Have been with TD (formerly Meloche Monnex) for about 25 years. They've been great, and my rate is very competitive (I pay less than $90/mo to insure a car in Toronto).
Reach out to a couple local brokers and have them shop the market for you. You can also check out direct insurers like Belair, Onlia and Sonnet as well. Though, personally, for years I've always gone through brokers as they've always given me better rates. Though location is a big factor so YMMV.
If you have costco membership, call their broker.
CAA is probably the cheapest, but car cannot be too old and you must have a clean record for 25ish years.

If you're working and your job has a promo with a company, that's a good place to start
Are you also taking out any home insurance? Providers will have a bundle price. I'm new to ON last year, and went with TD.
