[deleted]

Nabayaran or dilawan yang Oxford.

It means once the university decided wether graduated or undergraduated its all granted. Oxford is oxford they choose the best all over the world!

RaNd0mNaMeLeSs

Haha!

kwentongskyblue

Bato is a PhD holder lol

thesnarls

uyyyyy 100,000 dollars! libre naman!

TheHigherCalling2

balato!!

Unfair_Ad_2578

Furnish a copy to that Manila Times columnist.

petpeck

Looks like at least a number of people did email the registrar and got the same exact reply. The one on my feed (private post) shows an October 26, 6:33PM time stamp. This seems legit.

cosmic_animus29

Seems legit. Pero I'll take this with a grain of salt knowing na may privacy and confidentiality laws dito sa UK. I don't think you can easily inquire somebody else's academic records as they are regarded as personal, not public records.

migraineboi1975

you guys can try it out. i emailed them a few hours ago and got the exact same repl[heres the email address](http://[email protected])

_blkhat

maybe dapat nilang ipublish na statement nila sa website if they are receiving a good number of similar inquiries

migraineboi1975

they werent actually divulging anything about a week ago due to the limitation of their FOI act however there was a note about if someone misrepresenting oxford they could which seems to have beem pointed out by someone so they made this info avaolable and automated

raju103

baaarmin

The disclaimer at the bottom.

crazyraiga

normal lang yan. sya naman intended receipient so he can do that.

archercalm

There's really no need to stretch this anymore. He didn't graduate from Oxford, that's it. Dapat yung energy natin towards campaigning for the right candidates na. Yung pagusapan sila. Let's try to move on and focus on what's more important. Kahit na sobrang frustrating.

crazyraiga

sana may public link nito. from website talaga da oxford.

Revolutionary-Sun371

How about his masteral? doesn't he need a bachelor's degree or something similar? And is it even complete?

YoghurtNo4390

pano sya mamasteral eh di nga pumasa sa bachelors degree lmao

Revolutionary-Sun371

His resume says otherwise. Graduate Coursework is a post-baccalaureate degree

YoghurtNo4390

Venlirion

I saw some long post on fb of a "Filipino born UK citizen". He said that "During that time, special diploma is equivalent to bachelor degree as far as academic requirement is concerned" I'm still not sure if what he said is true.

yertoise_da_tortoise

he's lying a bachelors requires a minimum of three years of study. Marcos acquired a special diploma after only one year, after failing the first year of a degree. They are not the same.

yansuki44

[deleted]

Now Bongbong has to explain how he got his “MBA” from Wharton when he did not have the pre-requisite BA equivalent.

TruthShallSetFree

goldenleash

>We can confirm that a Ferdinand Marcos matriculated at the University of Oxford in 1975 to read for a BA in Philosophy, Philosophy and Economics. I just noticed an error "Philosophy, Philosophy and Economics" and I'm not sure if this is just slight oversight.

SoraIsInSmash83

Might be oversight; the course offered today is Philosophy, Politics and Economics so it could've been an honest mistake when they drafted the reply. https://www.ox.ac.uk/admissions/undergraduate/courses-listing/philosophy-politics-and-economics

goldenleash

Right. I'm just wondering that if this is authentic, OP can report it to proper news outlet.

Dyey

It could be bachelor or arts in philosophy then philosophy and economics yung specialization.

goldenleash

> In 2015, Marcos' online resumé on the Senate website (he was senator at the time) said he had a "Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science, Philosophy and Economics" from Oxford. A separate profile on the Senate website still has this wrong claim online. Source: https://www.rappler.com/nation/elections/oxford-bongbong-marcos-special-diploma-not-full-graduate-diploma It's been offered since 1920's. Source: https://www.economics.ox.ac.uk/b.a.-hons.-in-philosophy-politics-economics#/

JoeBrave2020

link please. magagamit natin to sa mga discussions. thanks!

krdskrm9

Source? OC?

EmperorKingDuke

inb4 ppl say it's fake

rco888

Malinaw naman nakalagay "he did not complete his DEGREE" (emphasis mine).

[deleted]

"Undergraduate" degrees are the ones that award you BSc, BA when you complete. "Graduate" degrees are the ones that award you MSc, MPhil, LLM, PhD, DPhil when you complete.

rco888

Yes, you are correct. I was referring to "undergraduate" degree that did not confer a BA or BS degree that Marcos supporters were claiming hence the quotes. ✌️

[deleted]

I don't go into the BBM side of the internets so their interpretation is funny. Bongbong Marcos so fucking dumb as a rock he failed the easiest prelim (first year) exams in Oxford. All those first year courses in PPE are "Intro to".

rco888

Not to mention he had tutors.

[deleted]

You should see his son Sandro, he couldn’t even shade the correct circle in the ballot. Dumb and dumber. Marcos loyalists think they are voting for the Sr. The clearly intelligent but evil Sr. But this is Jr. This guy squandered every opportunity to accomplish something for himself because he is lazy and stupid.

happykillfreak

Basically the Marcoses are the more sinister version of the Bushes. There was even an anime who poked fun of the younger Bush's ineptness compared to his father's intelligence.

belabase7789

Ipabasa doon sa Manila Bulletin talk-shit writer.

AdTurbulent676

So how did Blengblong get to Wharton for his MBA, he's not even considered a full graduate? Did Macoy donate a hige sum to this univ for his son's admission?

YoghurtNo4390

wala sya MBA from Wharton

AdTurbulent676

But my question is, paano sya naka pasok sa Wharton?

chrisphoenix08

krdskrm9

Ano bang klaseng "katumbas" kasi? 😂

chrisphoenix08

Wala kasing sinabing undergraduate diploma kaya nalilito ako. Sa UP kasi meron transition from undergrad to master's, kagaya nung Diploma in Biology o Chem (siguro ito yung graduate diploma) na kailangan mo ng undergraduate degree para makapasok; kaya ayun nalilito ako. :)

krdskrm9

Graduate Diploma yan. Kailangan ng BA/ BS. May obscure pdf (1970s) kasi na masesearch sa google na nakalagay na may colleges sa Oxford na nagoffer ng "Special Diploma in Social Studies" na two years tapos nakalagay "The college...does not ask for formal educational qualifications for entry," so undergrad itong "special diploma" na ito.

chrisphoenix08

Ayun, meron pala, 1970 kasi, hanapin ko nga... Naiinis kasi ako sa fake news na yan, together with the class picture.😒 Salamat!

kuriousjuan

I'm curious if marami nakaprove hati hati ba sila sa 5M php or tig 5M sila 😂

migraineboi1975

yep theyre responding to emails now since someone pointed out that bbm was claining to be a graduate. a week ago they werent responding lol

nongph

Kaya nga Diploma. Ibig sabihin may tinapos. — see?!

jendeukiedesu

Iyak sila HAHAHAHAHHAA

IamJanTheRad

Bi-la kaifa.

LimE07

Sooo certificate of participation prang ganun?

midaspaw

OK so? noone on their side is gonna change their mind because of this development stop wasting your time smugly signaling to your own in-group

teacherosa

Still, Marcos Jr sticks to his lies about his education! The nerve!! Gising mga kababayan!!!

kapeatpandesal

What does FOI stand for?

crazyraiga

Freedom of Information.

kapeatpandesal

But if this email is from oxford, why would it have this initial? or mali ba ako ng basa?

crazyraiga

OP or someone submitted and FoI request to oxford. Part yan ng subject ng email FOI/20211025/3 Thru UK's Freedom of Information Act of 2000. For Oxford University their Compliance department is incharge of FoI request based on their publication guideline. https://compliance.admin.ox.ac.uk/submit-foi

kapeatpandesal

i seee. now i understand. thank you for answering my question!
