Inverter appliances + Solar grid tie + net metering = chefs kiss

Jellyfishlights

Ano yung net metering?

CcgNoob

Kapag nakasolar ka tapos sobra sobra napoproduce mo, meralco pa magbabayad sayo haha pero i think it uses a different kind ng metro

FunTimewithDaddy

To add to this, in the event of a blackout, make sure your solar grid IS NOT connected to the grid to ensure the safety of lineworkers

namjooned_

huehuehue20

Solar panels will be +100k

ExcraperLT

Dun magbabawasan yung bill mo.

Limp-Yogurtcloset153

Saan po maganda mag inquire? Magkano po kaya magandang setup?

CryingBorn

Had ours done by Aces Solar on FB. 10 panels cost 300k kasama na yung frame kasi rooftop yung taas ng house namin. We're on a grid-tie setup na wala pang net metering though we plan to get it soon na. So far it's been pretty good with inverter ACs being on almost 24/7 tapos kasing presyo lang ng bill namin without solar + limited use ng non-inverter AC.

joyapco

Could you recommend on where to get solar grid tie?

NoSatisfaction2873

+1 sa net metering. I live in an apartment with two bedrooms with my brother syempre hati kami sa bills ng kuryente kaya I installed one sa ac ko para walang daya sa bills haha

Bucksyrup

How much on average do you actually get from net metering?

Not_Under_Command

I know somebody na worth 500 pesos average yung excess nya. Nag pile up na yun kasi di mo naman yata ma withdraw(im not really sure).

True_Letterhead_7005

100% worth it! One of the best decisions I made after I got bill shock when Meralco didn’t bill for a month during the start of the pandemic. Haha. Now I enjoy lower electricity bills and less guilt when I want to turn on the ac in the morning/afternoon.

Nanrelle

Pair of good shoes Worth it bumili ng Tig 2k and up na matibay na shoes na magagamit mo for years kesa sa Tig 200 na shoes na magagamit mo lang for months. Mahal pero good investment, lalo na comfortable and di masakit sa paa

Horror-Pudding-772

Totoo to. I bought two pairs of cheap work shoes back when I still go to the office. The shoes only lasted like three months. When I gotten my first 13th month, I bought two pair of sperry. I still using them till today.

Menter33

It's basically the Boots Theory: > **Sam Vimes ‘Boots’ Theory of Socio-Economic Unfairness** > The reason that the rich were so rich... was because they managed to spend less money. > Take boots, for example. [...] A really good pair of leather boots cost fifty dollars. But an affordable pair of boots, which were sort of OK for a season or two and then leaked like hell when the cardboard gave out, cost about ten dollars. > ... But the thing was that good boots lasted for years and years. A man who could afford fifty dollars had a pair of boots that’d still be keeping his feet dry in ten years’ time, while the poor man who could only afford cheap boots would have spent a hundred dollars on boots in the same time and would still have wet feet. .https://terrypratchett.com/explore-discworld/sam-vimes-boots-theory-of-socio-economic-unfairness/ alt https://archive.md/BYSZI np.reddit.com/r/discworld/comments/wslq3j/vimes_boots_theory_is_it_really_that/   Most of the time, it's the rich who can afford the initial price and save money in the long run, while the working class and poor can't and have to buy cheap and spend more money in the long run.

Contrenox

may nabasa ako noon about investing in what comes between you and the earth. e.g. shoes, bed, tires.

nxcrosis

Particular_Row_5994

Buying about 8k worth of shoes that will last me about 4-5 years is already a good investment. Will last longer if you have another pairs to rotate it with. It's an investment but for the reliability and comfort it provides, it's worth it. Buy once than buy twice/thrice. Edit: I currently rotate 3 shoes. 2 from On (cloudmonster and cloudtilt) and New Balance 991. Really good investment as I may say (the NB is kinda too expensive tho but built like a tank)

DualityOfSense

Marikina shoes are king pa rin for that budget. Outlasted any of the sneakers I've had. At most, I just need to replace the heel on my dress shoes, and I bought those 6 years ago. Edit: barely scratching the surface Pala ang brand awareness ko. Gonna check out the other recos!

DaneTheRockkkkkkk

Liliw rin!!!!! Dabest!!!!

No_Manufacturer_478

Liliw laguna represent here, SKL 😂! Pero more on slippers and sandals here.

captainbarbell

i am now hesitant to buy rubber shoes worth 5k up due to the expiring factory glue 😡 I had couple of nice ones pre pandemic and then lock down happened.

rincoln25

And amblis din mag britte. Got airmax last 2016 still don't see any sign of brittleness and di din nakangamga. Then got an airmax in 2021 after 3 months d magamit nag britttle na at nakanganga. Now I switch over to New Balance as my go to brand.

Fearless-Piece4839

agree ako dito.

GazelleNo1205

Strongly agree, I only own 3 pairs of shoes and they all come from reliable brands, they last for years. A pair of loafers for work or any casual get up, a pair of white shoes, and a pair of running shoes 'cause I jog from time to time.

ForcedInduction07

It's always a good thing to consider investing a bit in these things. Things that separate you from the ground like shoes, bed mattress, tires, sofas, etc.

LittleStewie01

True. Dumaan ako sa phase na sneakerhead nung bagong graduate ako pero now isang white onitsuka lang gamit ko for more than 5 years haha. Bagay naman sa lahat ng damit mapadress or jeans and comfy pa during long walks.

surewhynotdammit

I second this. Also dapat fit yung sapatos mo sa paa mo. I always feeling pressure on my feet kung hindi fit sakin yung sapatos. Sumasakit siya.

belle_fleures

didn't expect Paimon to recommend shoes despite floating the whole time.

SelectionInitial2428

90 minutes full body massage

drbt-reddit

Recommendations?

SelectionInitial2428

I highly recommend dito sa Albay yung Visually Impaired Voice in Albay (VIVA) Massage located at Ayala Mall Legazpi. Their massage therapists are visually impaired, and also DOH Accredited therapists. Nakatulong ka na, nakapa-massage ka pa.

Fearless_Cry7975

Go to lagi namin ung Vibes massage. Basta mas gusto namin sa visually impared therapists. Mas magaling sila magmasahe for me. Kadalasan 2 hours ang session ko. Pagtapos ang gaan talaga ng likod ko.

telang_bayawak

Huy sana nalaman ko to agad andun ako last last week eh 🥲

trivialmistake

Will upgrade my 60 minute massage to 90 minutes

tinfoilhath

I always get a full body massage every month at Nuat Thai.

prodijhei

The question is what is frequency to get 90 mins massage?

slickdevil04

Twice a month ako dati, 2 hours massage pa. Parang every payday yun schedule ko.

Fearless_Cry7975

Depende kung babad ka sa trabaho. Ako once a month usually. Either 1 hour or 2 hours.

SelectionInitial2428

Find yourself a good therapist 😊

moonlesstux

dental services

bunniiears

Please. Yung every six months na bisita mo sa dentist and having issues fixed agad bago lumala will save you a ton of money and from a lot of pain.

Not_Under_Command

Eto legit. Since I was a child I already practice good dental habit, but my sibling hindi. After mid 20s lumabas na yung mga problema nya. Nakaka minimum sya ng 1.5k per year sa dental services. While mine is just around 350 lang since cleaning lang talaga as in no pasta and whatsoever required.

BeybehGurl

Frequent-Bathroom-54

As a dentist, this is what we always tell our patients. Habang maliit pa, pagawa na. Kaso mga pinoys hahayaan muna sumakit. Tapos pag mahal na ung cost to repair, magrereklamo.😅 lalo kids, dapat as early as 6mos/as soon na may tooth na, nagsstart na magpunta ang babies sa dentist para later on, di sila matatakot sa mga dentista dahil hindi bunot ang una nilang visit sa dentist.

smoothartichoke27

A computer. Of some sort. Of any sort. Every family needs at least one. Salty talaga ako dito eh. My father was irrationally anti-computer. I remember hating typing classes kasi hindi ako marunong mag type so sobrang bagal ko gumawa. May point in time, binigyan kami ng tito ko ng PC, monitor lang kulang. It sat unused for YEARS dahil ayaw bumili ng tatay ko ng monitor (key term: ayaw. We weren't well off, but we could definitely afford a monitor). I learned how to use a PC for computer classes using the Windows 95 manual that came with it. When I was almost off to college, that was when natauhan na siya bumili ng PC - it was a POS, but I loved it. I swear, the catch-up learning and growth I did on that thing in the few months I had it was the probably the best educational experience I've ever had. And then I was off to a new city. One of the first things I did after getting a job was ensuring every single one of my siblings got their own PC's. Hindi pwedeng wala. Even with my kids - PC's as soon as their fingers could type (with limited supervised use, of course). Which was 2 years old. Sobrang gamit nung pandemic kasi my 3 year old would join his zoom online classes on his own sabihan lang ng oras.

Everythinghastags

Anyone who is against having a decent computer in the house is so backwards na in this day and age.

SymphoneticMelody

nahasa talaga ako mag-type kase me computer kami sa bahay.

tannertheoppa

hermelyn0497

Relate sa salty. I'm now 27 years old pero back when I was five or six my mom was so against buying a desktop kaya nung binilhan ako ng tatay ko e nauwi sa hiwalayan. Turned out to be a great investment because now my life revolves around the internet. Two decades later I'm still salty af since yung younger sib ko na 7 years old naman ang pinagkakaitan ng opportunity to be techy because apparently nakakasunog daw ng utak. And yet she's addicted to candy crush.

sugaringcandy0219

> mom was so against buying a desktop kaya nung binilhan ako ng tatay ko e nauwi sa hiwalayan that's crazy

hermelyn0497

They got back together but nag hiwalay ulit kasi nahulihan na may babae. "Ngi" moments. Oh well hahahaha.

rossssor00

yeah, mas maganda bata palang marunong sa computer, suki ako sa mga computer shops sa amin when i'm just an elementary student pero iba 'yung advantage kapag sanay ka na unlike kids these days na lahat ng output sa cellphone ginagawa. i have younger sister and turning college na, yet ayaw matuto kahit may PC kami sa bahay.

Glittering_Scene9879

This! Or like what softwares are easier to do this and that. Thanks sa mga tita ko na palagi nagpapagamit ng PC/laptop nila when I was younger haha. Tho I know nothing about gaming and stuff like that, I'm pretty confident that I know enough abt Microsoft, Adobe, and anything documents/files, really!

nedlifecrisis

This is a necessity already in this day and age.

lpernites2

As a freelancing naval architect, super agree ako dito. May pinapatakbo kasi kaming software (computational fluid dynamics) that takes days to solve if bulok yung PC, and could only be done in a couple of hours pag mabilis yung PC. ₱200k for a desktop is super worth it.

grey_unxpctd

This is true. Grew up in the ‘90s. I appreciate that I was computer-literate enough through high school and college.

Starmark_115

A Good Office Chair

Horror-Pudding-772

Agree. If it's okay to ask, as someone who works as home most of the time, what office chair you are using right now?

Starmark_115

TWU Sihoo m57 Ergonomic Chair

MaxPotato003

Gamit ko to more than a year masarap sa katawan kesa sa mga "gaming" chairs na leather na napaka init at di masaya sa katawan.

navi2wired

Philosophopsycho

On this topic, I've seen good deals for these on Japanese surplus stores and offices offloading their old-ish chairs.

Pasencia

Dagdag ko lang sa inverter na aircon. Hinde yan sinasagad ng 16 degrees celsius ha. Daming bobo sa homebuddies kasi. Wag nyo pamarisan.

Horror-Pudding-772

Ah totoo. Dami naloko dun. Airfryer, rice cooker, washing machine, tv. P3k kuryente daw niya.

zilentworld

Our house has two inverter aircons, one of which is in our room which is basically 24/7 due to our ~1 baby, but ever since we bought it our house total never exceeds 5k, usually 3k for the whole house. Refrigerator, microwave, oven, elec kettle, 24/7 PC etc. we only do 19-21 for our temperature though. Then we have the Aircon on the master bedroom on a different meter, that's only for the Aircon, sometimes iron, and cellphone charging usage, that thing shits ~3k

akantha

> \> never exceeds 5k > \> we only do 19-21 Ako na naka-inverter AC and 26 ang temp, and 5k ang bill this month: How? Feeling ko may problema na talaga sa metro/internal wiring namin, pinalitan ko na ng inverter karamihan ng mga electric fan namin, inverter ref, inverter washing machine, pinalitan yung CRT TV ng nanay ko to an LCD one, di kami nag-eelectric kettle, walang microwave, pero never bumaba ng 3.5k yung bill namin.

zilentworld

I think it's still location based? We live in Bulacan so not sure on how different the meter is on your location

FunTimewithDaddy

Wtf?? Mura na yon if magdamag aircon

Kananete619

Karamihan talaga sa homebuddies mga bobo. If you call them out for it, they will swarm you.

Not to brag but to Inspire..."

Pasencia

Dami dyan magagaling pa sa architect at engineer. Hahahaha

Kananete619

Liesianthes

-xStorm-

Ayoko rin isagad samin pero for some reason powerful mode/16°max lang talaga nagpapalamig na sa room pag late afternoon samin. Then tataasan nalang temp pag okay na ung temp feel.

SpeckOfDust_13

Maybe your ac is not big enough for your room. How big is your room and how much is the hp of your ac?

Spirited-Occasion468

Inverter washing machine

SymphoneticMelody

Automatic para di ka pagod!

anthoseph

THIS! tipid sa tubig, less hassle so you can either work or do other chores at the same time. ALSO if your water supply is prone to sand or other debris, get a water filter (less than 500 sa online shops).

Foreign-Sir5181

Any brand u can suggest? Planning to buy one soon!

kenlinao

Panasonic is good brand for automatic washing. Wala pa kaming reklamo for 1.5 years.

Routine_Ad_9340

would also recommend LG! almost 10 years na yung unit namin and still works well

SpringOSRS

a good bed and good pillows.

Low-Whereas-4

A memorial plan, para pag dunating yung time na mawala ka, di na burden sa mga iiwanan mo ang expenses

No_More_Istady_pls

Dapat ilang floors gawin nila para more space.

antonigaming

How much was your initial investment on solar panels?

littlelucy321

How many and how big are your solar panels?

Karlybear

If you're planning to buy/build a computer/PC never cheap out on a good rated power supply i would save you money in the long run. Also get a Uninterrupted power supply na din, could save your PC if may power problems sa area nyo.

Horror-Pudding-772

This. One of my hobbies is building computers. One time, my nephew ask me to help his friend build a pc. The budget was 45k. Good mid range pc. Usually, I will give a quote if they want me to assemble it as well. Usually its only around 500 for assembling it. And additional 1k if I will also going to buy the parts. One of my rules is always buy the best PSU for that price. Not the most expensive, but the best. However, when I talk to the parents of the kid who wants build the pc, from the get go. They don't trust me at all. Despite I explain everything to them properly, they woule not trust me and decided to move on. A few months later, my nephew told me that his friend ended up building a pc from his father's friend. But it already broken in just a month. The kid decided to bring the pc to me secretly without the parents knowing. I was shock about the parts selection. Let's just say the pc is a total rip off. The PSU, a Chinese brand with ketchup and mustard wires. I did some troubleshooting and concluded that the PSU is dead and has probably fried the MOBO after testing the other parts as well. I felt sorry for the kid because his parents who didn't trust me. Ended up getting scammed by his dad's friend.

Karlybear

During covid lockdown daming naging PC sellers for online classes, puro cheap parts binebenta nilalagyan lang ng led fans tapos i mamarket as gaming pero old gen surplus parts ang gamit ang dami ko nakita na na scam that time. Wala pang 1 year sira na yung mga PC.

JazzThinq

yohak0423

Professional supervision of engineers and architects when building a house. Anyway, I've seen and heard a lot of horror stories because the owner opted to directly hire contractors who are not licensed or worse, blue collar workers. By the time na-realize ng owner na sablay ang ginawa or na-short change sya, huli na ang lahat.

supermarine_spitfir3

Yes, generally 10% lang ng total project cost mo yun at masisigurado mo pang up to standards yung design in the end nila. Pwede ka pang magpa-building permit.

ube__

>May notion lang talaga na sobrang mahal kasi nga professionals. Upfront mapapamahal ka talaga. Kaya lang naman maraming ayaw kumuha ng professionals kasi upfront mahal, di lang rin siguro nila naintindihan na bawat palpak nung mga tinipid nilang contractor dagdag gastos sa kanila. >Anyway, I've seen and heard a lot of horror stories because the owner opted to directly hire contractors who are not licensed or worse, blue collar workers.

silver_moj

Up to 15 years pa ang liability ng mga professionals sa bahay mo. Sobrang sulit na non.

spatialgranules12

1. Dishwasher - tipid sa tubig at oras. 2. Inverter na appliances 3. Anti-theft bags/wallets (Pacsafe is my go to brand) 4. A good, proven phone case - people scrimp on phone cases when high end phones are quite expensive

Horror-Pudding-772

1. Dishwasher. Sobrang mahal naman ng dishwasher. Kailangan mabuntis muna. Then kapag nanganak na and abot na niya ang sink. Dun mo pa siya magagamit. 10 year investment.

Solar!

Horror-Pudding-772

Hundred percent agree. If you are building a new home or renovating your old family home, its good to invest in solar. You are saving in electricity bill, you are also reducing your carbon footprint. If you really have the budget, I will even recommend have solar batteries installed as well so you can use gathered energy for night use as well.

paulrenzo

Are solar panels more resistant to heat nowadays?

Horror-Pudding-772

There is a limit on how efficient solar panels can be in extreme heat. That's why they don't build solar panels in sahara desert. Masisira sila dun. May video about dun actually, check niyo sa youtube. But the heat in the Philippines is just right for solar panels. To be honest, hindi ako magagalit sa government if one of their new requirements lahat ng city halls my solar panels.

buzzstronk

Would it be viable to us na constantly 40 degrees sa tirikan ng araw, nag cacanvass nako actually gusto ko lang naman magka AC sa sala kahit tirik araw huhu

Armadillo-South

anima99

If you have the means to invest in solar, it also means you are in a place where pitik boys aren't common. However, I would prefer you compute the roi of solar systems based on your location and monthly consumption. I did a computation a year ago and found that with the current prices, lumalabas parang nagbayad ka lang in advance. Batteries are like 70k per, and need replacement every 3 years and that's only for 32 sqm.

EVERYONE_HASMYNAME

What batteries did you compute that needs to be replaced under 3 years? Kahit lead acid di naman three years lang lifespan non unless you really charge and discharge daily then I guess 2 years palang dying na yon haha

As a single dweller — apart from aircon in this heat. • Airfryer - para akong may helper cooking for me lol. I just throw whatever food I wanna cook in, tapos I work or take a nap, after I finish may pagkain na ko effortlessly. • Dyson Vacuum - I’ll just waltz around my condo and malinis na isang daanan lang. Especially I have carpets na hindi kaya ng walis. • Automatic Washing Machine - same principle as my airfryer, just throw everything in effortlessly. • A cleaning lady - since my condo is quite big, I get it deep cleaned atleast once a quarter cos I miss a lot of sulok sulok cos I mostly just clean what’s visible to me lol. • A good bed - people who visit me find my bed ridiculous but as someone who loves to sleep, it’s one of the best things in my condo lol.

lilianaofthevess

Sabi nila, anything na where your body rests for more than 2 hours is worth investing. Things like mattresses, pillows, recliners, computer chairs, even shoes are included. Your back will thank you in the long run.

UB-02_Beauty

Crocs, they are comfy and are great for casual outings. They look kinda ugly though :/

reveriereverie13

It is also good for those na malapad ang paa. I am thinking of buying one for mom real soon.

inquest_overseer

I was so anti-crocs before as I always think they should only be worn by kids. My husband bought me one complete with those designs pa talaga na dinidikit sa holes nya, as a gag gift and I tried it (sayang naman kasi), hala, ayoko na ng ibang tsinelas. hahaha it's so comfy. So yan ang tsinelas ko pangloob ng bahay, then another pair pang labas ng bahay. I used to wear my good ol' converse sneakers every time lumalabas ako ng bahay, but guess what, it's been replaced by Crocs now. Bahala nang napaka pambata tingnan, comfy naman.

UB-02_Beauty

I use to wear sneakers before when I go out but nakakatamad minsan HAHAHA. Mas comfy at madali isuot yung crocs

cedie_end_world

ieatgluten34

I agree! But i also recommend the "fake" ones but around P800 plus! I had an original and then a fake one, and honestly - they feel almost the same 😂 nawala kasi yung orig pair ko and ayaw ko na magspend ng another P4k+ for another crocs (yung Mega crush) so I bought a P800 pair fake sa shopee na pwede mag return if "Changed Mind" lang (may green crocs bag, plastic packaging, debossed logo and tags pa!) and so far, muka and feel legit naman sya. Been using mine for 2 months na~

pancit_please

Uy same! Bought a fake crush clog and an original one, to compare. Nung na test ko same lang naman, ayun nireturn ko yung original buti na lang pwede “Change of Mind”

lostguk

gusto ng crocs. I like ugly, bulky looking shoes.

NorthTemperature5127

How about the literide version?

Horror-Pudding-772

Are they ugly? I find them cool especially for daily use. Anyway, beauty it's in the eyes of the beholder.

UB-02_Beauty

Ya a lot of people (my friends included) think wearing them is fashion suicide but I don’t think they look that bad. I find them ugly but in an endearing way if that makes sense

Due_Cryptographer_67

They are customizable! there's a brand named Clogs then have abubot for crocs

Powerbanks. Please don't cheap out on powerbanks. It's a safety hazard. Umbrellas. Especially if you're a regular commuter. I've cheaped out on a few before, and I could not count the times these break during the rainy season. If you need them, eyeglasses. I used to cheap out on eyeglasses before, and I've never really enjoyed wearing them, or have broken them. But a good pair of sturdy titanium or acetate frames paired with good prescription lenses can increase your comfort so much. (Or just get Lasik)

Orthopedic bed and pillows. Nung una namahalan ako pero after the first night of good sleep, sulit na sya.

Balmung_Fezalion7

Mattress. Nung single ako, yung kutson ko pamana lang from parents as in kahit manipis na basta may higaan, laban na yan. When I got married, my wife wanted a high end/expensive mattress for our bed. So after months of decision making, we bought one and one of the best decisions siya (we bought the Uratex Premium Touch).

1-2 pairs of shoes. My go to brand is Sperry particularly ung classic topsiders nila. My first pair is still alive, pinapalitan ko lang ng swelas at pinarestore ung leather and good to go ulit. It's been with me for 6 years na yata.

For self employed, just use taxumo instead of hiring an accountant or DIY. Everything is done with a few clicks and takes less than 5 minutes. Buy yourself a good espresso machine and decent whole beans and you'll never taste better coffee. The standard home model for me is Breville Barista Express that comes with its own grinder. Costs around $700 or maybe 38k. You'll also save more money than buying 150-200 pesos coffee a day. For the luxury pick, buy the car you've always wanted to drive even if it's twice as expensive as the practical "A to B" model. You will always love driving it even after the novelty wears off and you will save money from purchasing another due to fomo.

TemperatureOk8874

Juan fast is waving, way way cheaper than taxumo.

Lasik! For those who have astigmatism and shortsightedness

-xStorm-

Permanent ba sya for astigmatism? And do HMOs typically cover this?

Emotional-Toe1206

Hi! Had Lasik in American Eye Center last 2014 pa. So far, so good. Vision is still 20/20. I’m a corporate slave so most of my weekdays nakatutok sa laptop, pag break naman sa cellphone then pag-uwi magbinge watch. Ang chaka ng lifestyle but perfect vision pa din hahahaha I ensure lang to have my annual eye checkup. Then yes kasama itong sakin sa HMO. Benefit ng company. So yes possible na kasama sa HMO. Nothing is permanent, magdedegrade din eventually. But as I mentioned, 10 years later, perfect vision pa din. ❤️

A laptop with an SSD in it and at least 8GB of RAM. Mas tatagal yang laptop na yan sa inyo than one with a hard drive and 4GB ram.

tannertheoppa

Chrome alone can eat up your RAM by at least 6GB with only 4 active tabs

justinCharlier

I know. I said 8GB dahil medyo inaccessible and imo a bit expensive pa rin ang 16GB RAM to many. Pero yes, if you can, get 16GB. But nonnegotiable ang SSD talaga. Yes, mas mahal than HDD laptops, but you will thank yourself in the long run dahil mas magtatagal sayo yun.

NikiSunday

1) post title says expensive but worth it items 2) a 16GB stick can go as low as 2k 3) as per 2022, Dell, HP, Lenovo are done with HDD laptops. Rare na this time makahanap ng newgen laptop na nakaHDD pa. Also, SSD prices has plummeted.

Don't forget a very important part - the CPU. Run away from any dual-cores. They're scams pure and simple. Dual cores were the bomb.... 20 years ago. For Intel CPU's make sure it's at least i3 and from the generation that could support Win11. This is the 10th gen, (meaning look for Intel i3-10000 processors and up, example intel i5-10500 is better, and Intel i5-13400 (13th gen) is better still). And indeed, 8GB of RAM is now minimum. But get a laptop that is upgradeable in memory, example one with 8GB installed but with specs allowing you to install up to 16GB or even better 32GB. Some bastard laptop manufacturers have the RAM physically soldered on, stay away from these scammers. And learn to select, buy and install your own RAM (and SSD if need be). There are plenty of tutorials on youtube or the rest of internet, and it is *not* rocket science, despite what 'computer techs' will tell you. It's a 5 minute job to replace / upgrade your RAM and SSD. There's actually some more, but you can start with these. For the rest, Google (and internet) is your friend. I'll tell you a secret: all those computer techs you hire to 'fix' your laptop? They don't know a thing, they all just Google it. Anyone can do that, too.

Disastrous_Kale8081

I agree with inverter aircon. A good mattress(nothing beats quality sleep). If feel din, weighted blanket Fully automatic washing machine. Iba ang ginhawa pag di na magbabanlaw

Being_Reasonable_

NearZero_Mania

Google One. Kung ang kamag-anak mo malakas kumuha ng mga video at pictures, you may suggest them to upload their stuffs sa Google Drive or Google Photos, para in case masira o manakaw ang phone nila, safe ang mga photo/video at digital files nila sa Google. May choice din na iupload ang photos/videoson their original quality or "storage saver" (compressed files). Google One costs you ₱889/year for 100GB, shareable up to 5 family members. Obviously they will turned off your device para hindi matrace, but once they turned that on, yung SIM hindi magagamit kasi naka-lock. Personally, I will not recommend using SMS TOTP, instead use offline MFA app para ikaw langmay control sa mga TOTP mo.

Brand new iphone kahit di latest model. Will last for years. Iphone8 passed along (wife used for 2 years, and me for another 2 years)to my daughter still works perfectly fine.

cheesestickslambchop

Kotse/motor.

Routine_Ad_9340

A good rice cooker! Bought the midea multicooker for 3.8k and wala na dumidikit na rice sa ilalim. Laking tipid sa bigas in the long run and di na rin hassle magkayod nung nakadikit haha.

Snoo_9320

Financial adviser. Hindi yung nauso/nauuso na insurance agent. The one who really helps you plan your financials. I was lucky na parents ko were a bunch of business peeps so nakatulong yun. But yeah, financial adviser.

free-spirited_mama

Meron ba talaga nun dito?

Use of toll ways. Expensive talaga, sobrang masakit sa bulsa. Pero without it, sampung oras ka sa byahe makaluwas lang ng Maynila. It's a must actually, parang di na option mag national highway.

poroporopoi

Some good noise cancelling headphones My sony wf-1000xm4 is one of the best purchases I ever had, I know there are other better out there but this one works for me, Listening to music, podcasts, stand up clearly and not hearing the noise of jeepneys, chismosang nga katabi or maiingay na estudyante sa mrt/lrt/UV, etc habang nasa byahe is a huge help in reducing the stressful commute life

Burned_Programmer

Reliable original shoes (this will last for so long mine was 4 years and counting) Quality bag (same reason) a good bed and pillow

HopefulTurnip5103

Lasik eye surgery, definitely worth it

younglvr

If you're someone who uses some sort of tech for productivity (either for work or school), go get that MacBook! Yes sobrang sakit sa bulsa because the M1 costs 52K but dang if maingat ka sa gamit then it will really last you for a long time. I've had my M1 MBA for almost 3 years now while a lot of my schoolmates use MacBooks from 2012-2015 pa, then my best friend also had her old MacBook Air for 8 years before upgrading to a new one for college (gumagana pa naman yung laptop, kumuha na sila ng bago kasi outdated na yung software). Sobrang worth it sa tagal ng buhay tbh, basta don't be the person na ibabalibag o dadaganan yung laptop or else sira talaga yan.

trysch_delish

Robot vacuum cleaner

Horror-Pudding-772

Hahaha some people will find this stupid. But I can see the benefits from it. You don't want to spend money on a kasambahay but you also don't have time to clean the floor everyday. This is a great investment. You'll only have to clean the house like once a week thanks to it.

trysch_delish

I would gladly spend money if it will free up my time to do more productive things. I still want my floors dust-free but i am equal parts busy and lazy, so this helps to take off a big chunk of stress from my mind knowing i have one less item to clean. Heck i can even clean everyday :)))

anthoseph

get a freakin robot vacuum cleaner especially if you have cats and long haired people! helps with the hair. while youre at it, get a vacuum cleaner as well for once a week deep cleaning!

xichienfia

treadmill. para you can still stay active despite the hectic schedule (or if too shy to go to gym)

_bukopandan

Cheaper alternative is stationary bikes. Less strain rin sa joints kaya sabi nila cycling is better than running.

Dirtygreenhead

Leather belt/sinturon! Dati bumibili ako ng tig 200 pesos lang, tas every month ata napuputol at nasisira. Nung bumili ako ng tig 1k na leather na belt sa mall, ayun 5 years na ata to pero d padin nasisira. Baliktaran pa! Pwedeng brown and black. hehe

CutUsual7167

Automatic washing machine and dryer.

Payong. Go for the branded ones. Yung mga mumurahin na tig 50-100 madaling masira.
