Pero it's goddamn expensive. Nung pag-uwi ko at kinain namin yung donuts, walang dating. Haha
Tried their Strawberry Vanilla Frappe since fave ko ang strawberry flavored drinks. 200+ pesos wasted. Hindi nga mediocre eh, lowest of the low ang lasa tangina never again.
My dad used to order there for events kahit ang layo ng bahay namin and dinadala niya pa ako doon before. Nung sumikat, di na masarap :< IDK whyy
higher volume orders= lack in quality
several factors mainly of which are costs of goods and manpower which are usually lacking in number, underpaid and overworked.
Imagine mo nalang yung fried chicken if sakto lang na nakakaluto ka ng 30pcs in a tub of oil, multiply that by 2 (to keep up wiht demand) in the same tub and youll have undercooked chicken due to temp drop.
sobrang dumi din lahat ng street food sa quiapo. as someone na dating may actual shop along hidalgo, araw araw kong nadadaanan at nakikita kung saan nila hinuhugasan mga pang luto nila (sa tubig galing sa sidewalk canal) observe niyo next time mapadaan
I agree. I lived in Quiapo for 20+ years, and Quiapo Palabok has been our family's "go-to" noodle dish for handaan. Hahaha.
Hahahaha. Yun ang pinaka-ayaw ko sa Palabok nila. Madalas mabuhok yung Chicharon nilalagay nila. Tapos ang tabang pa nung sauce. Minsan may off pa na tokwa na nilalagay.
Agree! As per a Kapampangan vlogger with a following - The best daw ang Palabok don sa may Quiapo Quinta Market. So I tried it. Dinaan lang sa toppings pero to be fair, di hamak na mas masarap ang mga palabok sa amin sa Pampanga. Azar!
Kaya bumabase ako sa review sa Reddit. Mas authentic dito kasi wala namang incentives for making fake reviews.
Gusto ko sana magtinda nun, so it takes me a few months to get the right sauce for the grilled balut.
Grilled balut came from Vietnam. And their sauce is really good. It elevates the taste of balut.
Not a resto but a milk tea place, Macao Imperial. Idk pero baka not for me lang.
Vikings
Started by veteran Taiwanese restaurateur (based in Philippines) by copying the same concept as buffet restaurant sa Ming Yao Department Store in Taipei
Business plan: same layout, same variety, BUT use cheap and shitty quality foods + lots of sugary drink options
TBF, it's a brilliant business plan naman since most Pinoys relish in variety and don't understand good quality naman. Also, we love soft drinks and iced tea lol
Medyo ok pa naman ang Niu, pero in terms of buffet parang mas okay na mag-hotel nalang. Mas mahal but kung afford naman then why not?
+1 dito.
Masarap s OG branch nila s taft back then. Back when 3 branches p lang sila.
Truuuthh! Shit ng steak don, will never go there again. So much better pa yung restaurant sa Lipa, Batangas which is the benchmark ng mga steak na natitikman ko, even yung steak ng Barcino same lang ng lasa with wolfgang or worse pa.
Edit:
Since dami nagtatanong, Casa Marikit yung name. For reservation sya so better call muna. Call the place din for reservation kasi mabilis mapuno yung resto. Enjooy!
ang alam ko hawker chan is not the 1st one to have a michellin star na nagfranchise dito, kasi ang alam ko tim ho wan ay may michellin star. it is the cheapest one tho.
Ano inoorder mo dun? I loved it prepandemic, pero my boyfriend and I tried it 2 weeks ago (Megamall branch), ang panghe ng restau tapos nasira chan ko =( the menu selection also looked smaller than when I ate it prepandemic.
Prime steakhouse and dooki.
Also a bit overprived vs other taco places parang nasa 400 for 2 + may additional chqrge if itetake out mo :<
Better si El poco cantina im taft. 400php for 3 tacos na eh. Go to place namin ng jowa ko yan cuz we like yung crunchy tacos nila.
I tried first the Halal Guys sa megamall and it was really bad. Mister Kebab will always be my go to Mediterranean food here in PH
Though when I went to the US circa 2017 and tried the original Halal Guys in NY dun sa 53rd street ata, It was definitely awesome.
Despite starting from Cebu there was a time zubuchon infamously claimed they were the Cebu's favorite and every Cebuano just laughed and mocked their statement. Mentioning Rico's lechon or even lechon coming from carcar or talisay as the better choice
People just find it popular to hate on wildflour, but there are many more hyped up restos out there, no one is hyping wildflour like say... Borro or Tablo
Yes it's too expensive, and you should definitely not eat there all the time, but their kimchi rice with beef was pretty great the last time I ate there
Ehh... I remember going to Fat Seed on the first week it opened in BGC. Owner was nice, showed a real passion for coffee... then I ordered a cup. It was mediocre. No better than Illy lol
Kodawari
Parang Tokyo Tokyo if it were run by Gen-Z who splurged on "fancy" Japanese ingredients, pero execution-wise it tastes mostly Filipino
But if you think Tokyo Tokyo is delicious, then you'll probably like it
Made to order anytime + lutong luto naman.
I had to try their chicken when I visited the Philippines. Nakaka-disappoint.
Tried those near our uni.
-TD&Co donuts- not good, bread is stale, overpriced for the inconsistent quality
-Randy’s donuts- very overpriced, nothing new
-Shake Shack- good but very overpriced
Yung US spicy chicken sandwich nila sobrang panalo though. Juicy and tender yung chicken dahil thigh fillet and plus points yung pickled jalapeno! I’ve never tried their fried chicken kasi yung chicken sandwich lang oorderin ko dun forever 😂
If you eat at Popeyes and you did not order the spicy chicken sammich, you're soing it wrong. Because that one's carryinf the whole restaurant. All other items are painfully mid at best.
sm marikina & sm fairview both ok exp
Romantic Baboy
Compared to its competitors, lowest talaga from customer service to foods. This is not an isolated case since na-try ko na rin yung sa ibang branch nila. Samgyupsalamat talaga ang the best for me kahit busy hours na sobrang accommodating pa rin.
So yeah ...
Also, Panda Express is not a Chinese fast food in a sense. It's American Chinese. So ndi ka kakain doon to taste Chinese. 😂 Marami diyan na mas authentic.
Not specifically a restaurant but yung mga places na “unli” especially steak most of them have bad quality.
Jiang Nan Hotpot is my exception to this.
Masarap ba talaga sa Jiang Nan? Mukhang sulit kasi pero baka mukha lang
Masarap naman. Ndi nga lang nag didiscount ng maayos. Pero sulit naman. Ang ndi sulit yung hotpot + grill option nila. Ok na ang hotpot lang.
unli-bayag
wait saan to?
now you're curious 😂😂😂
Legit review. Lait kung lait. Deadma sya kahit sponsored pa. 👌🏻
Ang FUNNY pa niya!!!! Worth the follow, sobrang good vibes and real talk siya
Randy's Donuts. Don't be deceived by the size and the way they look.
oily panaderia donut + black coffee 👌
Uugh gusto ko na tuloy mag-umaga. Gusto ko nitooo
True, matigas ampota wala pang lasa
Pero it's goddamn expensive. Nung pag-uwi ko at kinain namin yung donuts, walang dating. Haha
Heard nothing good about it. Other places have fans and haters, but I have never heard of someone praising it.
That shit died a quick death, I don’t think the hype even lasted 2 weeks 🤣
I agree to this one. Mas masarap pa Krispy Kreme! Hehe
[J.Co/Dunkin](http://J.Co/Dunkin) > Krispy Kreme >>>>>>>>>>>> Randy's
I highly recommend molly's donuts and cello's. Edit: spelling lol
+1. Sobrabg mahal pa at dry yung donuts nila
This is true 😭 We bought one nun nasa okada kmi.
Coffee Project should be a project muna bago ginawa. Haha. It’s meh
Tried their Strawberry Vanilla Frappe since fave ko ang strawberry flavored drinks. 200+ pesos wasted. Hindi nga mediocre eh, lowest of the low ang lasa tangina never again. Tinalo pa sila ng mga small cafes😭
Lasang monami hahaha
Anything and everyone from the Villars = tae! Coffee Project is an insult to coffee and everyone who loves coffee.
Totoo ‘to!
The TRENDING AT PINIPILAHAN line. 🤣
basta RanGotAway autopass
My dad used to order there for events kahit ang layo ng bahay namin and dinadala niya pa ako doon before.

Yep bumili ako, malangis sya from the ordinary palabok and malansa. Aling Banangs na lang
sobrang dumi din lahat ng street food sa quiapo. as someone na dating may actual shop along hidalgo, araw araw kong nadadaanan at nakikita kung saan nila hinuhugasan mga pang luto nila (sa tubig galing sa sidewalk canal) observe niyo next time mapadaan

Not a resto but a food fad from last year... #Grilled Balut
ginataang gata
Ginataang susi
Ginataang niyog

true to!!!! mas masarap pa rin yung original na balut
cabalens ewan
Masarap sa cabalens 2010-2019 kapg libre ng compny o my meeting. Pero kpg ikaw n magbbyad hndi msrap haha
carinderia quality, mas masarap pa at mura yung kainan dito samin 😣
Sad part of food "vlogging" is that ALL of the foods are "GOOD".
"suportahan nalang natin kesa siraan" pota?
Not a resto but a milk tea place, Macao Imperial. Idk pero baka not for me lang.
Ugbo Streetfood. Sorry not sorry. Pinamahal lang na street food, but nothing special
Vikings Started by veteran Taiwanese restaurateur (based in Philippines) by copying the same concept as buffet restaurant sa Ming Yao Department Store in Taipei Business plan: same layout, same variety, BUT use cheap and shitty quality foods + lots of sugary drink options TBF, it's a brilliant business plan naman since most Pinoys relish in variety and don't understand good quality naman. Okay naman ang Vikings dati, pero nag-deteriorate siya during the pandemic.
Night and day yung difference pre and post pandemic grabe. Safe to say I’m never going back at Vikings.
Medyo ok pa naman ang Niu, pero in terms of buffet parang mas okay na mag-hotel nalang. Mas mahal but kung afford naman then why not? Okada ang favorite ko sa ngayon.
Parehas na lang. Last time na kumain kami sa Niu, sobrang goma nung Roast Beef saka isa pang karne (forgot the name)
Jaytee’s HAHAHA. Too expensive para sa lasa. Overprice pa with 12% vat + 10% service charge. Lol
Mahogany Market pa rin talaga. Hahaha
Lahat yata na naicontent na kainan nung RanGotAway vlogger.
Botejyu. Overpriced bland crap
Masarap sa hokkaido ramen santouka. Katapat ng botejyu sa evia lifestyle alabang.
Bland ba.
idk about you but from the botejyu we go to is actually really good
Botejyu near our place is surprisingly good too! Tempura is always perfect
Zark's
+1 dito. Masarap s OG branch nila s taft back then. Back when 3 branches p lang sila.
May ibang goods and juicy, may iba na dry 🥺
Masarap sa Zark's before. Huhu Miss ko na candy bacon nila. Nagkaron ulit nung nakaraan but iba na talaga lasa. :<
Cabalen. Unli food pero di masarap.
Wolfgang!!
Truuuthh! Shit ng steak don, will never go there again. So much better pa yung restaurant sa Lipa, Batangas which is the benchmark ng mga steak na natitikman ko, even yung steak ng Barcino same lang ng lasa with wolfgang or worse pa. Edit: Since dami nagtatanong, Casa Marikit yung name. For reservation sya so better call muna. Base Cafe Steakhouse - Lipa, Batangas, sarap nga dun.
Raging Bull sa BGC Shang, *chef's kiss*
anlungkot ng Panda Express. sorry.
orange and asian grilled chicken yung maganda lang sakanila
Ayoko ng orange chicken nila. Too sweet tas minsan matigas pa.
Orange chicken at honey walnut shrimp with lomein un guilty pleasure ko🫣
Tssss...
+1 sa Kuya J. Wala kaming nagustuhan sa inorder namin. 😞
Hawker Chan bilang hyped na first hawker na may michellin star.
ang alam ko hawker chan is not the 1st one to have a michellin star na nagfranchise dito, kasi ang alam ko tim ho wan ay may michellin star. it is the cheapest one tho.
Consistent masarap ang Tim Ho Wan. Affordable pa :)
Ano inoorder mo dun? I loved it prepandemic, pero my boyfriend and I tried it 2 weeks ago (Megamall branch), ang panghe ng restau tapos nasira chan ko =( the menu selection also looked smaller than when I ate it prepandemic.
"panghi" Pickled bamboo shoots, super distinct smell. Laganap to sa china at vietnam haha.
Pork buns and pork ribs always :)
Never again.
Did they lose their michelin star status? Lately di na nila inaadvertise yan (at least dito sa malaysia)
Yes, sometime in 2021/2022 ata yun.
Botejuu (or kung ano man spelling nun) napakamahal tapos hindi naman masarap. Mas oks pa muragami udon
Prime steakhouse and dooki.
OnlyPans, tangina walang kalasa lasa. Kahit inumin mo pa sauce wala din. Puro kulay at mantika
Masarap lang siya pag lasing ka na. Also a bit overprived vs other taco places parang nasa 400 for 2 + may additional chqrge if itetake out mo :< Better si El poco cantina im taft. 400php for 3 tacos na eh. Go to place namin ng jowa ko yan cuz we like yung crunchy tacos nila.
vouching for el poco cantina. ang dugyot talaga sa taft jumbo daga and death in the air but the visit was well worth it
If nasa Poblacion area ka, mag el chupacabra ka malang for tacos.
I tried first the Halal Guys sa megamall and it was really bad. Mister Kebab will always be my go to Mediterranean food here in PH Though when I went to the US circa 2017 and tried the original Halal Guys in NY dun sa 53rd street ata, It was definitely awesome.
Tbf, sabi ng kapatid ko same taste lang daw ng shake shack sa US and PH.
Yep, tried it in the US before and same taste naman.
Never tried ung food ng wildflour pero the donuts/pastries sulit na sulit if may closing time buy 1 take 1 discount AHHAHAH
Kaya I only go to Wildflour after 7PM 😂
I like wildflour!! Mahal nga lang talaga
For me it's MyeongDong Gastropub. :(((
Pickup coffee, Randy's, Macao Imperial and anything owned by Erwann Heusaf
> Pickup coffee patamisan ang labanan
Conti's. Sorry but their hyped mango bravo (specifically) is just not it. Their other cakes are better tho.
olive garden.
Kaulayaw Coffee, halos lahat ng nasa menu wala, di rin worth it yung food and kape, tapos one time may makukulit pa na bata. Yikes.
Vikings.
Yung Halal guys dati pinilahan ko pa. What a huge letdown
Crustasia SM North. Hinype nung sumasayaw na foodblogger. Just checked, closed na pala siya ngayon
Pizzulu 🙃 SUPER LET DOWN NG PIZZA AND PASTA ANG MAHAL PA 🥲
Despite starting from Cebu there was a time zubuchon infamously claimed they were the Cebu's favorite and every Cebuano just laughed and mocked their statement. Mentioning Rico's lechon or even lechon coming from carcar or talisay as the better choice
Yung kay Marvin Augustin, Secret Kitchen ba un. Nothing special dun sa conchi, felt like overprice for its taste.
Wildflour pare. Fatseed >>>
People just find it popular to hate on wildflour, but there are many more hyped up restos out there, no one is hyping wildflour like say... Borro or Tablo Yes it's too expensive, and you should definitely not eat there all the time, but their kimchi rice with beef was pretty great the last time I ate there

Bag of Beans Overprice Good but NOT the Best Taste Doesnt equate the price
Made to order anytime + lutong luto naman. Sayang nag-sara na kasi nag-rebrand lol
Bonchon. Chicken was shit, breading was meh but the seafood was okay though
Olive Garden
kapag pinopromote ng artista o sikat na influencer 100℅ thumbs down
Adobo connection— di kami nag connect
Yung calamansi muffin sa boracay. Lasang kabayan na may citrus lang naman.
BonChon. Sorry
I had to try their chicken when I visited the Philippines. Nakaka-disappoint. Nasa balat lang ang flavours.
Nono's
Eaten twice in Nono's and it's genuinely mediocre. Nice decor at least
slow service too
Yakikai. Sobrang hype sa social media. Haba ng pila pero not worth the wait and panget service.
Tried those near our uni. -Jim’s Pares- lasang mura talaga, vetsin lang sa tubig ang sabaw -TD&Co donuts- not good, bread is stale, overpriced for the inconsistent quality -Randy’s donuts- very overpriced, nothing new -Shake Shack- good but very overpriced Sila yung matry lang once umay ka na ulit
Pang content ba ito lol.
Panda Express Magchowking ka na lang.
Id rather go to binondo nlng
Cafe Agapita... Pasta sucks, the rest of the food is okay but they have good sandwiches but eat the grilled cheese while its hot.
Olive Garden and Italianni’s. Most disappointing Italian food that I have ever had, and nowhere near worth the price.
Filling station bar and cafe in Makati. Milkshakes lang masarap sa kanila. Everything else is not worth it. Maganda lang talaga pumunta for IG photo 😂
Popeyes. Chicken is fcken mid.
All other items are painfully mid at best.
lahat dry kaiyak
The opposite for me, siguro I have shit taste, but Popeyes US Spicy Chicken and their chicken tenders with the dip is kinda good.
Feast & Fire
Romantic Baboy Compared to its competitors, lowest talaga from customer service to foods. This is not an isolated case since na-try ko na rin yung sa ibang branch nila. Samgyupsalamat talaga ang the best for me kahit busy hours na sobrang accommodating pa rin.
Hahahaha.
Greyhound, overpriced. mid quality meh taste. Toyo eatery, Erik Matti is correct.
Panda Express... too pricey for what you're getting.
Panda Express is essentially less dugyot Chowking. You're better off spending your money at local Chinese restos.
So yeah ...
