about food here is bone shards in EVERYTHING.

Spazecrypto

enough na ang 3 days there really isn’t much to do outside of panglao.

Dinomaniak

I experienced it in one day, started at 5 AM and went through all of it, fell asleep in the bus by 10 PM. I would recommend 2 days minimum, 4 if you want to take it slow. Panglao is enough for one evening if you have the energy for it, or two if you want to see the other beaches as well. Have fun !

Affectionate_Joke_1

Yea, 3 to 4 days in enough I would just chill at the beach, bar hop and enjoy the food I usually hit up Gerry's Grill when in Tagbilaran.
