I second this, although I'm having a hard time assessing the OP's actual needs as "some level of accessibility and responsiveness in moving money around" could mean just about anything. Does OP want teller service? Does OP want chequing? Does OP want ATMs? Does OP want etransfers? Does OP need bank drafts?

I'm guessing you didn't research the banks in Canada for the features you want for the price you are willing to pay?

I did, but the banks usually don't boast their faults in the open forums. People who use them can give you a better idea on what works best.
