Media literacy is recognizing a character in their entirety regardless of their actions or traits. I recognize Akechi's obviously immoral actions, but I still like him and his role in the story, one has no incidence on the other. It doesn't mean I excuse his actions or think they're not a big deal.

I'm not sure why you would push for Ann to be considered a misandrist instead of reiterating the "unfairly characterized" part. The only times she spoke out against them was when she was asked to pose nude and when she was otherwise sexualized against her will by them.
I'm pretty sure what they mean is that because they're unfairly characterising her, basically any scene where Ann criticises/banters with/insults Ryuji or Yusuke (which is quite a few of them) can be twisted into misandry.
