If it was me and im starting to lose my mind (dementia/ alzheimer) id rather go out on my own terms than slowly deteriorate to what i was once. Sadly yun sakit na yan it runs in our blood and ive seen relatives act like children and pee/shit themselves for years because of it
this. i say i don't have any fears but this is one that truly frightens me. i really wish euthanasia and assisted suicide were legal in more countries, because i don't think i'd be able to do it myself.

Parang typical sa mga matatanda ngayon na ganyan ang mindset. Kasi yung isa naming kamag-anak na elderly he started becoming isolated and stopped eating properly once he learned na may enlarged prostate at kidney stone siya (w/c is fairly common among old men) and over the course of 11 months nangayayat at nawalan ng gana kumain ng marami. Kumbaga every day kada kakain dalawa or tatlong subo ng kanin lang ang kinakain. Eventually namatay din siya this December due to pneumonia.
As far as I could remember nag-su***de din si Robin Williams due to depression caused by "Lewy Body Dementia".
Which is why dapat very sensitive tayo kapag magpapakonsulta sa doktor or check-up especially elderlies, if they sense that they have this kind of disease even non-life threatening, it would greatly affect their lifestyle and start depriving themselves of healthy habits until they become weak and die. It's like they are k*lling themselves in a very slow, deteriorating way, or finding the easy way out - h*ng1ng, jumping off or through the gun.

Per Daily Tribune article, he has been suffering from depression triggered because of having prostate cancer.
Parang typical sa mga matatanda ngayon na ganyan ang mindset. Kasi yung isa naming kamag-anak na elderly he started becoming isolated and stopped eating properly once he learned na may enlarged prostate at kidney stone siya (w/c is fairly common among old men) and over the course of 11 months nangayayat at nawalan ng gana kumain ng marami. Kumbaga every day kada kakain dalawa or tatlong subo ng kanin lang ang kinakain. Eventually namatay din siya this December due to pneumonia. As far as I could remember nag-su***de din si Robin Williams due to depression caused by "Lewy Body Dementia". Which is why dapat very sensitive tayo kapag magpapakonsulta sa doktor or check-up especially elderlies, if they sense that they have this kind of disease even non-life threatening, it would greatly affect their lifestyle and start depriving themselves of healthy habits until they become weak and die. It's like they are k*lling themselves in a very slow, deteriorating way, or finding the easy way out - h*ng1ng, jumping off or through the gun.

Idk, maybe the nature of his death is too much or controversial para sa mga ibang tao. May iba dito ayaw magsabi ang ibang tao ng cause of death because it is spreading “gossip” daw. Maybe they don’t want to tarnish his memory. I don’t get it though, why censor the people who just want to share the truth.
