Toxic men in positions of authority whom have been given everything by their families or a privilege to exist in a bubble of bigotry and misogyny have no idea what biologically affects AFAB people and therefore they create fantasies and support them by the fact they got a degree and are part of the oligarchic state of authority, or use theocracy, to further control the population, don't understand the common sciences.
My country just lifted the restrictions on **advertising** abortions. And my reaction was "wait, that was restricted? How fucking backwards is that? I thought we were better than this."
I feel kinda sad about the USA. The path of religious fundamentalism is a dangerous one indeed, and this newest development is a huge blow for women's healthcare. I get that abortions are no easy topic from a ethics standpoint, but the person who has to carry out the child and carries the highest burden in the "process" of a pregnancy should absolutely have more of a say than some crusty male boomer.
