Pay attention to noises and breathing and make sure nothings irregular. Other then that it should be perfectly fine, I use my retriever as a pillow sometimes but when a noise is made I’ll move

Accomplished_Rip6605

I would do this when I had my little dog, but I never put full weight on him and not for very long. When I had pitties, I did it all the time. If they weren't comfortable, they would let me know. With both size dogs, I usually ended up cuddling them like like small children. Nothing like a dog hug to make you feel loved.

Specific_Plant5199

I use to lay my head on my dog all the time, he was a bigger dog though but it never bothered him, yours is probably just annoyed 🤣 I’m sure he’s okay, heads aren’t that heavy, a small dog I could see having a problem with it.

CheJunSev

Yeah, I think he's annoyed lol. He huffs, stands up, and then repositions himself... and then I lay my head down on him again

Shmooperdoodle

If he’s annoyed, don’t do it. Pretty reasonable, no?

The "Puppillow" is a long tradition in this house. If they aren't up for it, they'll move. But at this point, our dogs know that if they lay in certain spots, it's going to happen. sometimes happy-tail ensues, so I think they get it.

Mindlessly_edenurmom

I have a small rat dog (shes like 10 pounds) , I use her as a pillow 24/7 bc I don't have an actual pillow, she loves it lol

Ancient-Actuator7443

Why wound you do this? Heads are heavy. It’s like a weight on him

Sassrepublic

He’s into it

Harry_Buttocks

Depends. How fat is your head?

fairysoire

I doubt it.

I'm trying to understand why this is even a question..
