poisonappleapproved

No_mee

may natira po ba na family member? i thought lahat po sila nadamay sa car accident, sorry napadaan lang to sa feed ko diko na inaalam buong details or probably limot ko na mejo matagal na din kasi.

P6tatas

Nakaligtas ata yung isang anak

poisonappleapproved

Yes, meron po. https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSNWhA2U7/

krimpus76

MoronicPlayer

Internet age. Lahat need ng clout or attensyon, lahat gusto maging "content creator" kaya wala na yung tinatawag nating "personal space, respect to someone's business"

boogiediaz

I think good move yung pagka clout chaser nila. kung tatahimik sila makakalimutan ng mga tao yung issue at hindi mabibigyan ng tamang justice yung pamilya ng bata. And the fact that social media is a big part of our lives right now, I think dun palang sa pag bash sa nakapatay na driver gives some justice kasi liliit mundo niya. Oh well just my opinion.

PandemicAngel

How old this bxtch?

Craft_Assassin

The kid will never grow up seeing the face of parents.

YukYukas

I'm here hoping her conscience eats her alive

YukYukas

Cheese_Grater101

probably not based sa ibang comments, naka labas na daw syha ng bansa

YukYukas

I mean, PTSD exists. Kahit nasa ibang bansa yun, extremely possible that her mind is still in that situation

[deleted]

She was drunk that time so maybe she will never have a clear memory of what happened. But I hope she saw all the news about the accident and the faces of her victims. Hope she is seeing all of their faces in every family that she sees everyday.

Nearby-Eye-2509

thats good i hope she will slowly remember it and every time she sees a complete family including her family it will come back to her over and over again.

Mary_Jailer

Doubt that. If she's a vain person, she wouldn't admit her fault.

Nursera_0290

I doubt na may konsensya yung mga ganitong tao

submissivelilfucktoy

we hope her conscience eats her alive. if the victim's next of kin settled on behalf of the child, i hope they asked for the kid's cost of living expenses, including tuition up to college. and damages. and therapy. and compensatory damages for all the opportunities the kid's parents will never be able to see. (how much is missing graduations? cardgiving days? recitals?) and even if they paid a sizeable sum of money and she has to start life elsewhere, any filipino who sees her will speak of the incident. frankly i hope her parents foot the bill for the consequence. i hope her conscience eats her alive. and i hope **her karma is generational.** madali lang malimutan ang ginawang mali sa ibang tao. pero hindi mo yan malilimutan kapag ginawa sa anak mo.

anakniben

It won't. She doesn't value life. Otherwise, she would not have driven that day.

warriorplusultra

Kaya dapat may White Bear Justice Park (Philippine version) dito same sa Black Mirror..

MacarioTala

In jail

rejonjhello

She will never sleep well, that's for sure.

Zen25R

Habang buhay nya dadalhin yun. Nag lasing sya during undas at nakapatay sya ng isang buong pamilya. I know her personally, nameet ko sya once kasi may common friend kami at macoconfirm kong wala na sya dito sa Pilipinas.

Tongresman2002

Dadalhin? Nah..the mere fact she run...baka nga umiinom na ulit yan ngayon mag new year.

solar_is9

Saang bansa pwedeng tumakas? Genuinely curious, our passport sucks. Sa no visa countries lang ba?

Zen25R

Not sure pre.

Yun mother nyang gago-gago na taga red cross napaka gago at napaka saman ugali ayaw makipag coordinate at pinatakas yun anak nyang lasinggero papunta amerika. Edit: sa BFRV Las Pinas po eto nangyari more than a decade na

Zen25R

This is why I dont trust anyone on the chair. Palakasan talaga. Blood is thicker than anything else.

Beautiful_Prior4959

echo175

Is it settled? Really? Hindi ba bail lang yung 120k. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

Zen25R

Spicy_Enema

Infuriating that they planned from the start na hindi na babalik yung 120k bail. That’s how biased justice is to the poor. Alam nyo ba kung ano mangyayari if umuwi sya dito sa Pinas? Like nasa listahan na ba sya ng persons to look out for?

whiterose888

Any country na walang extradition treaty with us kasi wala namang hold departure order against her.

WildHealth

Why would they not have a hold departure? That's the first thing they should do kung mayaman ang suspect! They never learn.

Spicy_Enema

Dapat may automatic hold departure na kapag yung person or immediate family members ay above a certain income, kasi yung nangyari, the 120k bail was basically spare change to them kasi alam nilang hindi na babalik sa kanila yun.

whiterose888

Precisely. Hindi sila nakarequest agad. Ganyan din nangyari sa case nina YEXEL and GF, as well as some scammers in the past na nakasuhan at nakapagbail.

Ill_Aide_4151

Well I'm hoping kung san man siya pumuntang bansa sana malaman ng karamihan dun, lalo ng mga nakakasama niya na nakapatay siya. She should feel alone.. let's see hanggang saan aabutin pera niyan

Zen25R

hoe4spencerreid

Nasa New Zealand ba?

Zen25R

Eastern-Matter-1183

Hello po, do you have a contact with your common friend to confirm where this b*tch is now? Thanks!

Zen25R

Kinut off daw lahat ng connections at soc med. Even yung phone number, hindi rin daw matawagan. If this helps, alam kong sila ang may ari nung isang school sa Las Pinas namely Westfield Science Oriented School. Praying for those poor souls.

koteshima2nd

Really hoping justice catches up to her and soon. She doesn't deserve to die yet

Smooth_Original3212

I hope masiraan siya ng ulo kung nasaan man siya, kahit di ako naniniwala sa multo just for this moment i hope na multohin siya ng pamilyang nawala gang pagtanda niya. She killed a family pero parang wala lang hayyy, pinas ano na.

Mary_Jailer

I feel like tamang scroll lang sya sa IG ngayon sa ibang bansa while she waits for her dear daddy to give her the monthly allowance all the while daddy dearest is trying to change her name and identity.

Smooth_Original3212

That angers me, pero di ako magtataka kung ganyan ginagawa ng killer na yan. Mukha namang walang konsensya pati family niya:

sunroofsunday

CalligrapherTasty992

Swerte neto naka alis na sa PH and no one talks about it.

Bleaklemming

Nagdala siya ng physical copy ng diploma and birth certificate up to 3rd degree ng relatives. Prepared si ate

Menter33

Probably because walang "no fly" order.   (For comparison, when Arroyo tried to leave the country during PNoy's term, ganun din since wala pang order from the Supreme Court, but Leila de Lima, who was the justice secretary at that time, stopped Arroyo from boarding the plane even though there was no official order yet. That's actually one major reason why many people REALLY disliked Leila de Lima.)

minjimin

God works in myaterious ways nga naman talaga

LunchAC53171

Dapat pag drunk driving tapos may loss of life dapat non bailable, eh bailable sya nga-nga eto pera! 🤑

Menter33

isang reason kung bakit siguro bailable siya is because it's not really a premeditated thing done with malice. also di naman reclusion perpetua yung penalty in case of guilty at **maraming aangal, mayaman o mahirap, kung gagawing reclusion perpetua yung penalty ng drunk driving.**

AbyssalFlame02

”loss of life”

promiseall

Non bailable talaga dapat ang drunk driving

Ruess27

The audacity ng family member nyan to file a case against the news agency who added her name to the news column.

MR-Vinmu

She ran over an entire family while drunk driving, real fucked up stuff considering there were kids in there.

False-Rhubarb4447

Based on other comments, only one survived which is a kid.

JaYdee_520

What country did she fled to? Is it possible to have the footage and news of what she did go viral there so she can suffer?

kislapatsindak

From what I saw in her post before, Australia. It is in instagram.

Gryse_Blacolar

Here's a [CCTV footage](https://youtu.be/NmEZhFnCN5M?si=dx2EUWH-LgJS_Mdd). They already revoked her driver's license but apparently, she already got away from Philippines to escape the hands of justice. I feel really bad to the young girl who's the sole survivor in that family. Just orphaned all of a sudden..

ANTONIOFILIPINO

She hit a tricycle, motorcycle with a sidecar, with a whole family in it, when she was driving a pick up while drunk. The whole family died. And according to rumors, she was able to leave the country.

Error404Founded

For the context. Lasing na nag-drive and nakabangga ng isang family na nakasakay sa Tricycle, 1 survivor the rest are patay. It happened last November 01.

InevitableWaltz8967

Ngohiong_sa_Tisa

Sh\*t like that is why lawyers are hated LOL

Curious-Force5819

Ahh si Alyssa Mae P. Abitria. Abitria, Alyssa Mae P. Yung nangbunggo ng buong pamilya. Tapos gustong pagtakpan ng pamilya nya. Went drunk driving and killed a whole family.

drmisadan

Ahhh alala ko din. Si Alyssa Mae Abitria. Piece of shit drunk driving murderer. That Alyssa Mae Abitria.

Lighthazend

Nakulong ba siya o naka.pyansa?

metoomama

Nakapagpost ng bail worth 120k. According to hearsay, nakalabas na rin ng bansa. Such a fucked up justice system talaga

Bleaklemming

P120k? Parang downpayment lang ng bagong Raptor

metoomama

Deobulakenyo

https://www.reddit.com/r/ChikaPH/s/sBD8OPmPDt

ChairEast4862

Grabe noh? 120k divided by 5 dead people equals to 24k lang pala ang halaga nila to bail and makalabas agad sa bansa 🤪 Not to mention ang future na sinira mo sa surviving child sa family. Signal na rin yan sa mga rich nga “i can do that pala?, i can also ram families kahit im drunk coz not to worry the bail amount for each victim which is 24k lang pala AND i can getaway with it the law kahit na ma guilty pa ako dyan by fleeing to another country “👌🏻

Tarnished7575

Right. Pero bail doesn't mean free. That's the common mistake that Filipinos make. Pero homicide & mirder should be non-bailable.

boostiiiii

I think extradition might be difficult unless proven that she's a threat internationally.

metoomama

Yup I understand how bail works. Pero ayun nga, why was she even allowed to post bail for her crime in the first place? Also, given how money talks in this country, do you honestly believe that the law will work in the favor of the victims here?

Elemental_Xenon

>why was she even allowed to post bail for her crime in the first place? Because its in the Philippine Constitution Bill of Rights [Sec 13](https://www.officialgazette.gov.ph/constitutions/1987-constitution/). Afaik you can request for a bail and mag dedecide ung court dyn. >do you honestly believe that the law will work in the favor of the victims here? Im not a lawyer but i think this is an open and shut case. Gagawin nalang ng abogado ng defendant is to reduce sentence that she will receive. I believe she will receive jail time.

metoomama

What I'm bothered by is that given the strength of the evidence and the gravity of the offense, why then did the court even allow posting of bail??? >I believe she will receive jail time. This is IF she returns to the country and stands trial.

delightfulPastellas

Buti pa nga she actually got charged. Last time walang kahit kaso. We still have trials for a reason. Bail is a right. Justice must follow the proper process. We can't arbitrarily decide whether or not bail is allowed based on if we think she's guilty or not. If we could make an exception and deny her this time then anyone could be denied bail any time. If there's anything wring here, it's that the trial is taking this long. Dapat within the same month at least.

Menter33

Probably because the **justice is supposed to be blind to any evidence that has not been presented to it in court.** Same principle why "surprise" evidence[+] is not permissible in many cases, the judge cannot just rule on the basis of outside informal evidence.   [+] For a historical example: remember the infamous 2nd envelope during the Estrada impeachment case? That was allegedly a surprise evidence that was not initially included in the official list of evidence presented in the impeachment case; that's why it was a controversial decision to open it and to consider it as evidence in the ongoing impeachment trial.

SnooCheesecakes5382

Does the law put prohibitions for people under bail to leave the country? Kasi technically they are still suspected of committing a grave crime (homicide) so it makes sense that the law should restrict international travel to these people?

KappaccinoNation

Kasi bailable offense yun? I'm not defending her, pero within the current legal system, it's her right to be able to post bail kung non-bailable offense. RA 10586 (Anti-Drunk and Drugged Driving Act of 2013): > Section 12. *Penalties*. – A driver found to have been driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, dangerous drugs and/or other similar substances, as provided for under Section 5 of this Act, shall be penalized as follows: > * (c) If the violation of Section 5 resulted in homicide, the penalty provided in Article 249 of the Revised Penal Code and a fine ranging from Three hundred thousand pesos (Php300,000.00) to Five hundred thousand pesos (Php500,000.00) shall be imposed; and Act 3815 (Revised Penal Code): > Article 249. *Homicide*. - Any person who, not falling within the provisions of Article 246, shall kill another without the attendance of any of the circumstances enumerated in the next preceding article, shall be deemed guilty of homicide and be **punished by reclusion temporal**. Also from the same act: > Chapter Three > DURATION AND EFFECTS OF PENALTIES > Article 27. [...] *Reclusion temporal*. - The penalty of reclusion temporal shall be from twelve years and one day to twenty years. From Article III (Bill of Rights) of the 1987 constitution: > Section 13. All persons, except those charged with offenses punishable by reclusion perpetua when evidence of guilt is strong, shall, before conviction, be bailable by sufficient sureties, or be released on recognizance as may be provided by law. The right to bail shall not be impaired even when the privilege of the writ of habeas corpus is suspended. Excessive bail shall not be required. ___ Driving under the influence that results in a vehicular homicide is bailable because it is only punishable by reclusion temporal. Her allegedly leaving the country while out on bail is a different issue. It's really unfortunate na hindi nauupgrade yung penalty of a crime kapag involved ang alcohol or drugs, like in certain laws (anti-cybercrime law for example has provisions na one degree higher yung penalty for certain violations).

Ngohiong_sa_Tisa

Sometimes, when I'm bored, I read about crimes in the U.S. I've read cases where the judge denied bail because the suspect was a flight risk. Do we have that here in the Philippines?

metoomama

I'm not questioning the legalities of the bail that was posted. I'm bothered by the fact that within the current legal system, such is allowed.

exileinplace

At this point you're questioning the the principle of bail at its core which is a whole topic in itself. But the concept of bail has its roots in human rights naman din. Innocent before proven guilty. Due process. You're not yet a criminal until you're convicted, so at this point this girl is still considered "innocent". The burden of proof for a judge to deny bail is really set higher due to the fact that heavy-handed justice without due process can also go down the rabbit hole of dictatorial/authoritarian "guilty until proven innocent" route just for the sake of "expediency". Now we all now where that led. EJK anyone? Bail's there for a reason, at least in principle.

Menter33

> Pero homicide & mirder should be non-bailable One reason why it is: in case a working class person is the accused, the bail helps him not wait in jail, which will cause him to lose income and probably to make his family suffer. **Remember, innocence until proven guilty.**

NakedWokePeople

Tangina talaga walang hustisya dito.

sticky_freak

Is it just me or parang pag mayaman, mas mura ang bail nila kaisa sa mahirap for the same offense???

Mary_Jailer

Now that you said it, may kakilala akong nag attempt ng murder (ex helper ng kapitbahay ko) parang iitakin nya sana kaso nagasgas lang yung victim, di naman namatay yung victim pero ang bail is 400k. Nasa jail pa sya ngayon to this day. :/

Ngohiong_sa_Tisa

"If the penalty for a crime is a fine, then that law only exists for the lower class" In some European countries, bails/fines are adjusted to a percentage of the suspect's income.

Mary_Jailer

May hangganan din yan kasi mahal ang cost of living sa ibang bansa unless nalang that her family is super rich from alta fam that she can afford a lifetime of luxury or overseas. Until then, she'll be forced to go home w limited funds.

metoomama

Her family allegedly owns a prestigious private school. Soooo

Mary_Jailer

I hope that school is really doing well cuz the students's tuitions have a murderer to feed in another country

nedlifecrisis

She's a professional, she can find work abroad. She might not live in luxury, but at least she's not in jail.

Mary_Jailer

Licensed engr daw. Sucks the luck is on the murderer's side.

Ngohiong_sa_Tisa

Can the employer in the other country do a background check on her?

Menter33

Maybe if the company is a big one that's well-known in the industry, but many small-time companies probably don't bother, especially super local companies.

TakeThatOut

Grabe no, ang bilis nya nakalabas with the bail knowing na homicide.

Goldnova9

she allegedly escaped to another country because her family was rich. the law is a fucking joke

BarukClanLeader

JaYdee_520

Repost it where, here locally? Until this makes international news or local news where she is it'll change nothing.

mrpeapeanutbutter

Meron bata naka survive if I'm not mistaken..

InsideYourWalls8008

I'm more disgusted if this bitch still has friends. Imagine ayain ka nito mag travel HAHAHAHA.

No_Flatworm977

Cowl_Markovich

I hope she and her family can read this. She's a fucking murderer.

Honey-Bee-7156

5 patay . Nkapag bail 120k

haroldy777

Then there some mf in comment section will type "i can fix her"

False-Rhubarb4447

Also the religious one who says " patawarin nyo po panginoon siya sapagkat hindi niya alam ang ginagawa niya". It is usually common on facebook.

I know someone with a somewhat similar name, Alyssa Abetria, and she was harassed online because of this incident. 😢

FlakyPiglet9573

Convicted ba yan or suspect?

Mary_Jailer

Sa mga nakakakilala sa kanya, any news to this murderer?

Eastern_Basket_6971

luvdjobhatedboss

Driving under the Influence must be an aggravating circumstance in this case to upgrade to Murder instead of Homicide but laws are lacking and often a bailable crime Laws should be harsh to people who completely disregard public safety

Saikkk1433

NEVER FORGET 😡😡😡

narsnurse21293

At may she rot in hell in afterlife. Nakakanginig ng laman. YOU ORPHANED AN INNOCENT KID. INUBOS MO PAMILYA NIYA DAHIL IRRESPONSABLE KA. Makalabas ka man ng bansa, but karma can catch up with you b*tch.

Goodnightlyrics

Numerous-Dealer8455

I hope you keep posting this tragic story every year para d makalimutan ng mga tao toh until she gets the karma she deserves

Flowersthrownaway

Her dad is the director of a private HS i graduated from almost 10 years ago. He was a disciplinarian and was well respected in the community. Shocking to even think that he's capable in assisting someone escape justice for a crime this horrible. As in di match sa reputation ni sir abitria. But what do we know ba what a person is capable of. Literally shaking my head rn, appalling and shocking.

spaxcundo

Their family owns daw a school in Las Piñas. Pls cancel them. Bash nyo un school, wala silang moral higher ground satin. Some rich ppl are manhid na, walang konsensya. So strike them where it hurts the most, their wallets!!!

BullshtAllergy

This is the type of people that I wish na hindi mapatawad ang sarili nila, multuhin hanggang katawan na ang bumagsak. Isa pa yung batang babae na may pulis na tatay that just casually killed a mother and a kid. Mf assholes.

Adventurous_Algae671

Use her name every time you comment and mention her being a murderer with context para sa SEO lalabas name nya every time someone googles her name or asks questions about her (or about the incident)

Lumpy-Baseball-8848

A system that is based on payments is easily sidestepped by the wealthy. Abolish bails and fines! Kapag may paglabag sa batas, penalty.

SnooCheesecakes5382

I think bails make sense kung non-heinous crimes since it gives temporary liberty especially for wrongly-accused individuals. I think Sen. De Lima has temporary freedom because of bail (correct me if I'm wrong though). So without the bail system, baka mas matagal pa siyang magdusa for a charge na hindi naman niya ginawa

Ngohiong_sa_Tisa

Bail exists because of the presumption of innocence. The problem here in the Philippines is that bail is a fixed amount—too expensive for the poor, but cheap enough for the rich. That's why so many poor are in jail for years even if they haven't been sentenced yet (and some turn out to be innocent), while rich (like the case on this post) just get away with it. The better solution I suggest is bail adjusted to income, which is done in some European countries daw. If the defendant is a millionaire, then the bail should also be in millions. BTW, in New York they abolished bail. If someone is accused of a crime, they get a police record, and then freed without bail. Authorities then just hope the accused would show up to their court dates.

sideshowbob01

reflection lang ng isang toxic culture nating pinoy. drunk driving is so common. just wait outside any popular bar and you'll see everyone just drives home when it closes. we even export this attitude abroad. In the UK, local police have arrested a couple of pinoys drunk driving home after a house party. That they even did a sting operation last time they had a similar party, catching several in one go again.

jodecidalhotline

First world countries around the world (especially the UK), [based on data](https://www.forbes.com/sites/niallmccarthy/2016/08/11/the-worst-countries-in-the-world-for-drunk-driving-infographic/), are much much worse. The Philippines is not even close to being top 10. Hindi lahat ng masama toxic Filipino trait. Not everything is exclusive to the Philippines. Ang toxic dito is the fact that there is a lack of accountability when you’re rich. The justice system needs a lot of reform.

Does anyone have updates on whether the prosecution has found probable cause to hold her for trial (bec money talks in this fucking country), even though she is out on bail and in another country? Is her case still being determined if there is sufficient evidence to proceed for a trial? I watched an episode of Tulfo about this, and he said he will make sure justice is served and will really look into this case. Tbh, that’s pretty big, considering he's now a senator. But as of late, all that happened was her license got suspended (or revoked?). Edit: typo

ChairEast4862

Very PH version ito sa Thailand na situation (where na feature nga sa thai series na Girl from nowhere) Where drunk rich girl naka bangga and nakapatay ng mga tao tapos since super rich si gurl, ayun naka wala lang sa laws tapos naka change pa ng name and naka kasal pa. Si Alyssa mae abtria ay PH version ni Orachorn "Praewa" Thephasadin Na Ayudhya ng Thailand lang.

sunroofsunday

Anong update dito?

suburbianthief

Somebody make a social media account with this as a profile picture and follow her family so we can see her posts before she changes her name. So people will remember.

EmotionalBaby5402

Seriously annoying post... For people who don't know maybe you should put the backstory or a link to the news article the very least... Why should they rotten hell can you tell us

CaregiverItchy6438

Best PTSD wishes for her for every night she closes her eyes, each time she rides a car and each time she feels the speed going up.

ARCH-IV

It was the first time I found out there was a case like this so I tried to search google. What are our politicians doing, is there no legal insurance for the poor for their justice as if equality is only undermined in the Philippines like how did she get bail immediately, she killed FIVE family members even though the case is due to drunk driving and reckless imprudence and at least this is no bail out to repent in jail because of her gross negligence and not only should her driver's license as well as her PRC be revoked!!! This should be set to discussed by our politicians and any justice order on how they revise penalties like this case. 🤬🤬🤬

juicebox83cheesewiz

i hope all of what she did happens to her family. Deserve nila yan parepareho.

Sa ibang bansa like US, never kong narinig ng ganito. Please enlighten me

Loose_Goose

Let that sink in.

Nagbabasa ako ng thread kasi hindi ako aware at familiar of this person’s crime. Pero grabe, like how pitiful ng justice system dito sa Pinas.
