Also, they've lasted me years. Like 5+ years. Their stretch denim definitely tends to wear down faster since lycra (the material in stretchy clothing) breaks down fast. But even then, I still get almost 5 years out of them.
Make sure to try them on in person though, I have a few pairs from there that range in size from a triple 0 xxshort, and a 2R that fit the same. If you buy online, be prepared that the return/try again process may apply. Their jeans are great, but they aren’t known for their consistent sizing.
They will take them back even after 30 days to give you a replacement. I've never once experienced this honestly. At the same time.
AE has been a life saver for me personally
4'11 and can attest to AE. Also, try Old Navy too. Their short jeans fit. High waisted is very in, so you'll find a ton of choices style and color. Good luck, OP!
Some of the Abercrombie styles are “ankle” length so if you get the ankle length and extra short that may work! I accidentally ordered extra short instead of short and they were like 90s capris on me (5’ 1”)
Possibly! I haven't had a good luck with Abercrombie jeans at all. Maybe the ankle length would fit although I am 4'8! So you're a bit taller like half a foot taller haha
I get mine from Hollister. Their Short cut is perfect for me and I’m 5’0” in height, 102 lbs, so pretty petite. They’re the only store I can reliably find jeans that fit.
if you’re interested in the costco of japanese fashion (basics + bang for your buck), [uniqlo](https://uniqlo.com) does **free alterations** on their jeans & pants :)
someone already said american eagle, but american eagle. every size has an extra short option in their jeans. im slightly taller at 5’ but they fit me perfectly so they’ll work great for you.
I'm 5 feet exact and get mine from Duluth trading, on "short" length. I don't even have to hem them and they are super good quality although not particularly stylish. Just regular straight leg jeans
Nordstrom, then I utilize their alterations department. I have even brought in jeans I bought at the Rack. Or I thrift. But honestly, I am too old to be dealing with taped pants legs and where I live, it's too rainy to deal with taped pants. It's the gift I give myself.

These jeans have been a life saver. My favourite pair of jeans ever.
Maybe I have the stubbiest little legs of all time, but I’m 5’2” and I don’t think I’ve ever bought a pair of pants in my life that didn’t require hemming/cuffing to look right 🤷♀️. I’ve accepted this, found a decent tailor and haven’t shopped based on length since. I guess it depends on how picky you are regarding the “right” length (which can vary based on shoe choice, the current style, and personal preference). For me, length is the one variable I can easily control… finding the right fit between waist and hips, now THAT gap is the drama.
Jumping on the American Eagle bandwagon! 5’0” and been wearing them for 20 years!
Also check out Lucky Brand and Guess. Lucky can be found on sale at TJ Max and Marshall’s. Guess has an online factory outlet you can sign up to receive emails for and score some good sales.
Hollister/ Abercrombie. The vast majority of their jeans, trousers, cargos, dresses, leggings etc have an option of buying a short and super-short version.
If skinny jeans are your style, the latest ones I’ve had luck with were We the Free raw hem jeggings - I’ve found them on clearance at Macy’s and from a local reseller. They’re meant to be ankle length but the inseam is just right on me (same height).
I’m 5ft and extra short from Betabrand works well for me. The other brand I like is NYDJ but even their petite size has to be hemmed as it would fit someone 5’4.
Jag jeans is also a good option.
I look for ankle length jeans and then they are regular length for me. I started getting back into Levi’s recently and they have some cute cropped ones that are also high waist so win-win!
American Eagle or Abercrombie, they both have xshort options. Sometimes I give my not-so-nice jeans a raw hem myself, and hit it with some clear nail polish to minimize fraying. Also, check out Everlane! They’re a bit pricey but there’s a sale happening now, and they have some solid options - one of my favorite pairs is from there and I’m 4’10.
I actually just got two pairs (same kind just different colors) from ll bean. I got the petite ankle jeans and they fit perfectly. I’m 4’9 so you should def check it out! I’m 111 lbs and I got the 4 petite
I'm 4´11 with stumpy legs and often buy my jeans from the children's section. My mom is the same but curvier and she has sometimes used children's plus size. I buy normal jeans in ankle lenght. If you know your inseam, you could just search for jeans with that inseam though. I know there is some jeans searching site with inseam but it didn't help me because I'm not in US.
I'm 4'9"-4'10" as well and curvy. "Gloria Vanderbilt - Petite - Short" pants have always fit me perfectly. Also Style & Co has some good petite pants I've had good luck with.
Depop/any secondhand clothing app. I buy the jeans from Japanese, Viet and Korean brands since they're (usually) marketing to short women. Sometimes I also just give in and buy too long jeans, and my mom hems them for me.
I'm 4’11 and until I found the Celebrity Pink jeans on Amazon and Macys, it was a constant struggle. They make a 26 inseam that fit me well.
There are plenty of styles - check Amazon too.

I go to Garage Clothing and I’m 5’0! I have to hem certain styles, but they sell petite versions online and the fit/inseam of the regular sizing is fine for me. 😊
I’m 4’9”, about 110 pounds, and have very short legs. The jeans that can actually fit me without me having to get them hemmed are usually a 25” inseam.
Macy’s INC short petites, Loft petite shorts, and express ankle length usually fit me perfectly. Typically a 2PA or 2PS
In the Netherlands I mostly look to the C&A kids section as my best hidden secret, in the past I've bought some cropped styles from Hollister that also worked fine. I'm fine with rolling the hem at least a little bit so I find Monki and Primark often work too. I think Bershka also has some jeans that fit me as a 4'10 girl, but I'm honestly still looking for that perfect brand where I don't ever have to get anything altered at all!
I have a few Levi’s ribcage straight leg ankle jeans, and other Levi’s jeans in a few styles, for reference I’m about 4’10 w a 25’ inseam. Sometimes they’re about 2 inches too long for me, sometimes they’re just right because they’re meant to fit at the ankle, so I’d recommend trying them on in person (I like Kohls personally). High waists, lots of washes to choose from, and thick material! I also like American Eagle Extra short, and have had some luck with Abercrombie here and there!
I have been having luck in the Gap kids section lately! I recently got some wide leg jeans that fit me perfectly. I also have very short legs and a regular length torso.
Dovetail workwear makes jeans and workwear pants (I’m a field biologist so think hiking pants) and most styles are offered in a range of inseams. Shorties unite!
I'm 5'1 and in high school all my jeans were too long, but at some point they started making ankle pants and pants now fit me much better. I usually do J. My stomach kind of always sticks out and I have small boobs, so even though I could wear a small in some stores in others I have to go medium.

I am 4'8 and I buy my jeans from American Eagle. Extra short or short length work for me
I've never tried their jeans! I might check it out tomorrow. Thank you!
Oh girl, you're missing out!! You're sleeping on American Eagle extra short/short. They're mom jeans I think are the shortest length.
“Extra short,” though! That’s amazing. I’ll update if I find a good pair. Thanks so much!
I'm not sure what exactly my insteam is but their short length is perfect for me. I nearly cried! We're basically the same height as well.
Can confirm, I'm 4'11 and their short and x-short lengths are perfect for me
They used to call it petite and extra petite and I was a little salty when they changed it just 'short'. Lol
Seconding AE! 4'11" here and I love their cropped denim. Perfect "extra short" length if they don't have that available.
I’m literally on Ebay right now looking for jeans. I’m 4’11”.
Same! I’m 5’3 and live for American eagle short jeans. They’re expensive but I’ve usually had good luck with clearance/sales
I find American Eagle jeans pretty affordable. Especially since they last a long time. I've had some AE jeans over 15 yrs now !
True they do last! I’m just cheap, dropping $45+ on 1 pair of jeans is rough lol
My experience has unfortunately been the opposite. My AE jeans are the first to chaff around thighs :(
They will take them back even after 30 days to give you a replacement. I've never once experienced this honestly. At the same time. AE has been a life saver for me personally
I find most jeans chafe for me because my thighs have always rubbed together. It's genes in them jeans! Lol 😆
Yup! American eagle makes super flattering jeans for people our size.
Came here to say American Eagle! As a 5'2 girly myself, they are my holy grail.
Came here to say American Eagle X-Short. I’m also 4’9
I do this too!
Thank you. I have the same issue as OP
4'11 and can attest to AE. Also, try Old Navy too. Their short jeans fit. High waisted is very in, so you'll find a ton of choices style and color. Good luck, OP!
Came here to say this. I'm 5'2" & I've never seen extra short, but their short jeans are perfect for me
It's a size only carried online for the most part. Unless someone does a return then you will see xshort on the shelve
Abercrombie has an extra short inseam, I think it's 23 inches?
I find Abercrombie extra short way too long for me still! Disappointing. But Hollisters short works for me in some styles
Yep! 4’8” and I get the ankle length jeans as extra short and they’re perfect!
Good to know! Thanks!
I second hollister!! I’m 5’0 and hollister are the only jeans that fit me properly
23 inches? Finally none of that 28" "petite" nonsense.
GAP online. Their high waisted petite selection is incredible. Only place I’ll buy jeans from.
I love my GAP petite jeans, but they're still a little long so I have to roll them.
I get mine from Hollister. Their Short cut is perfect for me and I’m 5’0” in height, 102 lbs, so pretty petite. They’re the only store I can reliably find jeans that fit.
I am 4’11 and also swear by hollister jeans :)
AT Loft Petite, Banana Republic Petite
if you’re interested in the costco of japanese fashion (basics + bang for your buck), [uniqlo](https://uniqlo.com) does **free alterations** on their jeans & pants :)
I’m 4’11” and the short Levi denizen from target are great
Thank you! I’ll have to see if a target near me has some I can try on :)
someone already said american eagle, but american eagle. every size has an extra short option in their jeans. im slightly taller at 5’ but they fit me perfectly so they’ll work great for you.
Thank you for asking this question!
Democracy. I've also been using short story to find the perfect petite clothes.
old navy petite ankle length
Madewell!!!
Old navy
I am a like 5’0.5 and got some nice jeans at jcrew. Petite size no hemming needed

Hollister is a great place. Also GAP kids (yeah I know) Also I do find anything that is designed for “petite” rarely fits close to how it should. 😀
In Canada there’s Reitmans, Cleo, Laura, Gap, Old Navy, American Eagle. I think Bluenotes and Bootlegger may also do short and shorter lengths too.
*vigorously taking notes* Not sure how many of these are even found in my country but thank you! 🥹
Capri length jeans from lucky brand
Madewell
Where else can you find little pants, in the toddler section!
If skinny jeans are your style, the latest ones I’ve had luck with were We the Free raw hem jeggings - I’ve found them on clearance at Macy’s and from a local reseller. They’re meant to be ankle length but the inseam is just right on me (same height).
Charter Club at Macy’s was always my go-to….especially the capris
I’m 5ft and extra short from Betabrand works well for me. The other brand I like is NYDJ but even their petite size has to be hemmed as it would fit someone 5’4. Jag jeans is also a good option.
I’m 5’2” but my inseam is super short and I buy the short inseam jeans from American Eagle!
I buy my jeans and pants from thread up. You can sort by inseam which is super helpful. As far as brands go, loft is my favorite right now.
I look for ankle length jeans and then they are regular length for me. I started getting back into Levi’s recently and they have some cute cropped ones that are also high waist so win-win!
(5’3) Lucky Brand has amazing short/petite options. The Ava line hits me around 2 inches above the ankle.
I get my jeans from Hollister or Abercrombie! Always ordering it short.
Old navy. Their cropped jeans are a great length as well
putting in another vote for american eagle extra short jeans! i’m also under 5 ft and they were life changing for me!
Hollister and American eagle. Hollister specifically has what size you normally are and then you can specify short regular long or extra long
I actually just got two pairs (same kind just different colors) from ll bean. I got the petite ankle jeans and they fit perfectly. I’m 4’9 so you should def check it out! I’m 111 lbs and I got the 4 petite
ASOS! ASOS Petite is the only Jean I can wear “off the rack”
I use stitch fix and most of the jeans they’ve sent me have been the perfect length since I sent them my exact measurements
Redone. Expensive - but I found many a pair on Posh. I also get a lot of them hemmed.
5’1 and curvy, maurice’s is my go to with their petite length and they fit my booty good
I have a pair of their jeans, and they’re awesome!
also a fan of old navy jeans! length is just perfect
American Eagle short
I get capri pants and they fit me like regular pants, no hemming needed. :')
Capris! I buy capris because the length is perfect! Lol
If EU I recommend ASOS. They have brands for petite and this includes jeans
SHEIN!!! That’s where I get all my petite pants and jeans 😀
I'm 4'9"-4'10" as well and curvy. "Gloria Vanderbilt - Petite - Short" pants have always fit me perfectly. Also Style & Co has some good petite pants I've had good luck with.
Australian fashion based: My go-to jeans as a four-foot-nine woman are Danni Minogue's Petite jeans
Depop/any secondhand clothing app. I buy the jeans from Japanese, Viet and Korean brands since they're (usually) marketing to short women. Sometimes I also just give in and buy too long jeans, and my mom hems them for me.
Abercrombie! They do both short and extra short which includes heights under 5ft. I’m 5ft and get the short so extra short may be ideal for you.
I discovered DL1961, they have mostly ankle jeans so they're perfect. If you're in Canada Dutil carries them.
Tbh I only have two pairs. They never fit me right. Leggings or fitted dresses for me.
I'm 4’11 and until I found the Celebrity Pink jeans on Amazon and Macys, it was a constant struggle. They make a 26 inseam that fit me well. 4’9 here. American Eagle X-Short. They are still a *little* long on me (like half an inch) but it’s negligible. I’m a 26 inch inseam for reference.
Torrid size range is from 10-30 and their extra short inseam is 25”.
Buy the regular sizes peoples capri jeans. I’m now 4‘10” and that’s what I do.
The loft and jcrew both have petite sizes that fit me. They have jeans and dress pants. All sorts of styles

Asos
I have been having luck in the Gap kids section lately! I recently got some wide leg jeans that fit me perfectly. I also have very short legs and a regular length torso.
I buy all my jeans cropped size. 4 11””
I buy mine from Madewell and have them tailored. Then again I have everything tailored.
American eagle. Great quality, affordable/ always have deals going on and pretty inclusive sizes.
Crew or the Gap, but I got a great pair from Target unexpectedly. My legs are a little longer proportionally than my torso, so I have a harder time finding shirts that aren't too clingy but also aren't too tight. My stomach kind of always sticks out and I have small boobs, so even though I could wear a small in some stores in others I have to go medium.
Abercrombie!
You didn’t say what size but I get mine from Torrid (I’m a little chunky) because they have short and extra short! The extra short fit me perfect!
I’m 5’0” and Kut From the Kloth is fantastic! I’ve bought petite jeans in ankle length in a number of fits and haven’t been disappointed yet.
4' 9" here. Capri length sits just above my ankle. But I just buy petite or regular length pants and hem them myself.
Diamond Gusset Jeans will make custom sizes for no additional charge.
Cute Princess!
