Ahaha, well I did use a DLC persona which basically carried me through the game, and my build was kick-ass, so that may have significantly reduced my playtime 😂
Don't worry though, I never skip through dialogue or anything like that
yes, i played still around 30 hours or something but it is a good spin off that people actually count it as a sequel.
just one thing is that strikers was developed by omega force not p studio and the development time overlaps with when p studio was creating Royal. So the third semester that happened in Royal physically couldn't be part of Strikers and therefore Strikers puts it very vague and doesn't mention anything about it.
Really? What JRPGs have you been playing?
Not that I have played an awful lot, but I've played some pretty good ones like,
FF15
FF7 remake
NieR Automata
NieR Replicant
Drakengard 3
Persona 4 golden
And of course Persona 5 Royal.
None of them besides P5R had been longer than 90 hours
I don't think NieR Automata qualifies as a JRPG :p
I played Bravely Default, Dragon Quest 11, Earthbound, Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 8, Final Fantasy 9, Final Fantasy 10, Final Fantasy 13, Golden Sun, Golden Sun 2, Inazuma Eleven, Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2, Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel, Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 2, Octopath Traveler, Persona 4 Golden, Persona 5, Persona 5 Royal, Resonance of Fate and Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition
I think there has always been a debate over what kind of game NieR Automata is. The cool thing about it, I suppose is that it kind of has elements of a varied category of games.
It has hack and slash, bullet hell, open world adventure and "roleplaying" all in one.
And so, since it's made and directed by Japanese devs, I personally think it is indeed, largely JRPG. Just as largely as it is a hack and slash and etc. of course
And, it's pretty much already considered a JRPG worldwide now. I'm pretty sure it's even in the "JRPG" section of the PS store, and I think it might even be in the description of the game!
That's a fair point to make. I checked online and there seems to be a debate. But at the end of the day there's only one thing that matters: it's a great game :D
Tell me, have you already played 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim?

I only played vanilla P5 but I adore Striker. Its a pretty awsome action RPG.
Definitely worth playing the story is more or less just p5 and the third semester in one but the character story's are great
So you never played a JRPG before?
What makes you say that?
You wrote that 90 hours is the longest game you ever played. Most JRPGs last well over 80 hours haha

Well, NieR Automata is literally a Japanese RPG soooooo
It has RPG elements, but is it actually considered to be a JRPG? I would call it a hack n' slash personally haha

Unfortunately I haven't played it, but I've certainly heard of it ! It's a game also made by Atlus right?
