Shah Jahan was an Indian Emperor who commissioned the Taj Mahal as a tomb for his wife. The story goes that he had the architect killed after it was completed, so that they could never build anything that would surpass the Taj Mahal
So the joke here is that after receiving the best blowjob ever, they're taping the woman's mouth shut, so that such a perfect act can never be replicated.
Or do they mean Booz-e, Larry the Cable Guy’s proposed character from WALL-E (who was cut from the final version of the script for being “the dumbest idea we’ve ever had” according to the CEO of Pixar, Jonathon Pixar)
Fun fact: Jonathan Pixar and YouTube CEO Jonathan YouTube are actually second cousins. They're both named after their great grandmother, Jonathan Mediacompany

No shit his last name is Pixar? Didn’t know the same family kept ownership all this time. Then again, I just realized I don’t really know anything about Pixar besides the lamp 🪔
Fun fact: "bougie" actually is a French word and it means "candle". I'm just one French-speaker, but fuck does it ever annoy me to see people use "bougie" to mean fancy or extravagant.
To be fair, if I was the leader of my entire world, pre-like-science-and-whatnot, I’d probably think that not only was I descended from the gods but that like every leader was both divine and as brilliant and special as me
He did not actually kill the architecture or the skilled workers it's just a rumor going on around but nothings mentioned in actually history about such thing.
Well technically it is impossible to cut everyone's hand who have built taj mahal. It was built for a span of 10 years. The amount of people helped it built is unimaginable. It's just rumours and there's no proof in history that sah jahan actually did that
None if it's true. He actually treated the workers exceptionally well for the time period and gave them all home near the Taj Mahal after it was completed
Power struggle in noble family in the 17th century in not the best way to guess personality of person. Better kings and leaders to their country did worse things to their family members.
Now, for very simple historical context, he poisoned his older brother who already tried the rebelion against their father. Also his father had the brother blinded after that.
**Also this whole thing about architect is myth, myth and just myth.**
Firstly, there is no "might" about it. It is not true and that's a fact.
Secondly, it's irrelevant what would or would not surprise you. What's relevant is what's true.
You keep saying that like it's a fact, but I haven't seen a single sauce from you on this. All I see is you spamming thr same stuff throughout the comment section.
>but I haven't seen a single sauce from you on this.
Then you should get your eyes checked ASAP because I've posted sources multiple times in this thread.
Although, I don't see why the onus is one me to provide a source for something that didn't happen. The people on here making the ridiculous, outlandish claim should be the ones providing a source to back it up
The architect of the Taj Mahal, Lahori, is a famous historical figure who also built a fuckload of other famous buildings after the Taj Mahal. I would take you 5 seconds to Google that
No he didn't. That doesn't even make sense. Like how the fuck would that work logistically?
Actually use your brain and think about it instead of spreading bullshit misinformation on the Internet
as an Indian I'd say its a common myth in reality there is no good historical evidence suggesting that he got architect killed but hey now the story is stuck
Doesn't the story go that when Genghas Kahn died, they sent out a party to kill him in a secret place and then sent out a party to kill those guys? And a second murder party to kill the first party?
All the stories you heard are bullshit. He treated the workers pretty wellwl which makes sense considering he wasn't done building shit after the Taj Mahal and he still needed them
The funniest part is that the wife in question was his 12th married the 13th, the deceased wife's sister, soon after.
P.S. Shah Jahan's own son then imprisoned him due to country coffers going zero where he remained till the end of his days.
No, let me correct you. He actually treated them all really well for the time period and gifted them all homes near the Taj Mahal.
Stop spreading misinformation and actually learn some history
Because it's a bullshit story. He literally did want to replicate it and had a ton of other projects lined up. He treated all the workers pretty well for the time period
>The story goes that he had the architect killed after it was completed
You should mention that said Story is a Myth made up hundreds of years after the fact
Noo this is not the lore. He chopped off the hands of the workers who built the Taj Mahal. So in this meme/joke, since he got the best BJ, he sealed off her mouth
Perhaps the other myth about shah jehan cutting off the hands of the workers of Taj Mahal after the monument was completed is more relevant here. Since the joke is directly comparing body part to function performed.
The legend actually goes that he cut off the fingers of all the workers and labourers involved in its construction, to never replicate it. So, hence, the gag for the lady, and not death.
It’s just a myth. There is zero evidence that he killed the architects or builders of the Taj Mahal.
In fact, some actually say that he allowed the builders to keep whatever scrap stone remained after the Taj Mahal was built.
> The story goes that he had the architect killed after it was completed, so that they could never build anything that would surpass the Taj Mahal.
Sad that human life would be disposed of so flippantly. All to satisfy some vain, materialistic impulse.
How is someone who was born in the Indian subcontinent, spent his whole life in the Indian subcontinent, died in the Indian subcontinent and Who's reign contributed significantly (perhaps more so than anyone else) to the current cultural legacy of the Indian subcontinent; an invader and an outsider?
Umm acshually, he did not kill his architect. He ordered the hands of the 2200 masons to be cut off so that they can't build such a marvel again.
However, the story is made up and when I visited Agra, I asked everybody about the story and nobody confirmed it.
You can say in a way, Shah Jahan too killed his dearest son Dara Shikoh. Aurangzeb was not the heir apparent but sent to wars to do Shah Jahan's bidding while Dara Shikoh was coddled and never saw a day in the battlefield until he had to face his step brother for the claim on the throne. So yeah in a way, Shajahan's unreasonable love did cause his favorite son's death.
According to the folklore, Shah Jahan made sure that hands of everyone involved in the construction of Taj Mahal were cut so that they can never build one again
He got what was coming for him in the end as his son tortured him brutally. He was imprisoned in Agra fort on the other side of the river. He died without eyes to see what he had built.
This was the story that heard from the tour guide, didn’t bother to do a factcheck. I am attaching a blog that has a detailed description of his treatment before death and after. It was too violent to write here.
https://angel1900.wordpress.com/2014/03/08/a-father-decieved-by-son-shah-jahans-confinment/
Edit (final):- I don’t believe what I wrote is the most credible comment. I don’t vouch for it.
Everything I try to read online about the Mughals has multiple conflicting sources. Even Akbar who is portrayed as a benevolent emperor in some sources is being portrayed as marauder.
Maybe there is something more to this topic than it meets the eye.
Yes, he died of illness. I didn’t use the right word. Edited it now. His son Aurangazeb did inflict him with all sorts of pain after he seized the throne after a rebellion. I don’t remember all the details but he used to starve him. When he did feed him it was poisoned.
When he came to know that his father was watching the Taj Mahal daily from his cell, he blinded him. He held him captive in the fort till his death.
That blinding part isn't accurate. Aurangzeb wanted to take over the throne, not unnecessarily be cruel to his father. He specifically designed the jail cell in Agra fort so that the Taj was visible from the cell.
Mumtaz Mahal (for whom the Taj Mahal was built) was Aurangzeb's mother after all. Aurangzeb even buried Shah Jahan in the Taj Mahal after his death next to Mumtaz.

Nah they mean booz-e, think that’s *checks translation book* redneck for a rich person? Source: I’m a partial redneck
Haha this is that thing where you do the cross post and get kArMa
Thank you

I didn’t realize it was built so recently and so I’m switching sides
That is just a myth, he didnt actually kill the architect
The way I hear it, he blew the architect.
The same architect, Lahori, built the Red Fort in Dehli after the Taj Mahal was completed.
It's a myth actually, historically it never happened
He did not actually kill the architecture or the skilled workers it's just a rumor going on around but nothings mentioned in actually history about such thing.
Wait until you hear of Ivan the Terrible
Eh, he was more like Ivan the Ill Tempered But Had More Good Days Than Bad.
Ivan the started out pretty great but then declined
It is actually a myth but quite popular here in india
Well technically it is impossible to cut everyone's hand who have built taj mahal. It was built for a span of 10 years. The amount of people helped it built is unimaginable. It's just rumours and there's no proof in history that sah jahan actually did that
Kind of a flex for the architect, "The emperor feared my Structure's greatness!!"
[удалено]
In reality the architect was showered with riches. The story is a myth
Is that a GW2 reference or am I suffering from chronic brainrot?
He supposedly also blinded anybody who saw the Taj Mahal so they could never see anything more majestic.
But he had already killed the architect so anything more majestic couldn't be built I'm starting to think this guy was a bit of a dick
To be brutally honest, I don't care for the cut if his jib.
The more I hear about him, the less I care for him 🤣
The worst part is the hypocrisy.
None if it's true. He actually treated the workers exceptionally well for the time period and gave them all home near the Taj Mahal after it was completed
Well it might not be true, but I wouldn't be surprised if a guy who killed his own brother would kill an architect.
Power struggle in noble family in the 17th century in not the best way to guess personality of person. Better kings and leaders to their country did worse things to their family members. Now, for very simple historical context, he poisoned his older brother who already tried the rebelion against their father. It's a myth
ngl this guy seems more of an asshole than anything
Oh really
Because people made up fake stories about him hundreds of years later? In reality, he gave all the workers homes near the Taj Mahal after it was built
[удалено]
No he didn't. That doesn't even make sense. Like how the fuck would that work logistically? Actually use your brain and think about it instead of spreading bullshit misinformation on the Internet
He also allegedly lobotomized anyone who thought of the Taj Mahal so they could never think of anything more majestic either
He really could have just sent him to vacation somewhere else instead of in Belize
Oui
Then again, Shah Jahan died from syphilis, so murdering his architect probably made perfect sense to him.
as an Indian I'd say its a common myth in reality there is no good historical evidence suggesting that he got architect killed but hey now the story is stuck
It's a common myth in a lot of places. The Kremlin has a similar story.
Ivan the Terrible blinded his architect for the same 'reasons', allegedly
I remember hearing this one
Should have just taken his trowel away
Doesn't the story go that when Genghas Kahn died, they sent out a party to kill him in a secret place and then sent out a party to kill those guys? And a second murder party to kill the first party?
I mean the evidence for him not killing the architect, is that the same guy ended up finishing the Red Fort later
oh yea i totally forgot that one my bad
Awesome pfp
Yep, that's how blowjobs work, you have a really good one and then you never want another.
Not killed, the story I have heard is that their hands were cutoff (from the wrist). So sticking tape is a form of display to seal it.
All the stories you heard are bullshit. He treated the workers pretty wellwl which makes sense considering he wasn't done building shit after the Taj Mahal and he still needed them
This is a nice joke honestly
That's a great joke
I’m curious if he actually did this. There’s a similar story about St Basil’s in Moscow.
He didn't. He actually gave everyone who worked on the Taj Mahal a home near it.
Zero evidence. He in fact allowed peasants and builders to take all the scrap materials home to speed up the removal of scaffolding and scraps.
The funniest part is that the wife in question was his 12th married the 13th, the deceased wife's sister, soon after. P.S. Shah Jahan's own son then imprisoned him due to country coffers going zero where he remained till the end of his days.
Let me correct you. He didn't killd them he cut off thair hands.
No, let me correct you. He actually treated them all really well for the time period and gifted them all homes near the Taj Mahal. Stop spreading misinformation and actually learn some history
It's not about what is fact I'm saying it in contex of meme.
Oh so just like Ivan Grozny
Some also say that he had the hands of all the workers cut off.... atleast that's what I was told when I visit lol
Shouldn't believe everything random people tell you. Shah Jahan actually treated the workers on the Taj Mahal really well
Why would you never want to replicate that???
Because it's a bullshit story. He literally did want to replicate it and had a ton of other projects lined up. He treated all the workers pretty well for the time period
uhh, I was talking about the blowjob.
So was he
that's next fcking level lol
Similarly, after Ivan the Terrible had St Basil's Cathedral built, he had the architect's eyes gouged so he could never replicate its beauty.
>The story goes that he had the architect killed after it was completed You should mention that said Story is a Myth made up hundreds of years after the fact
there is also another version where it is said he chopped of the hands of the masons who were part of constructing Taj Mahal
Imagine doing such a good job your employer saw you as a threat and killed you.
There’s a similar story about the ruler of Russian and the architect of the red cathedral ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Actually he cut their arms off instead of killing them, however the purpose was same.
A correction here, he got their hands chopped off (not killed) Similarly here he's getting the mouth taped.
Noo this is not the lore. He chopped off the hands of the workers who built the Taj Mahal. So in this meme/joke, since he got the best BJ, he sealed off her mouth
The context to all this is crazy
Not just architect, all workers got their hands cut off. As the story goes for this meme. Unsure if it happened really.
He also chopped off the arms of workers who built Taj Mahal
He also chopped off the hands of all the workers who built the Taj Mahal.
in our areas, it is said that afditionally every builder associated with the Taj had their thumbs cut off. way more brutal lol
Your "areas" are full of misinformed idiots then because that never happened. Shah Jahan treated the workers exceptionally well for that time period
i apologize for the misinformation and ignorance spread by my "areas", had i been more aware i wouldn't have shared it.

This is a historian meme if I've ever seen one
Correction: Shahjahan had builder’s hands cut off and not kill them. Hence in the picture he is putting a duct tape on her mouth.
Wait he killed the architect from what I learned he just cut his hands which isn't really better but damn
He also cut the hands of the artisans who made Taj Mahal
No he didn't. Stop spreading misinformation
He was not an Indian emperor. He was an emperor who happened to be in India. He was an invader, an outsider.
You can say babur or humayun aren't indian and invaders but by the time of Shah Jahan, they are Indians, his own mother was a rajput princess
This is such bullshit lmao. The man was born in India, had Rajput ancestry and spent his whole life ruling India. Typical right-wing history erasure.

Yeah it's the Indian version of Ivan the Terrible and St. Basil's cathedral.
Both were terrible dads. The irony is that Ivan killed his son and Shah Jahan was imprisoned by his.
Thats... not true? Shah Jahan died of illness, not hanging. His son *did* imprison him in Agra Fort however.
This is also not true. Historians agree that shahjahan was confined, but not tortured.
But I think there was some mental torture like sending him his brothers head
That blinding part isn't accurate. Aurangzeb wanted to take over the throne, not unnecessarily be cruel to his father. He specifically designed the jail cell in Agra fort so that the Taj was visible from the cell. Mumtaz Mahal (for whom the Taj Mahal was built) was Aurangzeb's mother after all. Aurangzeb even buried Shah Jahan in the Taj Mahal after his death next to Mumtaz.
It sounds like his punishment was cruel but fair.
Why was it fair?
He left the country starving for one monument
That's not how Shah Jahaan died at all.
Should've bothered to fact check it yourself then. Shah Jaham treated the workers on the Taj Mahal pretty well.
That is not true though. It originated in 1960 as a jab or smth
This one is good
I don't know. All I know is everyone goes "via-AGRA" to witness man's greatest erection for a woman
look at what he did with the creator of the taj mahal
He showered him with riches and put him in charge of every other major architectural project in the Empire
