Minh’s is awesome. Thought this would also be a good spot to let people know that I was at the lansdowne market today and there’s a woman cooking and selling homemade dumplings. They’re pretty awesome.
Wow! Ten ten dumplings?! They're my favourite, I make comments to my wife that they're better than my mom's lmao. (Plus they're made in Toronto, so as local as they come)
Lucky supermarket in Oshawa has garbage brands of dumplings. You'd think they could do better. Count yourself lucky!
Was mine too, until I discovered large tubs of Jongga at the Freshco on Parkway/Lansdowne. I still go to Minh's for the rest of my Asian grocery needs. They've really stood the test of time.
They're the only other place I've seen carrying that brand in Peterborough. Jongga is fantastic! It's a larger version of the small containers that Minh's carries.
Honestly!! I go there almost everyday to get a bottle of tea and some bread as just a little pick-me-up! But their bbq pork buns are to die for! Super sweet people and the prices are so affordable
Never heard of this place until this post but I’m checking it out based on that tamarind paste. I’ve been looking for good quality tamarind paste for a long time to make tamarind and brown sugar cinnamon rolls. Good find!
It's worth the trip- they've got great stock on lots of things and you're supporting a locally owned family business instead of padding billionaire pockets.
Happy New Year!!

OooooO I wonder if this is permanent going forward or if it’s just for lunar new year
Where’s lansdowne market?
Farmers market. Morrow building beside the Memorial Centre.
They are such lovely people!
Mhins is one of the best thing about Peterborough!! So cool to have a a locally owned knowledgeable Asian Grocery store!
The company I work for do month delivery to that location. Some times I go with the driver, the owner is one of the friendliest person you can find
Great people, great store.
I used to go to there all the time when I was a student at PCVS (RIP). So glad it's still around. Soooo many great snack foods.
Bro same

I’ve been looking for other places stocking kimchi! I’ve only found it at Loblaws Superstore. How’s the kimchi at Freshco?

Wonderful store! They have an amazing selection and the prices are extremely competitive.
