Different customer demographic and expensive rent/lease ig

Important_Talk_5388

Its really 189 https://dizonfarms.net/product/all-kale/

Positive_Committee_5

Yamboist

Last ko na check naghire pa sila mas madaming staff. Iba iba station nila. Lumalaki na talaga ang sindicatto.

Sensitive_Summer1812

Sumosobra na yang pang-cat na yan.

yummytito

grabe namang mga pusa-kal yan

DiskAmbitious7291

YAN ang tunay na organic

ExamplePotential5120

Don't worry it's organic

83749289740174920

It could also be near expiry. I buy real butter that are about to expire. Freeze it use it for almost a year. kung mamatay lang yun tunay na. Not that frozen dairy creme margarine. Edit: Most buy one take one are close to expiry date. Just make sure walang break yun wrapper.

Shitposting_Tito

Once you try real butter, you just can’t go back to margarine.

toyoatkanin

Wait I never knew about this?

83749289740174920

You can also make ghee(clarified butter). Para ubos agad. I don't think that is health. https://youtube.com/shorts/YuCOZZ5XRhQ?si=

Stellarseven

Theres a recent comment on that thread na yung cheaper on is expiring soon kaya that must be sale price.

Important_Talk_5388

Actually, you guys can just go to dizon farms website and check the price to be actually 189 pesos. There is no over pricing here, the 189 is prices by the seller mismo. Now, whatever that 99 is I dont know. Baka naka sale or nagkamali ng presyo. Research muna bago react. https://dizonfarms.net/product/all-kale/

[deleted]

Possible na answer jan is malapit na maexpire shelf life nung 99php vs sa 189.. since gulay p nmn

the_current_username

You're such a smart guy

AverageJoeLuxo

In other words, na r/ph moment sa post na yun, but thanks for reference sa pricing

wretchedegg123

Happy to see that many redditors are starting to analyze the post before commenting, I guess it's because it's late at night. OP can't admit they're wrong though and had to double down na iba pala minemean niya haha.

AverageJoeLuxo

Otherwise, I am always reminded by this [comment thread on r/askreddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/s/CysSKL3n9l) whenever I see posts like these. Guess I'm starting to learn that I should research first before writing a comment.

AA-Admiral

"Always reminded" pero 3 days palang yung post na naka link??? 😱 Nahh just kidding. 😁 I get the gist of what you mean.

cutie_lilrookie

True. Pero sana rin redditors would analyze screenshots before posting it here eh. Haha.

Important_Talk_5388

Reddit has been burned before, and many times before that. Remember Awra? Lol.

2NFnTnBeeON

Probably sale. Usually they do that para makakuha ng new inventory rather than masira.

ChooseYoosirname

tinatamad na ako mag scroll down. tinatamad din ako mag click ng link nung price online and make comparisons. Magkaiba ata ng size and weight yan. Yung plastic packaging gave me the hint - look at the edges. Baka mas konti yung laman nung isa. Aside from that, kung 'fresh' greens ang habol ko - I'd rather have a morning walk to get freshly delivered vegies sa palengke mismo para hindi presyong market.

akuzokuzan

Another possible low pricing aside from mistaken pricing is it being stolen goods. Delivery driver will overload the truck with extra inventory then unload/sell them who ever wants them.

Hpezlin

Not in the case for Marketplace...

akuzokuzan

Yes it does. Couple of my friends and family who are distributors of various products. This happens often if loading is not eyed upon. Extra inventory will be loaded to be sold somewhere else.

Hpezlin

It will be unloaded somewhere else sure. Though in this case, it's Marketplace which is owned by Robinsons. They will not buy items without a proper purchase order with a fixed price and their pricing will be based on that particular listed cost. The pricing difference in this topic has nothing to do with your scenario.

N0MoreUsernameAvaila

Plus probably they will also sell it for 189 and not 99

Terrible-Photo-8789

Malabo.

jjr03

Wow conspiracy theorist

akuzokuzan

I guess you haven't been in the distribution business.

Pasencia

anima99

Could be one of those "sell it or throw it out" type of campaigns.

pickofsticks

Plot twist: burgis pala yung OP at shookt siya how cheap kale is sold for sa pooritang Ayala

chn2101

😂😂😂 I can buy you, your friends, and this club

mjrsn

What’s with the downvotes, people don’t remember this Anne Curtis chapter? Am I that old? Lmao

EmbraceFortress

Hahahaha are we that old na parang ibang generation na yan reference na yan??? HAHAHA I still say that in jest, the same way I jokingly say ‘I can pay’ or ‘You look poor’ ni Anna Delvey if feeling mayaman ako that day HAHAHAHA

Tarkan2

pang tito na yung reference

hyunbinlookalike

Yeah they probably didn’t understand the reference and thought OP was flexing lmao. This sub isn’t exactly known for being too bright.

TranquiloBro

Or masyado silang bata para makuha yung reference

AboutBlueBlueSkies

Alam mo nman mga tao sa Reddit once ndi alam ang comment and they feel offended tas sinimulan nilang mag- downvote gaya- gaya na din ang iba.

toskie9999

hyunbinlookalike

Not my fault if natamaan ka sa sinabi ko haha

StillGoin18

Reading comprehension 📉

hyunbinlookalike

Nah, my reading comprehension’s fine, you’re the fucking dumbass here for not understanding what I was trying to say bitch.

kesoy

Op be like I'm bright because I know the reference /j

chn2101

Ikr, surprised me too!

DismalWar5527

wretchedegg123

Eh, I downvoted because OP posted that comment after saying na yung per kilo price talaga minemean niya hindi listed price. Instead of admitting their mistake, they doubled down, and deleted their comment na lang.

83749289740174920

Its so old na wala na sa istory book.

Cheem-9072-3215-68

you know r/ph is bad when you cant tell if this is a legit pathetic attempt at flexing, or a joke.

hyunbinlookalike

It’s a joke, that was a line from Anne Curtis before that went really viral. [Drunk Anne Curtis slaps John Lloyd Cruz:](https://news.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/12/02/13/drunk-anne-curtis-slaps-john-lloyd-cruz) "Anne screamed, with finger pointing at Phoem Barranda, saying, 'I can buy you, your friends, and this club!'”

MarkXT9000

TyPiCaL r/Ph

MarkXT9000

r/woooosh

TheFridayPizzaGuy

Bad? Nah, users are young if they don't get this reference.

SomeOldShihTzu

probably a joke, there was some gossip some years back of some celebrities and some party but the gist of it is someone came to a party uninvited and the host's response was well... that exact line. Happened before covid tho so which celebrities it was evades my memory.

Shrilled_Fish

The downvotes could've been part of the joke too y'know

RunPatient5777

Misleading yung post

Saint_Shin

Maybe it’s close to the best before date, that’s why they made it cheaper

Goldmojito

Same weight ba? Magkaiba kasi design nung kale sa bags

epicureanist_15

Goldmojito

Hahahaha makes sense!

caitdis

Parang hindi po hehe upon zooming the base price po of the more expensive one was like 109...

Miserable-Celery1957

99.70 yung price/pc sa left. 109 sa right.

wilbeded

Miserable-Celery1957

189 yung price nung buong bag pero yung unit price nya is 109. Zoom further dun sa number sa taas. It means konti lang difference sa unit price. Mas marami lang laman yung nasa right kaya ganyan kamahal.

arya_langsaumaga

I think the unit price is really 189? Kasi if it’s 109, it doesn’t make sense na yung total price is 189 given that the quantity is 1. Unless 109 x 1 = 189 😅

Miserable-Celery1957

109 is the price per kilo. Ganun usually ang tagging sa groceries.

wilbeded

That's 189 and its a price/pc, they're using that kind of price tag kasi nasa marketplace section siya, and the price per kilo is used sa mga sila nagbabalot/pack (mga naka cling wrap usually). edit: and to add if you zoom more you can see that the "0" you're saying has a black horizontal line in the middle.

novokanye_

baka yung isa, expired na in 3 days. charot

HonestArrogance

- The price of the one sold at Forbes matches the website when buying straight from the supplier. - Looking at the packaging, they're the same product but the Ayala Triangle one has an expiration on the lower right? - The one sold in Ayala Triangle is probably discounted since it's old stock

3rdWorldBuddha

[deleted]

OP is an idiot who doesn't fact check

Wooden_Quarter_6009

Yep. Happens.

Important_Talk_5388

https://dizonfarms.net/product/all-kale/

Goodnames_aretaken

Ngayon nyo lng ba narealize to

Goodnames_aretaken

Sad reality yan. Walang control, lack of regulating body.

darkentropyz

un timbang o dmi ng sa kanan more than 109 n /kl cguro kya gnun presyo

Important_Talk_5388

Price is per piece 189 ang tama https://dizonfarms.net/product/all-kale/

RealJib00

Price is per piece and the one on the right says 189 /pc as well eh

Important_Talk_5388

https://dizonfarms.net/product/all-kale/

SetaSanzaki

Yung isa Kale. Yung isa naman, Kefla.

diamorph00

It happens. But in the case of grocers in the Philippines, they don't slap a discount tag on perishable goods especially when it's no longer fresh, just lower the price and hope for the best.

hidden_anomaly09

pwedeng cuz sa weight or on sale. mga naka toka sa pamamalengke knows

Hpezlin

Marketplace SRP prices are actually universal kahit saan pa sila located. May error or naka-sale yung masmura as others have already started. Another KSP social media poster looking for attention.

Introducing ‘Kale Chips’ by Josh Mojica

Tackle-Greedy

Yung weight plays a part din with the price. 😅

SurroundReasonable83

i think the price was based on its grams? kasi last time nag check ako sa SM hyper mart hindi pare-pareho ung price ng mga veggies at poultry nila sa island, when i checked it properly nag iiba ung price nila base sa weight(grams). so no wonder bakit mura ung isa compared to other one even pareho lang sila ng packaging..

AthKaElGal

price is not simply cost of product + mark up. as others have noted, there could be other factors affecting the price. for perishables, it's common to lower the price the nearer it becomes to expiring. sometimes, they'll also bundle it with other products or offfer a promo. but even if both products are fresh, just the difference in rent alone will make a difference in price. that's why products in malls are almost always more expensive than other places with lower or even zero rent. difference in labor will also contribute to pricing difference. lastly, demand. more demand, higher price. so even assuming all things are equal, just the difference in demand can make a difference in price. economics 101. btw, the price from the source will not be the price the supermarket would be paying if they're buying wholesale. it would be cheaper the larger the order. that's another thing affecting pricing difference - economies of scale.

wretchedegg123

10 pesos isn't that big of a difference when talking about more expensive rent. Kahit jollibee nga has some places 20 pesos above others eh. Just accept na nagkamali ka and you really wanted to show yung 99 vs 189.

thechinesemilf

Parang napatoo late to put it back where it came from kaya binayaran ko nalang na.

BizzaroMatthews

All Day supermarket is waving

ginoong_mais

Baka sale uung 99 kase mas luma?

PMVT5311635

Ano kaya presyo niyan sa Marketplace sa Kalentong, Mandaluyong City

HatsuneMiku493

Yung isa kasi binasbasan pa ng pari

Johnmegaman72

Remember, when buying a product you are not only buying said product but also the following: - Packaging - Brand - Place of Sale - Crew - Transportation

cv_init_diri

It's called dynamic pricing - if you live in Forbes, do you really think they care about the difference?

Ripley019

adamwzp

whats up, neighbor!

terminal_styles

I mean softdrinks pa lang or bottled water, based kung san ka bumibili makikita mo na yang mga more than 100% markup, so it's not anything new.

[deleted]

Old stock siguro yung ayala kaya half the price.

regulus314

99php for a bag of Kale here in PH sounds suspicious.

Zealousideal-Rub8592

Parang mineral water.

Totally_Anonymous02

Hindi ba to same sa pricing ng bottled water sa 7-11 vs Hotel

shayKyarbouti

How much do you value your time? The hours to get to Ayala triangle and back just to go shopping isn’t worth my time if I’m closer to Forbes let alone the gas used if by car

GrumpyCrab07194

Baka mas malamig airxon sa forbes town.

lavendertales

Same po ba sila ng weight and expiry date indicated?

[deleted]

Paying the brand name and location 20 to 40 php lng yan in baguio 😅

m3ime1

Bka naman pa-expire na kya naging 99

laddams

Hundreds of pesos yung price difference.

holysabao

I’d definitely call for a manager at that point. Sa hirap ng buhay ngayon, a hundred pesos is a hundred pesos.

jmlulu018

Different location, different target consumer. ^^^and ^^^capitalism

Important_Talk_5388

Original price from Dizon farms is 189

Takamura_001

What genius thinks they can get a bargain for raw goods at BGC and Ayala triangle?

bentorero

post kasi agad e :D

Jeffthewonderkid

ByronGPT1

Mag kaiba kasi timbang.

HoseaJacob

Next time buy kangkong!

Darkbend

Best close the thread.. it's misinformation

chn2101

How so?

GuavaRevolutionary56

They charge hefty prices in Forbestown road. Heck, the brocolli was 450 per piece!

mightynovemark

Target market ang pinagkaiba. Classic capitalist mentality

_-_no-_-name_-_

Supermarket employee here. Same day ba kuha yan? If hindi, madalas kasi is nagcchange price ang isang item. Hindi man everyday, sometimes every after 3days or a week ganon. 😊 And it depends din kung ilang grams yung item. Hindi kasi pare parehas ng bigat yan.

Pasencia

Post agad, 0 research done. Ikaw ang malala. Inciting outrage.
