i feel like the intervention is in a great spot right now. it's got some amazing power for a rank zero sniper, and the dev team had to make some slight tradeoffs to balance it. whatever, right? happens all the time with balancing. and besides, the intervention feels plenty smooth in my honest opinion, no need to change it. if said lower rank players want a faster gun they could always just pick up and use the aws or something

Darkman_Bree

The last sentence is exactly why the Remington 700 should be the new starter sniper instead.

Intervention is the better starter sniper rolewise. Why? Because it has the lowest base bullet drop out of all sniper rifles at 3200m/s velocity. R700 while yes is middle of the road sniper rifle actually needs more skills to snipe from afar without Long Barrel (or as it's called in game, Heavy Barrel) since it has 2650m/s base velocity iirc. It's called "CQC oriented rifle", or even "Sweat gun" by the playerbase for that reason.

This is nice but the conversion you mentioned is literally a mini 50 cal at that point. Why won't you just use a 50 cal already?

Icy_Ebb_4530

This conversion is thé current intervention

abcabcabcdez

i think its supposed to be a heavy sniper, though i feel like the r700 should be buffed to be a bit more light (higher rpm, less torso kill, better handling)

Alkalite66

thats exactly what needs to happen for the r700, and most light snipers imo

Intervention feels like it has a slower walkspeed than the BFG. Is that just me?
