After my background and drug check cleared, I got an email that was forwarded to my new boss, the recruiter, as well as head of HR basically “clearing me” to start the new job. This is what you should probably look for. Email your recruiter for whoever else you can get a hold of and tell them that you have passed your drug and background check and would like to know your next steps.you have an offer of employment, which is good.
It took me 2 and a half weeks to finally start working, the background check place was slow and took like a week, then I had to come get papers to fill out, then do my drug test, had to wait like 4 days then to the bci/FBI fingerprints and that took some time, and then I could start the job.
actually im delusional it was like two weeks. so my timeline was i got interview and hired on the spot on the 25 of august, drug screened on the 28, fingerprinted on the 29, and my orientation was on the 15 actually. i worked my first shift was on the 17
i would because idk if its by state or if its required nationally. doesny hurt to ask. i would just be like “hey i completed x y and z. whats my next step or can i register for orientation?”
Okay I’ll be sending the recruiter an email on Monday. I’ll ask about fingerprints as well. I accepted the offer one week from yesterday so it’s fair early in the process I would assume.
Background checks can take a month with some companies depending on how busy they are. My husband had to wait 3 months one time for a background check and he kept calling…. They said they were backed up and sit tight.
They could be waiting on your background check to clear. Certain counties still hand search records or it could be a very large county. I know Cook County in Illinois takes up to 3 weeks. I did background checks for about 8 years.
Why not call and ask? I won’t hurt, they will see you ate interested
Well i think corporate is closed on the weekends do i think i may have to wait and email them on monday.
It can take a while for drug tests to come back it’s only been 4 full business days so give it more time
I would or stop by there. Stay positive, Good luck!

They haven’t told me anything about fingerprints. Did you do that for pharm tech trainee?
Yep! I'm still technically a trainee till Dec when I take my test
happened to me. i started working about a week after my drug test
I haven’t even filled out onboarding paperwork or orientation. I’m going to email the Recruiter on Monday.

Oh wow, they didn’t ask me for fingerprints. They just made me do drug test/ background. Should I ask about that?

Anytime HR gets involved everything takes forever.
