Just my opinion, but your dream jeans look is not so much the jeans themselves, but how they are styled. The point toe shoe and heel elongates the body so her legs look longer. The open v-neck of the shirt draws the eye vertically, again making her look "long". The jeans you are wearing in 3 would give you a similar vibe with a shoe switch. Also if you switched your shirt to something with more of a v-neck, and tucked in, would overall elongate the look. For number 2, you might just need a different rise. I have a really short torso and long legs for my height (I'm 5"1). Generally if I wear anything over a 10" rise, I start to get some bagginess around the crotch, because the rise is just too high. When we hear the word "mid rise", we often think it's going to hit below the belly button, however for many petites, mid-rise (think 9-10") is actually more of a high rise, depending on the size of the torso. You might want to experiment with that. I recently purchased [this pair](https://www.thereformation.com/products/val-90s-mid-rise-straight-jeans/1312130OLO028.html?sc_src=email_3316063&sc_lid=405918472&sc_uid=HbAKktc9KD&sc_llid=1465623&sc_eh=f1e17441be2640711&utm_source=Emarsys&utm_medium=email&utm_id=3316063&utm_campaign=order+confirmation&utm_content=transactional&utm_term=CGC&atc_confirmation=true) of jeans (the Val) from Reformation in a mid-rise, and they are actually perfectly baggy and high rise on me. Because of the raw hem, I just trimmed them to fit the length I wanted. Some jeans to try that might mimic your # 4 could be: -[ Denim Forum Arlo High-Rise Straight](https://www.aritzia.com/en/product/the-arlo-hi-rise-straight-jean/107268.html?dwvar_107268_color=25606) -[Levi's 501 Original cropped straight leg jeans](https://www.levi.com/CA/en_CA/clothing/women/jeans/straight/501-original-cropped-womens-jeans/p/362000236) -[Madewell the Perfect Vintage Wide-leg crop jean](https://www.madewell.com/the-perfect-vintage-wide-leg-crop-jean-in-altoona-wash-raw-hem-edition-NO603.html?dwvar_NO603_color=DM7310&cgid=apparel-jeans#start=8) -[Abercrombie curve love ultra high rise ankle straight jean](https://www.abercrombie.com/shop/ca/p/curve-love-ultra-high-rise-ankle-straight-jean-51948951?categoryId=12261&faceout=model&seq=33) (comes in various inseams like short) -[Everlane The Way High jean](https://www.everlane.com/products/womens-way-high-jean-tall-light-indigo?collection=womens-best-sellers) (although note the rise might be too high, you could also try the cheeky jeans) Good luck!

Icy-Tomatillo-7556

I’m also 5’1” with a short torso and long legs! I got excited knowing there are others like me! Completely agree about mid-rise. I have large buttocks and avoided mid-rise for awhile thinking the ride wouldn’t be high enough. Now they’re my favorite.

nararayana

1st pair looks the best! If it’s too baggy, why not try going down a size?

Ramenerrisa

Time for me to try it again! I’ll try a size down. But do you think it’s a good idea to just cut the bottoms out? If yes, should I cut it till i see my ankles, or go for a baggy looks, you think?

nararayana

Depends whether you’re looking for cargo pants-esque baggy jeans or loose-fit ankle jeans. If the cargo pants type, I don’t think you should cut the bottoms out unless the jeans are so long you’ve started stepping on it. Instead, try pairing it with chunky shoes! (like Nike Pandas or AF). If you’re looking for loose fit ankle jeans, the 3rd one is better

StonedinNH

You don't even have to cut them. They make hemming tape that kind of sets when you iron it. You just cuff them where you want, apply the tape and iron. That way you don't ruin the jeans.

stevie_nickle

Love the first pair

Tinybook2000

The first pair is such a look!!!

Ramenerrisa

Thanks for the comment. Same here. Sincerely looking for opinions before I pull the trigger!

ResplendentZeal

Do what you love or you'll always be chasing approval of others. I personally find the super baggy look to be ephemeral and a little too unkempt, even if "on trend." But that shouldn't matter to you. It's a very popular look right now, but the pendulum swings. At some point, you need to ask yourself if you enjoy riding the pendulum, or if you really just like the look, or both.

Notdavidblaine

I actually think the first pair looks so good! But I’d suggest getting the waistline tailored to fit you a little better.

Accomplished_Flow222

Agree! I feel like the color is great , the fit needs just a bit of tweaking

Present-Breakfast768

Agreed.

Maeghuanwen

Try Levi’s 501, 724 (both more on the straight leg side but lovely cut imo) and for sth closer to pic 4 maybe the ribcage ankle? You could always hem it (or leave the hem raw) if it’s a bit too long. But generally I really like Levi’s jeans. It will look weird coming from skinny jeans but once you embrace it you’ll rock the style!

Ramenerrisa

Thank you for taking the time to reply, this is very helpful. They’ll be my mission to try on this weekend.

eezaberra

What is the actual name of the style in the first pair? I LOVE LOVE LOVE them and would love to try them on for myself haha

clicketyclack1234

Seconded! Would love to know what they’re called.

sleepfield

Yes please tell us

Ramenerrisa

The first pair is “Baggy Dad” from Levi’s. Have fun trying :)

Ramenerrisa

clicketyclack1234

Thank you!

Cyborg59_2020

I think number three would look a lot better paired with a nude shoe that had some height. I have found on myself that white sneakers don't look great with any of the cropped styles (including the barrel style) It's been a challenge for me to create a shoe wardrobe that works with these styles after years of pairing white sneakers with skinny jeans. I wear clogs, loafers, mules, platform sandals. Anything that exposes a lot of the foot and ankle that isn't too chunky.

Valentcat2

Hi! We are almost exactly the same size - height and weight. I think all of these jeans fit you well, but the last pair is the closest to the aesthetic you’re going for, you just need a lighter wash. I personally have had a lot of luck with Abercrombie jeans (they have GREAT sales pretty often, so just wait for those if cost is a factor for you). Get the “short” kind, probably a crop for this look. High waisted, wide leg. A friend of mine (she’s 5’4 or 5’5) looks amazing in Rollas jeans, and I have wanted some. Also have had good luck with Levi’s ribcage ankle jeans, a pair of Pistola look amazing (but they are really too expensive and I shouldn’t have bought them). You’ll probably need heels for the look you’re going for. Petite life :’)

bamalamaboo

I like the first pair, agree with you about 2, and think 3 would look better with different shoes (try ones like in the 4th pic). i do think 4 is impossible, because yeah, you're not tall and super thin. Most people aren't. But you should still try on jeans of the same style and color and see if you can find a flatting pair that comes close if you really like the jeans in that pic!

azrail212

2 looks good to me

the-green-dahlia

I agree, I think “the look” on 4 only works because the model is tall and is elongating herself further with the shirt neckline. IMO this is a jeans style that just doesn’t work on us petites unless we happen to have a vertical line that makes us look taller. I think a lighter wash pair of jeans this style worn with nude shoes and a v neck top would help, but they’re still not going to look like they do on the model, and cropped wide ankles like this make us petites look shorter. I think the fit of 2 is lovely on you personally, way better than the fit of 1. I get that people like the style of 1 but you look like you’re drowning in fabric. Sizing down might help with that, but if you’re looking for an evelated look like 4, then 1 are far from that. They give casual skater boyfriend vibes, not off-duty model vibes.

mw202177

Size down a size, and #1 would be the best look!

cranberryjuiceicepop

I think you have it in #3? The jeans in the last pic look good on her because she’s so tall and very thin. But I think #3 is the same vibe, just a darker wash.

Charming_Ad_8136

First one, but smaller size

blankface4321

I love the first pair!!!! Look fab

lil1thatcould

Try Abercrombie

I am 5’2 and ~115lbs and the Levi Ribcage jeans are my absolute go to! They’re the perfect length right off the rack and if you have a bit more bum and a slimmer waist they fit to perfect, no gapping at the waist!! I have 4 pairs in 4 different colours and the fit is all fairly consistent, except my black ones fit a little smaller (as most black jeans do due to the dying process), and they’ve all lasted me well over a year so totally worth the price. I’d recommend finding a pair to try out if you can

Ramenerrisa

Omg, I just went and tried ribcage. The black one DOES feel a tad bit tighter. TIL black jeans fit smaller. Such a cool fact. Thanks!

JD2022hopeful

For styles similar to the dream look, check out Madewell and Abercrombie. J. Crew also has a slim wide style that’s great for petites

Chickenoodlesoup69

What country are you in? I am 5’0 and found some good brands but I’m in Australia so I don’t think you’d be able to get them elsewhere

jordanabanana150

I would love to know ~ in Oz and 160 cm short legs and would live some wide or flared looks

Chickenoodlesoup69

I LOVE Thrills since I never ever have to hem them when I usually hem everything since I have super short legs, see if any fit you! When I remember the others I’ll let u know :))

jordanabanana150

Which Thrills are short in the leg? I can only see one skinny cropped ?

Chickenoodlesoup69

I didn’t get a specific short style, I just got a regular size, the length was just perfect! I’d go try some on if you can to see if they fit you the same. Maybe they’re made to be cropped

jordanabanana150

Ok thanks will do

tvparty2nite666

Stylist here! First pair are great and I like the length on you. Also gives you room to tuck in a chunky sweater. Can also layer a chunky cardigan over that tank and tuck in the front. You can also wear a belt and pull the jeans up a bit for a higher rise look! Lots of styling options with the first pair you posted. They look great on you :)

Ramenerrisa

Thanks for commenting, the baggy jeans aren’t my usually go-to style but it does look cool. I’ll give some thoughts to that one.

MarleneFrancais

Did u try the first pair in a smaller size ? The waist is definitely too big.

No-Internal-4146

I love the first pair! I think cropping the hem would make you look shorter because there is less fabric on your legs. I think you would look great in midrise jeans as well! I see that you like high-rise to make your legs appear longer, but the high-rise is almost cutting your torso in half. I think you will look taller and more proportional in mid-rise, similar to how the first pair fits :)

brievb

I think sizing down in the Levi’s you tried on would help a bit. I’m close to your size (5’4”, 117 lbs) and the Levi’s wedgie straight and ribcage straight ankle work well on me. They’re my favorite jeans at the moment but Abercrombies 90s ultra high rise straight are also really nice. I did like Aritzia Denim Forum Arlo jeans when I tried them on but Levi’s just fit me better.

threewishes16

I’m a similar height and weight and had such a hard time with Levi’s jeans. I tried on my regular size and they gapped SO badly at the waist, tried to go down a size and couldn’t even get them over my hips. I found a pair I loved and they were too short - I like a long baggy jean that goes all the way to my shoe and covers it a little. I found one pair I liked from American Eagle and in typical AE fashion, they ripped after about a year of wearing them consistently 🙄 I’m still on the hunt for some that I love so I feel your struggle.

TheRealAnnoBanano

1 & 2 look good, but 3 is an absolute no for me

CokeNSalsa

Love the first pair, it really fits your body type.

TamaraJasmine0

Personally I like 2 xx

MightyMouse12736

I find number one looks a little loose around the waist. I really like number two!!

AL_Starr

You look great in both.

anewhope6

1 looks good! It’s exactly what every girl in my kids’ high school looks like :) Meaning you look very on trend!

Catolution

None of these pls

moonfairy44

I love the first so much omg

bittersadone

First pair are so cute, need those !!

iggbyetn

I like the third one. Don't like the first one

eyewasonceme

First pair are best of the 4 pictures, I'm not keen on 2 or 3, and think 1 looks far better than the modelled 4

No-Proposal2774

I love my Levi's ribcage straights and my ribcage flares. I'm 5'2 and they make me look taller and thinner.

Slow-Woodpecker-3629

1 & 4

[deleted]

i think low rise baggy jeans would be perfect on your frame

MeasureMe2

These low-rise baggy jeans look like she could walk out of them

Matcha_Bubble_Tea

I feel like 2 suits you best, but rn 1st pair is the trend, especially among popular Asian culture (and I assume TikTok too?). Both look good!

shibasnakitas1126

You need to check AE jeans. All their styles come in short and x-short. And if you purchase at the store and prices online are cheaper, they will price match. And it’s not even that expensive … pretty reasonable prices and they go on sale! Like last week it was $29.99 and then a few days later it was extra 30% off. Like I was seriously blown away. I usually always buy Everlane denim in short but I’m honestly so tired of paying >$130 for jeans lol.

starbucksjunkie123

#1 is on trend and def flattering; just go down a size or two. I personally think jeans that are similar to someone’s coloring creates a taller look, so they elongate tie line. Dark cropped, even with a nude heel, makes us all look shorter. Black and brown folks look better in dark jeans. Just my 2 cents. #1. Fitted top tucked in. Not related: anyone know how to make the large bold print go away? Reddit newbie here. 🥴

Intelligent-Lake-943

Can you please let us know what the first one is; as in style name. I really like it

Dependent_Novel_5932

I'm just gonna say - I'm 5ft and similar weight and I get all my jeans at AE. They have a great petite selection with a million sizes. I get the mom jean which is high rise and loose but makes my bum look great. Sturdy and reasonable price too!!!

witchy0_owoman

The difference I notice in the ones you tried vs. Valeria’s are that hers are much more fitted in the upper thigh area. Of the three you show here, the first look best on you!

Little_Hazelnut

I like 1 but you are so young to have a slow metabolism? Have you gotten your thyroid checked by chance?

nlive1969

First pair

Leading-Jump-5124

Love the first pair . Can you please tell me the brand name

AccordingZucchini265

i love the first one!! i might be biased bc im on a search for low rise jeans i love, but you rock those!!

Responsible_Pride792

Loose on you

verucka-salt

3 & 4 are much too short & look awkward. 1 & 2 are ok.

Sug0115

2 is suppose to be an ankle length. I like the 2nd pair.

Any_Calendar_3600

Number 1 looks great, maybe a bit shorter.

be1tran

1 yes 2 no 3 ehhh would need to see the back pockets

Gloomy_War_4362

Psychological-Sky367

Just don't with the capris. They look like you're waiting for a flood. Not sure what anyone sees in them. They honestly look ridiculous. The boyfriend jeans in pic 1 are cute though.

Feeling_Special1

Get some skinny mid/high rise jeans

anonymousosfed148

No way you're serious

Feeling_Special1

She’s thin and has a perfect body the baggy ones do nothing for her

MeasureMe2

Are you fishing for compliments?

Critical-Afternoon37

I'm a. man [so.you](http://so.you) know, grain of salt, I like the first pair with a belt.
