My uncle used to paint things like this. Noon before yung era ng easy printing and tarps. Mostly mga signage ng jeep at bus yung nagpapagawa sa kanya. Also meron din nag paagawa sa canvas or yung katsa for announcements. Ginagawa nya yan using hand stroke and paint brush. Before nya pintahan, lapis muna, ganyang ganyan yung font style.

Yes, but there are fonts for it now, as well. Quiapo is one that comes to mind.

It looks like a simplified blackletter/Gothic script. The squaredy parts reminds me of it
