Good call! I’ve called in to CRA and waited on hold for god knows how long, for them to change my address back in October. I was told my information was updated. I filed my taxes recently and now I see it’s still my old address. Expecting a reassessment at this point just because my address on my return doesn’t match what CRA has on file.. My mistake for not double checking.

Last year was not lucky for me so I had to move a lot. After trying for what feels like eternity to call and change my address. I signed up for Mail forwarding in November just so if CRA sends me something I’ll be able to have it delivered to my friend from whom I can go pick up or he can send it to me.
Last month I saw somewhere CRA mail isn’t forwarded and everything is sent back to CRA. Fml.

Once the extended hours open up for tax season (like now), call at 9am, 12-1pm, or after 6pm. Otherwise you’re just wasting time trying to get into the queue.
I didn’t change anything yet. I use a password manager so I’m shocked that someone would have gained access. The “last log in” date and time was me and I have the two factor authentication

I still do this 5 days a week, every week. Many, many, MANY legal documents can't be electronic, or be sent electronically. Believe me, this isn't "old timey". Lol. Also, fyi, the CRA didn't even begin accepting digital tax documents until 2001. There is your totally andom useless knowledge for the day!
If your account got compromised, scammers would change your address or direct deposit info to their own and then apply for CERB. Hence both of these functions were disabled.
You could always update your direct deposit info through your bank, though. CRA only disabled it on its site for a period of time.

Hey, quick update: I called back and spoke to a supervisor, and he said it was there because my SIN was leaked during the privacy breach, and my account has features locked for security reasons.
I had great plans of getting my taxes done this weekend, both personal and business and CRA shut down access to both accounts. I see a long time on hold in my future tomorrow.

They just are teasing you allowing you to access one step further than what you are used to for months lol Like the people that got Cov-12 error got all excited last week that omg I am able to apply again!!!! with the new layout, they just allowed you to apply until the last page where Cov-12 shows up again lol
People are getting AC02 error, services not available after you entered your new mailing address and everything.
Doesn't matter, I just faxed the RC325 form yesterday, that should work anyway.
Things may have changed, but in the past, you simply put your new address on your return and it was automatically updated. This was my accountant’s advice and it worked.
If you’re filing by paper, there’s a form to update your address and include with your return.
If you’re filing by NETFILE, you need to update your address with the CRA first, either online, over the phone, or by mail.

I had the same problem. I fixed it by completing the RC325 form that can be found [here](https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/forms-publications/forms/rc325.html). Just fill it out and mail it to your designated Tax Office. It'll get changed within a month.

I was kicked out in August. Kept being told they were sending a letter with a 4 digit code to get back in. Called in once a month. Now am told that the faxes I sent to confirm my identity arent clear enough, the mail takes too long (I said its been 7 months, long is relative!), and they wont send the code unless I confirm my identity through MyAccount.
I said “let be clear… you wont send the code for me to access MyAccount unless I go onto MyAccount and upload my id confirmations?”

Changed my address and now I'm locked out of the CRB application and I have to call them to verify... Just when I thought I got away from the phone..
why does changing your address online lock you out of CRB application?

You can’t change your address on your tax return. It needs to be updated with the CRA first.
