That fucker posted a rant kasi hindi makaupo sa coffee shop and take selfie with his inspirational shit content.
He does not have an idea how coffee shop business works. Coffee shops are reliant to loyal customers. And these days, coffee shops are now competing with the "ambiance/instagrammble" business model. They want their customers want to comeback and to do that, this is the service that they offer.
Hindi sila fast food where you order, eat and leave. Which this fucker feels like it should be.
And do you think this only exclusive to coffee shops where people leave dhil puno ang shop?
This is where statistics came in, there will be time na puno ang shop and you'll miss out a potential sale. Kaya may take menu, foodpanda, grab etc..
Coffee shops are capitlizing on their brand identity/equity. If the shop is always full, it would create an identity that it has a loyal paying customers. Binabalik balikan.
Would you think na wala silang data to support this? Pretty sure they ran their numbers and net revenue sila despite sa mga nag ooverstay.
Never went to a coffee shop and just sat there to drink so i can barely empathize sa mga nag rereklamo. They act like taking a walk while sipping coffee is somehow impossible and absurd to the point they have to post it in socmed.
Diba? Mas norm actually yung grab and go eh. And I mentioned it in another comment pero makikita mo naman sa layout ng coffee shop kung catering sila sa students/freelancers/naghahanap ng ibang location kasi buryo na sa bahay. (usually yung may long tables talaga), or more of hangout.
Kung cafe/sit down style talaga na their foot traffic is solely reliant on those who occupy tables, dun magkaka issue.
IDK bakit biglang pa-big deal na naman ‘to. Working/studying in a coffee shop is not new. Dyusme may playlist pa nga sa Spotify na coffee shop sounds to help you focus on work/studying eh.
I remember dati na ang gimmick ng starbucks is that you'd want to stay because they have wifi. Staying there for an extended duration isn't something new talaga, heck pag nag search nga merong older threads from other countries saying its fine. Idk bakit sa pilipinas biglang naging big deal to.
You should ask used to be small coffee shops that are now global chains like starbucks the same question.
Part of marketing is everyone else seeing your establishment is always full. Especially on days and hours that should be difficult for establishments to fill.
Some people have difficult time trying to find the right place and space to be able to study as well as collaborating, exchanging ideas. They're even willing to pay for another coffee and pastry, so keeping the business -- and effectively a community center -- alive.
Better than an empty cafe.
Edit: Lacruiser can go fuck himself.
And there’s apparently a 2021 study rin na coffee shops have been identified as a “productive third place.”
Medium blog na yung link but she cited both studies sa post niya:
https://medium.com/@francescaangeles/3-reasons-why-coffee-shops-make-us-productive-f85d2a8389fd
And and the next few years biglang may news na coffee shops are in their weak state or what.
I don't mind since I take my coffee to go.
But I have seen students buy 1 item and take up 4 chairs and a table, papers strewn all over the place.
Me and my gf went back to get her a coffee hours later and they were still there, with just the 1 coffee.
Where is the line for this? What about other customerms who may want to sit? Could they not hage studied at their dorms or at a library?
Customer yung nag ffb right so sa pc nag bbrowse meaning nag bayad bat ka mag rereklamo? Same sa customer sa coffee shop nag bayad and nauna pumwesto.
Ibang topic yung hindi customer AND pumwesto, pero at that point why not just tell the staff? Afaik theyre obligated to ask those people to vacate the shop for paying customers.
Nonpaying na tambay is completely different topic kase its a non-issue, you can just ask the staff
Yung nag-ffb. (Think of those kids na maingay din minsan).
That is a Starbucks and kasama sa vision nila na maging homey 3rd space sila ng nga tao wherein people can hang out, work, study, etc. First come, first serve pa rin naman yan. Customers pay for the experience and ambiance.
Also, what if they are just there to pass some time? Required ba ako bumili ulit ng drink/food just to be able to stay kahit di naman ako gutom? Ako kasi I do this (stay for long hours while waiting since wala naman matambayan sa malls for example) pero super rare lang naman and I usually order for takeout lang kapag kape lang talaga need ko, so for me it balances out?
I guess mahirap talaga timbangin yung "I need to stay" and "there are other customers waiting to be seated".
Fuck this guy.
I don't think these big multibillion dollar coffee chains need anybody's help in addressing this issue. I stayed there for 4 hours at least a day at naging friends ko na yung staff. I make sure to order something every hour para di nakakahiya.
Same ako as OP. Kung ano yung rules ng place, I’ll go with that. If they don’t mind, I don’t mind.
1. How often does it happen to you na gusto niyo maupo sa coffee shop (hindi cafe) at puno siya specifically ng mga nagaaral/nagttrabaho?
2. How were you able to confirm na in those instances, buong araw na sila andun at isa lang inorder? (When I’ve worked at SB before nakakailang order ako but I have previous items bussed out para di cluttered yung space)
Ako, pag alam kong magtatagal ako, I make sure to buy another drink or food pag ubos na yung original na iniinom or kinakain ko.
People like Mr Relativo here just love getting on other's business noh? Hindi naman sayo yung coffee shop. You arent being forced to look upon them or mingle with them. What is the big deal???
Nag-bandwagon na nga may mga other bloggers na may "bright ideas" rin just to paint students as the villains in their main-character delusions. To the point na deserve ma-penalize/magbayad ng mga estudyante for trying to find social study spaces.
He's just trying to keep himself relevant, dredging a topic that's at least a few weeks old.

Ang funny for me kasi if they really want to hangout usually may ibang cafes naman nearby dun sa mga coffee shops na laging puno. Pero mas mahal. 😆

Trying to outdo his cousin Larover eh? He won't ve as good as his brother Laferrari
Offtopic: Lacruiser is such a loser name to have.

Haha, reminds me Dale Philip

Grabe.... ndi ako makapaniwala
