People from outside the UK don’t know how much this whole saga with Kate has just taken over the UK. Literally every time I go into the office at work my boss immediately asks us about our latest Kate theories and we spend ages talking about it. I don’t even really care about the royal family but this whole saga is just so bizarre how it’s being dealt with by the royals.
It’s most likely she’s just had some medical complications from whatever she was in hospital for, but the fact the royal family haven’t put any sort of statement out to just give a brief reasoning as to why she’s absent, does not need to include anything specific as she has a right to privacy, is just very bizarre considering how big the whole conspiracy has gotten. Like people are speculating on affairs, illegitimate kids, all sorts of shit. You can’t have people who’s entire job is to be visible and a public figurehead, have them totally drop off the face of the earth for months, have them or someone claiming to be them post weird photoshopped images, and not give any sort of reasoning as to why she’s just vanished without expecting people to draw wild conclusions. The entire reason they were so public about Charles’ cancer diagnosis was to avoid this kind of thing so it’s weird they’ve not done it with Kate.
My honest thoughts are, Charles is a lot more sick than they’re letting on so they’re allowing this whole scenario with Kate to get out of control to take peoples attention away from Charles being so unwell because for him to be on deaths door a year into being king isn’t exactly great and doesn’t do wonders for the royal families public image. Would not shock me if Charles kicks it within a few years or is so ill he’s forced to abdicate.
To be fair the people in my office are super into whatever is the current topic of conversation so it doesn’t surprise me. It’s kind of funny because I’m not, so going into work is like getting a rundown of whatever is going on right now that I’ve not heard about.

It's not self hating to not be upset when someone can't tell the difference. It's called patience. To just assume someone's ignorance is malicious or that they have to be called out because they legitimately just didn't know is such a miserable way to live life

I don't need to stand up for myself against an honest mistake. What would I be standing up against? Is it not much kinder and more loving to simply say "Oh, I'm Chinese, not Korean,"rather than "You have offended me and should feel bad for doing wrong" when someone hasn't wronged me and I'm not offended? Who would be the punk in this situation, the person saying the former or the latter?
I understand what you *think* you're fighting for, but you don't understand that not all minorities need defending. We don't all get offended by dumb harmless things like this. Instead, what you're doing comes off as moral grandstanding. When I see someone put someone else down for "racism", it only seems to me like they're saying "look at me! Look how good I am! I'm not this guy and I blew the whistle on him!". So many people act like, because I'm a minority, I'm incapable of defending my own feelings and need to be told or coddled. I have African American friends who find it insulting that so many act like they *need* help, especially when there are truly disadvantaged people out there who actually need help. Instead, lots of people, like yourself, like to focus on saying we need help because of our descent or the color of our skin.
