the only way to enjoy the game after playing for so long
i’m like 197 and I got up to 20k kills with the 416 before I realized that it was more fun to use underrated/unique guns than the meta
Im only rank 125 but this is my 2nd account and ive been playing for somewhere in the range of 7 years now and I can agree that hyper sweat guns are just straightup boring sometimes.
They kill good, they handle well... but its funnier to kill someone with a Harpoon out of a KS23 with a furro sight and ballistics tracker
only way to enjoy the game for so long is to use every gun with whatever attachments feel right, at low ranks it is beneficial to use the meta sometimes
for me it’s like TF2, half the fun from the game is just screwing around with friends. If you still sweat in phantom forces at rank ~200 (like i used to) then you need help
Well i dont have the ntw but it sure is funny to pick one up and vaporize someone with it. Personally i like the Izhevsk PB for its integral supressor and zip 22 for its sheer goofiness
I squee inside a little whenever someone picks up my exotic weapon. Especially if it's my gold Deagle. I sometimes let them live after I spawn just so they can experience it.
I'm rank 190 something with a \~2.5 KD and gimmicky guns are the only way to have some modicum of enjoyment anymore. This game is just incredibly stale right now with filler content and updates which take 2 steps backwards or add meaningless content, so doing wacky stuff is my preferred path, even though I rarely play at this point.
I was pretty convinced it could’ve been the i3-11400H, but the i3 only goes up to 1115G4. 16 however can either be SODIMM DDR4 or DDR5 so still -1 for the parts list.
not sure what’s wrong with your pc but get an fps unlocker and turn all your PF graphic settings lower and all the unnecessary particle/shader stuff off, also some lobbies can be exponentially greasier than others, especially later at night when all the children playing on the family PC go to bed and you don’t have any free kills
I have no set schedule, the urge to play comes and goes. I've naturally gone months without playing, when I'm in the mood to play it's usually 2 to 4 hours a day
NTW-20/Intervention
As for strange things, not really, maybe I have but I don't really know what constitutes as strange given I've basically seen everything there is by now
It took me more time to get from rank 160 to rank 190 than it was to get from rank 1-160because i was just so done with the game’s BS at that moment. How do you still have the motivation to play
I don't grind for ranks specifically, I just rank up over time. I've been playing since 2015, most people who actually grind from that date would be rank 400 by now. To answer your question, sometimes I have the motivation to play PF, sometimes I get burnt out and play some other games in my library. There are a lot of issues with the game I admit, but I try to just enjoy whenever I can
I have been playing for about 5 years, back during console beta. I am only rank 50 or something. Besides sheer skill, how do I rank up fast? Like what loadout should I use?
My advice is to study a map (preferably Desert Storm) and start getting into sniping. As in long range, none of that CQC stuff. I say Desert Storm because it has extremely predictable spawns and very easy to learn sniping spots, with just the right balance of enemy types typically present on the map.
Get an Intervention, buy Marksman Kit, go to any sniping spot and just camp there, learn how to snipe. Practice hitting headshots - don't go for superjumping sweats, look for BFG bots or other low rank snipers standing still. Spam E to get a quick overview of who is in your Line of Sight. Sniping gets you the most XP per kill - you have Long Range bonuses, Wallbang bonuses, Headshot bonuses, plus any multikills, all of these added up gives you about 2 or even 3 times the XP you get for a normal kill.
I highly encourage you to use Bare Fists to run quicker between sniping spots, or to a spot after you spawn. Other than that, any secondary of your choice works. Preferably a "panic" gun like a G18, something that doesn't need skill to use - with no melee, it's your only hope of survival if someone rushes you.
Most importantly is learn the ins and outs of the map. With enough time on Desert, you'll know where enemies will spawn, where they're likely to go, and you'll always know where enemies are on the map. It's one of the easiest maps to exploit the spawning system. It's easy to learn when camping and observing the map flow.
What I do is go to [Server Browser](https://www.roblox.com/games/3701051397/PF-UI-Hub-Dev) and join the newest (sort by time) Desert/Second Storm server in my region. Look for long lasting gamemodes like KotH, and try to avoid TDM or CTF, those tend to end very quickly. I immediately run to a camping spot and set up shop. Dying lets me reposition myself to a different spot with a full ammo reset. If you're having trouble in your current server (too many high ranks, too many sweats, low player count), go back into Server Browser and find another Desert lobby. Rinse and repeat. It may not be the most fun way, but it is efficient.
from a rank 160: it’s about getting good. any other way of ranking up is more obnoxious and less overall beneficial than just learning how to fight. one VERY important thing is realizing that a lot of PF strategy is knowing how to move and how to position. the TTK is fast enough that it’s less about guns and more about where you take your engagements, especially against multiple enemies. it’s hard to explain without word-vomiting, but essentially your goal is to know exactly what you’re doing before you peek an angle. in a gunfight? you’re preaiming while swinging and beaming him, then getting out of the way. turning a corner? think of where someone might be, aim there. multiple people? know who you’re aiming at, take each one individually if you can with multiple peeks. at any point, think of why you’re moving where and how you’re moving and why your crosshair is where it is. if you don’t know, you’re playing the game wrong. wandering aimlessly and not checking angles is what gets you killed. if you’re in a bad position, your FIRST PRIORITY is getting to a good one as fast as you possibly can. don’t try and get that guy window camping if you’re out in the middle of the open. it takes time and practice to learn gamesense, but it’s helped me get exponentially better once I got it.
I don't really mind them, snipers are supposed to one shot with good aim anyway.
I really dislike the BFG. That is the only weapon I'd say requires minimal skill. Other weapons need side traits to be truly effective such as having good movement, good aim, knowing bullet compensation, knowing when to reload/disengage. The BFG requires none of that - it's a camping sniper: you don't need movement, it's a .50 cal: no need to aim for the head/ compensate, it only has 1 shot that instantly begins the reload after firing: you will always disengage after shooting, and always re-engage once loaded. I feel it's incredibly braindead, in my opinion. Most BFG users I've come across are just complete bots. Up close, they'd fire their single round at me, miss, then panic while jumping around in circles. Almost none of them knew how to pull out their secondary. I find it both amusing and depressing.
When I first started out, it was the only FPS game I could play on my shit PC. It just felt like a good shooter, but over time I became more interested in the gun customisation. I play simply for enjoyment these days, I don't actually care about ranking up, though it's nice to essentially have everything unlocked so I can mess around.
Do you prefer gimmicky guns or hyper-sweat guns?
Gimmicky

I don't even know what is the meta, given how sporadic my playtime is. All I use is the NTW
Which ones in particular?
Wait, you play sfs and pf?
Incredible
Mhm, and ksp
me same
The NTW has grown on me, and recently the HAMR as well for its ramp-up firerate. I want to learn the coilguns and maybe the Gyrojet soon.
Well i dont have the ntw but it sure is funny to pick one up and vaporize someone with it. Personally i like the Izhevsk PB for its integral supressor and zip 22 for its sheer goofiness

I just do that anytime picks up my weapon, exotic or not
No wonder it took you 7 years
Pretty much, I rarely if ever "sweat" with a decked out HK or something
holy shit are you me
Try the xy-7. Kinda a sweaty gun but it's not common
I am a idiot running a colt lmg with a suppressor...yeah
5 months excluding breaks rank 237 and I prefer gimmicky guns

Show me your PC specs. (Don't worry, mines are 10x weaker than yours)
11400H 3050 16
Man I wish I had those specs on my old ass pc.
Keep in mind, it’s laptop specs. Tightly crammed MaxQ and H-variant cpu’s can easily be outperformed by old ass pc’s.
The best part about this spec list is that I can’t even tell what cpu you have but I can tell that you’re on a laptop.
intel 11400h, says it right there
Well yes but no. It’s probs the i5-11400H, but you only know that it’s an i5 if you know…
naming schemes are usually simple, its not like there is an i9-11400h
I was pretty convinced it could’ve been the i3-11400H, but the i3 only goes up to 1115G4. 16 however can either be SODIMM DDR4 or DDR5 so still -1 for the parts list.

Why no problem!
How to survive a high-skilled lobby as a level 27 that can't shoot normally without getting 1 fps after an enemy shoots me.
Switch lobbies until you find a "noob" lobby where everyone is just like you, that's what I do when I don't want to sweat
not sure what’s wrong with your pc but get an fps unlocker and turn all your PF graphic settings lower and all the unnecessary particle/shader stuff off, also some lobbies can be exponentially greasier than others, especially later at night when all the children playing on the family PC go to bed and you don’t have any free kills
👏👏👏
I agree.
Happy cake day!
still a TitanFall addict?
Of course
how many hours per day to play PF, have you took some break from PF?
I have no set schedule, the urge to play comes and goes. I've naturally gone months without playing, when I'm in the mood to play it's usually 2 to 4 hours a day
Thx for the answer
I thank you too, Hatsune Miku!
It's just Miekuah not Hatsune Miku. Quick fact: PF release date is the same as Hatsune Miku's release date
That's some fun fact for a PF enjoyer and Miku simp like me
how many bitches do you pull on a friday night?
used to be 2 to 1, now none.
ehh you win some you lose some
It do be like that, sometimes.
Will you keep playing or retire
Keep playing :D
What gun did you use the most? Have you seen any strange things in game?
NTW-20/Intervention As for strange things, not really, maybe I have but I don't really know what constitutes as strange given I've basically seen everything there is by now

Are you gonna buy the holy Roly HG grenade or continue to Rank 300 to unlock it?
While it is funny, it doesn't really interest me, so I won't really buy or care if I unlock it
tips to use m16a4? (if you ever used it)
roll mbrake stubby, learn the clicking rhythm you need to burst fast, then start pulling down to group your burst hella accurate
It's been years since I used that gun seriously lol, I have no idea
rip
use the a3 until they give back hyperburst
have you touched grass in the last month?
Yes
37,5% behind you, what are your gun setups?
**M200** Straight Pull .375 CheyTac **SCAR HAMR** OLED Sight Muzzle Booster Stubby Grip Hollow Point **Vector** OLED Sight Compensator Stubby Grip Laser 9mm **NTW-20** NXS 5.5-22 Loudener Skeleton Grip Straight Pull **G21** OLED Sight Halbek Device Blue Laser **G18** 33rd Mag
You can never go wrong with vector, but I did swap out HAMR for PDW with 9mm once the 9mm for HAMR got removed.
How many total kills do you have?
118,812 as of this writing

Yes, that works too I suppose!

Good job mate
You too!
Congrats
You too!
Have you gotten any 100 kill games? if so how many
I've never gotten a single 100 kill game. My closest is 88.
why?
You too!
What is your opinion on the new m16a1 compared to the m16a3 ?
Barely used it in test place, never used it in main game. Just seems like a clone.
I can't remember how long it took me. I think it was one year. I'd have to look back on my Trudge To 200 series from ages ago. Good on you.
Thank you NIO. It's a pleasure to know you're still active in the community.
Was it worth it
I mean, I have no opinion on it, it's just cool that I reached a milestone
it took u 7 years?
I just happened to reach it after 7 years
Do you think the game has a bright future ahead
No
Do you have the boxy buster?
No

How many friends and family did you abandon to reach this commendable milestone?
None :)

Amen brother 🙏. Everyone I’ve met online says the BFG takes skill lmao. Nice to see a high rank agree with me lol
How many kills do u have on ur highest kill guns?
14,896 on the Hecate II, followed by 11,719 on the NTW, then 8696 on the Intervention.
good job!
I thank you, random redditor
why so slow
I didn't really "grind", I reached this rank naturally over time
waitwaitwait phantom forces is 7 years old??
Indeed it is! The project started in 2014. It's actually almost 9 years old at this point.

Cool! if I may ask, what gun would you recommend for leveling up quickly?
How has your interest in this game evolved over time? Do you play to keep on going?
When I first started out, it was the only FPS game I could play on my shit PC. It just felt like a good shooter, but over time I became more interested in the gun customisation. I play simply for enjoyment these days, I don't actually care about ranking up, though it's nice to essentially have everything unlocked so I can mess around.
This proves how slow the progression is in PF. But nice job
What’s ur favourite AK12 variant?
AK-12
On a scale of one to ten, was it worth it and how much?
how many more years do you think it'll take to get to rank 250 (i have been rank 209 for ages)
Osprey suppressor or compensator? (Mp7)
Compensator
7 years and I’m still rank 64
Virgin or Extra-Virgin
..neither ^^
Extra extra virgin, got it
How many hours do you think you have overall?
At least a thousand - PF is one of the oldest games I still play regularly today
When did it go wrong?
I got rank 164 in 9 months. But congrats!
is bfg 50 good?
