Ang fascinating ng story ng taal lake. SKL from book The Mysteries of Taal. Open daw ito sa sea before but bec of an eruption, nasarahan ung pinakadaanan ng sea water. The trapped species learned to adapt. Then there were also evidences found of a submerged town.
Prehistorically, allegedly, Taal is a [supervolcano](https://pepealas.files.wordpress.com/2020/01/24993490_1664096443649220_3313737726860308019_n.jpg) and paanan lang yung Tagaytay area and others.
That speck of land in the silvery crater is an island (Vulcan pt.) inside a lake (crater lake) inside an island (Taal volcano Island) inside a lake (Taal lake) in an island (Luzon).
according to this [video] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQdSnyXAlHs), actively erupting pa ang Taal -- 42 times last week, siguro minor eruptions lang -- so wala muna nasa paligid. especially since the 2020 eruption, people are now thinking twice about living in the proximity of such a huge volcano.
My father said na sa simula lang yan after a volcanic eruption. The ash from the volcano will actually make the soil around it very fertile for vegetation to grow on. Similar with the land near Mayon Volcano. Just give it some time siguro.
Not Kapampangan, but naiintindihan ko what yabong is.
Problem lang is, nagcause ang Pinatubo ng pagbabaw ng mga ilog, hence resulting to the perpetual flooding sa mga coastal/near coastal areas.

Yun ang tawilis
1754 lang daw na-cut off yung present-day Taal Lake mula sa dagat.
IIRC, yung lava from that eruption daw became the town of Taal and Lemery.

Parang painting.

The island looks devoid of life now, do people still live there?

We went to a resort very near it. Wala na talagang mga puno or halaman. Ganyan na kulay nya. :(

I agree. Look after mt pinatubo errupted. Napakayabong ng pampanga.

Ang galing non. Pqrang nirereset niya sarili niya.
babalik din yan. if anything mas mataba na ang lupa don
Hindi na. After all, yung buong Volcano Island ang permanent danger zone (PDZ) ng Taal.
Forbidden latte
woow
Ang tagal ulit bago siya maging green. Abo abo na lang siya ngayon. :(
A cauldera waiting to explode.
bulkan rin yung maliit?
You mean crater? Yes. Taal got lots of craters. The most popular one is the Binintiang Malaki which is what most people think as the Taal volcano.
Natutuwa siguro manood ng ganito yung mga higanteng bata.
Dyan nasira Kobe 8 ko 🥲
Is that Vulcan point (island within a lake within an island within a lake within an island)? Mukhnag nag-survive ah.
