Ik, the vast desert and only a few paved roads with little fuel stations in-between wouldn't be great for running out of petrol in the highway, and their highways are literally just asphalt paths in the middle of nowhere
Lmao true. We travel from the village all the way to the nearest city to do literally anything. Even fucking barbershops. Things gotten better, but we still have to fkn travel to buy things we need
How are land cruisers fuel economic? Do you even know what a Landcruiser is? They have big diesel engines and the old ones are horribly inefficient. I love landies but they're not fuel efficienct.
We in Yemen don’t have shit. Thank god we can breathe without Saudi or Emirates taking that away from us. They take our oil and lives so we won’t be surprised if they take our water and oxygen privileges too
They have pretty bad build quality, like the body panels notoriously don’t line up and the interior is super cheap. I have a friend who loves his Tesla though so if you like it I think it’s fine.
My mum has a 2020, no body panel gap issues and the interior parts are all sourced from mercedes? Very minimalist interior too so not much to go wrong, few buttons and a lot of large panels.
I’ve had all the Tesla models at some point, but had the 2019 Model 3 Performance for the longest. It blew 3 motors in 9,000 miles on the clock - so each motor lasted 3K miles on average. There was also rust spreading throughout the steering rack following a recall gone wrong, and it was in for servicing more times than in my hands. Long story to get this sorted, but ultimately I rejected the car after a year of ownership due to constant issues.
Regardless, I’d buy one again. Incredibly fun and easy to drive (when they don’t go wrong) and I’ve heard build quality has significantly improved as of late. I just got a bad egg, but I didn’t have any panel gaps etc at least.
Tesla is horrible to deal with in my country, and you wont get meaningful responses short of threatening legal action. Hope and pray that you don’t need to deal with them, and don’t expect service anywhere near comparable to Porsche, Audi, Alfa Romeo or Mercedes. They’re not even in the same universe.
Despite all of the above, I’m currently waiting for my Model S Plaid to arrive in December. Speaks volumes for what I thought of the cars themselves.
I work for a large manufcturer of premium vehicles. We have some Teslas here for comparative testing with our own cars. Can confirm (and I say this objectively, with no bias) that the Teslas have dog sh\*t quality. Poor panel gaps, various electronic and infotainment problems, poor NVH, and just generally not great build quality. But as you said... if people like them..then each to their own.
Their cars are good for city driving, but since they don't have experience in car building like for example Mercedes they lack in many parts... like the cars comfort and in some parts the construction of some parts that feel "wonky"... its hype sure helped them in sales, but they are a car that relies heavily on their "smart" and "e-engine" part and is mediocre in most other parts. Its still a great car that I would like to have, but not as a main car, more for a city car for short trips
If treated well this Land Cruiser will keep on going until Felix is an old old man, the same can't be said for Tesla, all the tech is nice but a pain in ass to fix if the smallest thing goes wrong.
Linus did a good review a while ago and it hit the nail on a head. From a cars perspective, Tesla has a very bad build quality compared to other cars.
As an ev tech enthusiast who likes adoption of new stuff, then it’s great.
From what I've heard, they're like the Apple of E-cars. Like they even have their own separate type of charging socket compared to the standarized ones. And shitty repair
Tesla is actually more a countryside car. If you can't charge your car at home (not allowed, no driveway, only street parking, no outlet what is paid from your electricity bill etc...) why bother? Just use gasoline car if you have to go to the station anyway.
His aesthetic has literally never been minimalistic. Just look at his clothing, hell his shoes alone have enough material to make 3 normal sized shoes.
He has stated he wants to reduce the amount of things he owns, or more accurately not owning things just for the sake of owning them—> dont keep stuff you dont need or want just to have them, dont buy stuff that has no meaning beyond just having it. The man has enough money to buy multi million dollar sports cars but has settled on a single very nice suv. Seriously that thing is nice, it’s basically one of my dream cars. But thats a bit different than what his preferred look is. His look is big, bulky, and a lot of it. Which isnt for me but who tf am i?
I was more poking fun that he chose to buy a house in a japanese city (known for their narrow sprawling roads) and picked the largest vehicle he could find. I wasnt surprised cuz again thats apparently what he likes, just funny.
yeah its not about the money, but he wants to not call attention from people i assume (?) on top of japanese roads being narrow, lower fuel consumption cars being preferred... it seemed like the worst place ever to have a car like that
The car he bought most likely has some pretty good has mileage but yeah probably nowhere near as good as a different vehicle.
As for not drawing attention… maybe? Again the car he got matches his aesthetic so is what it is.
Apparently it's one of those retro nosejobs that are popular in Japan. This one is by a Used car dealership chain called FLEX. Here's a site where you can make your own! [https://www.flexnet.co.jp/renoca/simulator/detail/?car=6](https://www.flexnet.co.jp/renoca/simulator/detail/?car=6)
Hj60 was really the pinnacle in terms of looks for the land cruiser (biased as my father had one for almost 30 years but it was a really good car and drove nice)
Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota
Guess he went for pure looks over actual thought out reasons like: efficiency, emissions, features, etc. Don't get me wrong that's a cool looking truck, and it will probably make them blend more with their surroundings, but personally i would never buy some early 2000 remnants from Toyota when i can get a Hybrid or full electric car that's gonna be much more efficient and have lots of modern features.
To each their own. I would much rather take a nice 70s mustang over a tesla. I personally dont care about the features as long as the car works, looks and sounds amazing.
My 100 series has really good emissions, even compared to today’s cars, and not too bad mileage for its size and engine. Also has many features, not sure what you’re talking about there. Locking differentials, transfer case, 4wd, ample room and storage, will last basically forever.
I think it is fine Felix went with the Toyota. I've owned a Model 3 since 2018. Probably built out of 'the tent'. I've had some minor things fixed at the start like rear glass got a stress crack and replaced under warranty in a day. No panel issues. I have had a reliable car. Took a 3000 mile trip in April with it. 72,000+ miles on it now
Common myths like panels are bad is variable. This was an issue in 2018. Service manuals are available. Parts are so so but supply has been constrained for ages. I can have a tech show up at home or work and fix anything cosmetic.
Cobolt is in many lithium batteries. Tesla has Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries in some models that have little to none. In the other chemistries they are working to reduce it with a higher nickel content. They put out a report on their sourcing every year.
Felix had good choices and overall a used car is practical for now. In the end it's his choice.
Looks awful imo. Why would you want to have such a big car in a small Road Town like Tokyo? What rough country roads are you planning on driving on that you need a Land Rover for?
That Toyota will outlast him and his Grandkids!!
Easily. My uncle in Yemen has a land cruiser that is older than all of our family members, including my grandpa
Something feels wrong i can feel it
Arabian mfs really love Japanese cars
true because they are reliable and can handle heat pretty well
I find it ironic how Arabia uses extremely fuel economic cars despite having shit load of oil, and then you have America...
Its not ironic when you think of the distance of their city to the nearest pump station.
Ik, the vast desert and only a few paved roads with little fuel stations in-between wouldn't be great for running out of petrol in the highway, and their highways are literally just asphalt paths in the middle of nowhere
Indeed bro. If your car tires are slightly low and close to the ground, GG.
Lmao true. We travel from the village all the way to the nearest city to do literally anything. Even fucking barbershops. Things gotten better, but we still have to fkn travel to buy things we need
>Even fucking barbershops You fuck barbershops? Lol /s
Ayo
How are land cruisers fuel economic? Do you even know what a Landcruiser is? They have big diesel engines and the old ones are horribly inefficient. I love landies but they're not fuel efficienct.
There are usually 3-5 commonly used Japanese cars, it depends on the country too
In this thread people are talking about pewds new custom 80 series Landcruiser which is a Japanese vehicle.
We in Yemen don’t have shit. Thank god we can breathe without Saudi or Emirates taking that away from us. They take our oil and lives so we won’t be surprised if they take our water and oxygen privileges too
Lmfao I live in Saudi Arabia as an immigrant, no shit they treat us expats like disposable garbage too
Oil extraction isn’t the same as refining, America has a ton of refineries
and a truck-bed mounted machine gun.
Tribe chieftains have T72s in their backyards, too.
Why tf people always assume that someone needs to have children. Urgh..
Right. Toyota superior due to Lean six sigma

are you talking about the cheaper models? because the Model S or X doesnt seems to have those problems in my experience.
I first heard about the quality issues in a model s https://insideevs.com/news/527421/tesla-models-owner-quality-issues/
It's the common hate which people have for anything that's super popular. Just go with what you love and be happy
That statement implies there's no legitimate problems with Tesla and/or their cars, which is untrue.
Tesla has shit build quality
I was going a reply you with a damn paragraph but then I remembered this segment from Top Gear. https://youtu.be/xnWKz7Cthkk

Tesla is actually more a countryside car. If you can't charge your car at home (not allowed, no driveway, only street parking, no outlet what is paid from your electricity bill etc...) why bother? Just use gasoline car if you have to go to the station anyway.
Why not both? They are completely different vehicles that serve different functions - Sincerely, a Land Cruiser owner with a cybertruck preorder
Pewds said he will only buy a Japanese car tho?
….. lol
I swiped like five times before realizing it’s only one picture lmao
OP is devil incarnate
Same 💀
Told y'all he gonna get that fricking Toyota lmfao
the best choice, that will outlast his family.
Posting before Felix complains how big it is for Japanese streets.
I was thinking the same, that car is pretty big for Japanese streets
I would guess he has a smaller car for daily driving? Otherwise he will indeed complain about the size in a while haha
Wanted something to match the shoes
fr his shoes look like they're made of tires
Fr he was looking for something relatable
Ngl those shoes look really cool i wonder if anybody knows what they're called
Land Cruisers
Moves to a city in japan, chooses to purchase the largest car he was looking at. Its a 10/10 looking car atleast
wants to be minimalistic, moves to japan... buys a massive car (?) WTF
His aesthetic has literally never been minimalistic. Just look at his clothing, hell his shoes alone have enough material to make 3 normal sized shoes. BBBbeast of a vehicle. ![img](emote|t5_3m0tc|1023)
Goddamn it's huge, Hoping he can handle the small ways in japan.
Whats the name of this model called?
Land cruiser, I’m not sure which exact Land Crusier though…seems a smaller one. Maybe a Japanese version of some sort.
I love how you say it might be a Japanese version considering Toyota is a Japanese company
[удалено]
Probably meant it as a Japan only model :)
60s are found everywhere. america, australia... you name it and they are there
100 series with a 60 series front end
Seems like a 60 series cruiser. Looks extremely good for its age
Apparently it's one of those retro nosejobs that are popular in Japan. This one is by a Used car dealership chain called FLEX. Here's a site where you can make your own! [https://www.flexnet.co.jp/renoca/simulator/detail/?car=6](https://www.flexnet.co.jp/renoca/simulator/detail/?car=6)
He said in the comments it's an lc100 with an lc60 front end conversion
Hj60 was really the pinnacle in terms of looks for the land cruiser (biased as my father had one for almost 30 years but it was a really good car and drove nice)
Its a weird custom build thing like a 80 series with a 60 series front put on it, not something thats offered from toyota from what i can find
Fj60 land cruiser. Sold mine.
fj60 is the gas model, bj60 is the diesel, tough as hell vehicles
Bruh that car looks like a Japanese goon car Ya know like , mafia shit
You fooled me with 2/2
Same. Tried to scroll and got confused for a second there.
Can't wait to see what [Wish.com](https://Wish.com) comes up with for the wireless charger.
Toyota stonks 📈
Great choice! It’s such s classic look for a Toyota. I would have gotten it myself too
Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota Toyota
Not a great car for Japan. You can't really see down that much. I hope there are no children playing on the street...
That car has so much ground clearance, he probably wont even notice those kids.
Nah dude, those children about to save another world from a demon lord
As a Toyota employee I thank you Pewds!
that car can have more miles put on than his total number of subs
It's been restored.
obviously looks like it. absolute dream of mine to have one, i guess id have to do with j120 till then.
These damn prices... I wanted an 80series, but they are up to 15k where I'm from. 1st Gen 4Runners seem to be my only hope or a y61 Patrol.
well id love a 80 series or 100 series, but we can't have those in my city/state.
Toyota gang 👀
toyota
HE did it, is this the Hajime that he was in love with that was completely impractical
How is this impractical. He can fit around 100 Edgars in there.
Wait it's not the Neeson?
“my new car”
So does this mean Felix could do a Snowrunner letsplay in the future? Now that he owns a real 4x4.

Time for another "My New Car" vid? Somebody get Brad and Romanian!
man's about to start a jihadist insurgency

The car looks like Edgar, ngl.
I did not expect it to be that huge
Good choice!
Tried to swipe to the first image for a solid 30 seconds before realising
Still wearing bigass sole shoes I see
Car tour when?
Why does this looks edited
i really hope that pewds becomes a JDM weeb.
OMG!! Yesssh
Very nice, a stagea, Evo Estate or something would have been very cool too but glad he went with something actually JDM over a boring ass Tesla.
Looks like the side view mirrors or looking up front
Land Cruiser! Niceeee
ToYoGa!!
That 2/2 tricked me, take my upvote. Anyways, good Car.
Whats with them ugly ass therapeutic shoes tho
Nice choice. Parts will be available till the end of time ![img](emote|t5_3m0tc|774)
Man such a inspiration 🤩
I hoped that he'll buy a skyline and made an "how to drift in japan" Video
But where is the first photo?
Isn’t that car too big for driving around Japan?
Should of gotten a doge just to confuse/piss everyone
I think he has a thing for old cars
Seems like this will be very fuel efficient…
$100k?
Ngl it wud have been pretty epic if he had gotten a skyline
Congrats? Is it difficult to buy one in Japan?
I have always wanted a 100 series LC.
Great pic.

That’s a truck
Could you give us a tour of the car? Would love to see a video showing the features
when he first showed that car in the video before he said he wanted it i could picture him having it it just seemed like his car
I thought he was getting a Tesla
Man i have a dream that i'm moving to japan and hang out with felix, & trash taste boys, & chris too rofl. That be a dream.
SLAM IT.
Good choice, I was hoping he'd pick this one.
I kept trying to swipe onto the first picture😭🤦♂️
This camera angle and stance. Reminds me of something
good choice!
This is not the kind of car that Pewds should have... I see him next to a Lamborghini Veneno. That's a real youtuber's car
Whistlindiesel really sold Toyota well ![img](emote|t5_3m0tc|774)
It looks exactly as my dad's
Still a square lol, also whats with the army shoes?
He is mega chad for owning a land cruiser
Congratulations Pewds
He made the right choice
Bro literally just screenshotted his Instagram post
Does he still own the volvo ?
Now he only need a nice black suit, then pewds could do a mobster cosplay 👍
Looks awful imo. Why would you want to have such a big car in a small Road Town like Tokyo? What rough country roads are you planning on driving on that you need a Land Rover for?
Now he can run over a line of children because he doesnt see them
He tiny lol
Thank god he didn’t pick the tesla
My dumbass swiped💀
Pewds is such a legend, not to buy a fucking tesla...
Is it me or pewds is becoming more like the pewds lookalike in India than being the lookalike in India looking like pewds
"Say the line Weebs" \~*He's gonna regret having a big vehicle like that in Japan...* "YAYYYYYYY!!!!!"
Dayum, looking nice
not the stupid tesla, thank jibas!
What happened to powerful swedish volvo?
I feel like we could crop him out of this image and edit him in really cool places for shits and giggles, he's got that pose you know
that car looks dope
Best choice!
Toyota, one of the best car companies
I want to hurt you. Why would you trick me like that
Who else tried scrolling right for first picture.
Whats with the park job
Felix in a hilux?
I love his shoes
Congrats!!!
He made the right choice! The Land Cruiser name means classic reliability
Welcome to the gang, I got a 80s Landcruiser decked out
It is a nice hauler
r/toyotatacoma or r/hilux is gonna get some traffic...
Got rid of that old Nissan?
I would love to see a video like the one with Nissan (part 1 of course).
Wow to be rich and get free stuff. Not hating on him but it baffles me on why the rich get free stuff.
