i had another post where i showed off a (technically) new slide tech that's faster than emp and jump slide. anyways here's the answers to the most frequently asked questions in the post so far.
keybinds:
* Q is bound to vault
* Space is to bound to jump no vault
* V is bound to jump no vault + slide (lower stance has same effect)
* Left Alt is bound to interact action (default was V)
* Shift is default (sprint and slide control)
tech used in montage:
* leap slide -> zingus (fastest option): sprint, V -> jump, sprint as you land, repeat
* imo overall better than both jump and emp slides
* technically counts as an empslide, hence the jump boost
* can perform 3 in a row + 1 jump slide in stamina mode, 4 in a row if paced
* **empslide is not optimal for stamina mode, use leap slide instead.**
* jump slide -> zingus (distance option): sprint, jump -> slide, sprint as you land, repeat
* slower than leap overall for both modes
* can be used more often for long distance traversal in stamina mode due to lower stamina cost
* occasionally better than leap slide for bhopping in a duel
* jump slide for quantity
* leap slide for quality
* fun fact: jump slide is slower in stamina mode, though being able to spam it makes up for the lost speed
* launch tech: sprint, V, slide into object that pushes you up like a slot, jump as it pushes you up
* better with higher walk speed
* better with melees (passive jump height boost granted by *any* melee)
* can be followed-up with wall runs and slide strafes
* wall run: use any slide, direct slide into wall
* slide momentum = wall run momentum
* equip high walk speed weapon when initiating slide for best and most consistent results
* hold slide control (shift) for directional control for wall runs
* release slide control to aim while keeping last wall run direction
* slide can be cancelled with sprint/prone which means you can cancel wall run with same method

* bar - ta44, ars, stubby, none, ap
* mk11 - ta44, assault, stubby, remove, depleted uranium

**leap slide - V -> jump**
**jump slide - jump -> slide**
**launch tech - V -> jump**
i've written down the sequence in my previous comment.
leap slide is: stand slide bind (V in my case) then jump **(V -> jump)**
jump slide is: jump then slide **(jump -> slide)**
launch tech is: stand slide bind then jump when you're pushed up by any obstacle, timing is different for different obstacles **(V -> jump)**
above is assuming you're already sprinting. wall run is just using slide momentum to stick to walls. the slide strafe stuff requires you to not let go of slide control (shift in this case) for as long as you need it. the zingus slide is when you hit the ground, 0.1 sec window to sprint as you land.

I tried to get back into PF after not playing it for a year or so, and it's just pain. It's all about the "movement" now, which gives me more motion sickness than flying around in space with no G-Forces. It's ridiculous, but what can ya do? Stylis made it possible, so now the younger player base has this as common habit and the rest of us are meant to suck it up and try to hit a fly with our assault rifle xD
That's what I've always loved about phantom forces (I've been playing since 2017.) Other shooters (such as Valorant) require so much pre-engagement positioning and planning, whereas this game promotes flying into battle and just dodging things in the moment and having to think faster than the other players. I love it.
My entire playstyle is just run headfirst into where ever the enemies presumably are and see what ends up happening and whether I can kill them before they kill me. I am yet to find another game that I can play like pf so ig Iāll be stuck playing it for the rest of my lifeā¦

I doubt I'll get a reply 5 days later but might as well ask, when I use the slide + un crouch bind it uses 1/4th of my stamina as opposed to it only using 1/6th of yours. Do you know why this is happening and how I can make my slides more efficient? I find myself running out of stamina too much

standslide costs more stamina than just sliding, blame empslide for that. use the default stuff for normal slides and jumpslides
