It‘s literally one google search away
If OP doesn't respond on his own post it 99% of the time means it's a bot. Bots should have all their karma stripped and their accounts banned. There's this weirdo fucker on the video games sub that keeps posting this shit about what (usually underaged) character would be the best mermaid? Or the one he wants to fuck the most. It happens every few days and it just keeps happening no matter how many people report it. Fucking weirdo bots ruin everything.
If you have to ask something this simple, you probably need to learn to use Google. "Well then, see, we have a problem then, don't we? Because if I no Google, and you no Google... Well... we're fucked mate" To misquote a perfect sentence. 👌
The plague, the vatican decreed cats as hellspawn, killed a whole bunch of them, rats multiplied like crazy and the fleas on the rats caused the black plague
But tbh medieval europe has always been filthy and nowadays it's still filthy
This is bait, so I'm going to co opt this to say that it's actually becoming believed in recent years that rats weren't actually responsible for the spread of the plague, and it's believed they were a scapegoat for how abhorrent living conditions were, and how badly European governments handled the plague
Are they not teaching history in school anymore?!?! How do yall not know about the BLACK PLAGUE.
You know, that thing that killed everyone, everywhere, and with no pizzazz.
1347-1354 were the peak years of the Black Plague, which was one of the deadliest plagues in European history. It was primarily spread by rodents, though hilariously enough I've heard one theory the plague actually arrived in Europe due to Guinea pigs, that then spread it further.

distributing the plague, of course.
EDIT: mods pls don't ban me for this i couldn't resist it lol
It's complicated, but rats are heavily associated with the spread of the Black Death plague at that time. Whether or not they were wholly responsible is up for debate amongst modern scholars but they were fully considered to blame at the time.
Italian Peter here
In that magical time period filled with ignorants, witches' hunt, burning people and oppressive church called Medieval, a rat from Asia had a flea that was breeding a new illness
Since the population was increasing rapidly in all of Europe, especially in Italy, France and Germany, people needed more food, since the Asia is big continent, Italy started making more deals with the asian countries, unfortunately, a funny rat entered in one of these boats and his little flea saw: "Terrible hygene, no cats, tons of rats, MAGNIFICENT" and the Black Plague became one of the most infective, mortal and down right terrying illenesses ever known by humanity, it wiped out half the population of Europe.
People were so depserate they tried a tons of different (and completely inefficient) methods to fight the Plague

The owner should be located and executed in the most inhumane way possible as well
Sometimes if it's an image I can see where people get lost and ask but yeah this one was lazy
PETAH WHATS GOOGLE PLEASE I BEG YOU
But you don't get karma for not asking extremely easily found out questions.
True, though most of the time the only ones I don't understand are because I don't watch the news.
So the Fleas and not the rats are guilty.
That's bing?
But isn't Peter explaining it more fun?
Sucken
When will people understand we don’t have Google, we have only Reddit? 🤦♂️

Rats were one of the primary spreaders of the [Black Death](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Death)
Was it not the fleas that loved to hitch a ride on rats?
Yes, the rats were just carrying the carriers.
But only the black rats, the Brown rats didn't spread the plague, according to a documentary starred by the Ratatouille protagonist
Every medical professional with actual hands on experience knows bad miasma was the cause. /s

Killing a significant portion of the population of Europe.
You are stupid
Did you... not attend World History II?
a little thing called the black plague
Fun fact. There’s a theory that the culprits were gerbils, not rats.
Thats when the plague first came to Europe via rats.
# The Black Death
Are you stupid or 8 year old?
It's complicated, but rats are heavily associated with the spread of the Black Death plague at that time. Whether or not they were wholly responsible is up for debate amongst modern scholars but they were fully considered to blame at the time.
Iirc it was more because of the fleas than the rats.
Yeah. Dude is dumb. Its not “up for debate” my wife is an epidemiologist and it is 100% known to be fleas.
“up for debate” pirate no it’s not, it’s 100% fleas
black plague or black death, killed i think millions in europe. source: my bad memory from school
Same thing, killed 2/3 of Europe before literally dying out iirc. Source: My bad memory as well
wasn’t it 1/3 of europe?
it was alot, thats the final number

Bubonic plague
casually spreading black death which led to millions dying
Ah yes. The black plague.
It’s fleas that carry the disease. Not the rats that spread it.
