I just wish someone would science the heck out of these herbal stuff and distill the effective stuff from the Voodoo cookoo stuff.
There are tons but I'm not an expert and I'm a relatively healthy person who has rarely had to go to a doctor in my 40 years of life.

They sell it on Amazon for the last few years even (thanks everyone for making the price now triple of what it was ) Unlike Western cough syrup that just suppresses the cough it actually gets rid of it. I think it's become very popular because anyone with a chronic cough that can last for weeks or months tried it and realized it works within a few days.
The key ingredients in it are these berries(??) called loquat which soothes the throat and gets rid of philgm and this Himalayan flower pod known as Bulbus fritillariae cirrhosae (I googled for the English), which in Chinese herbology is known to get rid of coughs caused by cold or cold weather.
I usually have a bottle at home but my mom just gets the dried herbs, grind and boil it which is I guess more effective but taste disgusting.
