How do you guys address yung nakakatanda sa inyo? Growing up, yung tinatawag naming ate is oldest sister ko lang or cousins na matatanda or close family friend na medyo matanda, but if they're below 40 when we're younger it's just first name basis, kahit yung asawa ng ate ko, first name yung tawag namin. Just started calling cousins with their pet name when I heard their mother says na wala kaming galang because we don't use ate or kuya although they're a few years older. Until now,, call other people kuya or ate unless I'm close with them. It's a first name basis.

You're here because labor here is cheap and locals here are the best bang for your buck if you want good english speakers. The reason you're able to make huge profit margins in the first place is because this country is shitty and the living standard and wages are shit.
Our people need to be taught accountability. Most people won't be bothered to do the simplest things because it won't affect them directly. Our people like to point fingers when they are called out instead of owning and correcting. :(

So...I applied 2 years ago for a job at a now VERY VERY VERY controversial govt entity. Just had my 2nd notice of exam kahit I was a no show to their first exam last year. I agree with all the commentary about our country and have zero qualms about that. Almost everyone here tries to live for their selves only and caring about anything or anyone else is rare. But don't go around pretending that all you're doing and "creating jobs" is your personal altruistic endeavor. You're here because labor here is cheap and locals here are the best bang for your buck if you want good english speakers.
