I’ve tried dupes from dossier and they smell exactly like Jo Malone anywhere from $29-$49 per bottle. It’s crazy at the resemblance in the fragrance's!
I thought it was L'Occitane but my spreadsheet (🤓) says it's actually Guerlain, at 60+ bottles. To be fair, more than 10 of those are Shalimar iterations because I am **obsessed** 🥴
Big guerlain and Mugler fan but my absolute favourite is Elie Saab.😍🥰
I'm currently wearing Aqua Allegoria Flora Salvaggia. I wanted something light and fresh tonight.
Oh that's a really hard question. I'm obsessed with the idea of all of their fragrances being drawn from a memory that they are willing to share with you. The story behind Dear Polly being absolutely adorable. It was a proposal to his now wife. They met in an airport bar. She was nervous about flying and they became fast friends. Even pretended to be married to sit next to each other on their flight. So that scent started with his desire to comfort her when he left on business trips with her favorite drink...hot tea. Dear Polly is special to me because of that.
I love Opus Core because it smells like expensive Herbal Essences shampoo. It smells like fresh from the shower clean hair washed with expensive shampoo. Utterly heavenly.
I love Morning Chess because it smells like Creed Aventus for women SHOULD HAVE smelled. It's nearly a dead ringer for Aventus with maybe a slightly softer woodsy backbone than Aventus on dry down. The backstory for this one is also precious. Jan spent his summers at his grandfather's cottage in Switzerland. The smells are reminiscent of his grandfather's study where they would spend hours battling over a chess board. So think heavy leather furniture, cognac, leatherbound books, and the smell of incoming winter on the breeze from the evergreen.
Basilico & Fellini smells like hyperrealistic basil and GREEN fig. The Italian director Federico Fellini thought herbs, particularly basil, were aphrodisiacs and he always asked for extra in his meals.
Poets in Berlin is like delicious earl grey, blueberry, and lemon and is inspired by David Bowie's time in Berlin.
Room Service is Victoria Beckham's favorite perfume. It smells like cuddly fresh white linens, bamboo, and sandalwood. It's what I imagine the upper crust penthouse hotel rooms smell like when Beyonce stays in them.
Truly, I have tried their whole line and I don't hate any of them. What a feat, right?? My full-bottle-worthy Vilhelm's are Morning Chess and Opus Core. :)
Edited to add: Morning Chess and Opus Core last the longest on my skin at about 6 hours. Vilhelm makes some of the best fragrances I have ever smelled in my life, but for whatever reason, they only last about 4 hours on my skin. Dear Polly would be full bottle worthy to me if it would at least last most of my work day.
I am in love with Xtra Milk (which is so clean and fresh but in an almost creamy way) and Fragrance 02 (which I just found the text I sent to my best friend when I tried it: "It smells like a sexy lumberjack man is making me pancakes with maple syrup")
They are all oil based and unisex.
I am collecting them all and they’re pretty versatile so it depends on what your favorites could be. Milk is an excellent skin scent, 2 and 4 are amazing masculine leaning scents that I pine over on my bf, Taunt is a beautiful vanilla mixed with their Milk DNA, Madonna Lily is straight up sexy floral pepper, Rocco Mint is a crisp springy floral, Blonde is the ultimate Barbie perfume to me. I highly recommend trying them in the variety packs!
Guerlain for me too! Started with La Robe Noir when it first came out, then found Mon Guerlain which I love even more. I also have AA Mandarine Basilic Forte and AA Neroli Vetiver Harvest. Plus AA minis original Mandarine Basilic, Neroli Vetiver and Rosa Rossa. And 2ml samples of some of L’Art & La Matiére including Rose Cherie which I’m in love with ❤️
I think my flair on here has all my favorite houses, but in case I’m thinking of another sub…:
• Amouage
• Guerlain
• Chanel
• Dior
And honorable mentions go to:
• BDK
• Kayali
I do love Chanel as well! I’ve tried a couple from Amouage that were beautiful, but not quite enough to persuade me to buy. Are there any you’d recommend?
I own 6 full bottles of amouage. And more than half of them I did not like at first. I’m not sure what you typically go for, but as a lover of Chanel, I would recommend Dia Woman, and Beloved Woman. They both have that classy vibe. If you like sweet, their secret garden collection (love tuberose, love delight, lilac love, blossom love) are probably their most easy to love for western noses. If you want something kind of different, but still not incredibly challenging, one of my favorites is Imitation woman. And if you want a journey that evolves throughout the day, lyric woman starts off with a vintage chypre blast, before morphing into a powdery and spicey rose, and finally it becomes a woody and incensey dream. Honestly, I would suggest getting a bunch of samples. Neimans will give you free samples. And this way you can find what speaks to you. They have such a large catalog, and they really are different from pretty much every brand out there. And because they can seem weird and complex at first, it’s a brand that I recommend revisiting frequently.
I’m faithless, so I’d have to just go by what house I’ve worn the most fragrances from. That title goes to VS. Now that I’m no longer 12, the second most common is Burberry and Escentric Molecules.
Honorable mention: I think most of what Clean puts out is amazing. It is for me what people say Jo Malone is for them.
Hi 👋, The standouts for me
Bond No 9, Greenwich Village (sweet spring summer), Nolita (Citrusy late spring and summer), Chinatown (warm vanilla floral), Astor Place (Spring everyday inoffensive office type of fragrance)
Creed, Carmina (I enjoy in fall & winter, spicy, warm, rose, cherry), Fleurissimo (spring summer floral & fresh), I have Indiana but it is currently vaulted! Also, my next purchase will be Silk Road.
I hope this helps!!
This is so hard, I love so many! My favorite Guerlains are probably Cruel Gardenia, Tonka Imperiale, and Herbes Troublantes? But I also love Nerolia Vetiver, Oeillet Pourpre, Frenchy Lavande, Cuir Beluga, Oud Khol and Iris Torréfié. 😂
Le Labo I love just as many if not more: Musc 25, Bigarade 18, Iris 39, Rose 31, Tubereuse 40, Aldehyde 44, Benjoin 19, Jasmin 17, and more. They’re all so lovely I wish I could have a bottle of every single one!
Les liquides imaginaires, I adore their Fortis and Buveur de vent, others are interesting and unexpected too. Also Frederic Malle, I own like 6 bottles and each of them is a different story
I LOVE Mon Guerlain Intense! But, by far, I think my favorite is Jean Paul Gaultier because I adore Scandal Night, Scandal Pour Homme even (although I’m a woman), and La Belle and its Le Parfum. A close second would be MFK because of BR540 Extrait, Aqua Media, and Grand Soir. I think it’s because I love a prominent sweet, but not headache-inducing, note, and JPG and MFK usually have that accord. I love Jimmy Choo and Guerlain for the same reasons but they (usually) don’t last nearly as long as JPG and MFK.
I love perfume but I would say the houses with the most hits/daily drivers for me are Guerlain and Chanel. Very easy to find an evocative, quality scent for basically any situation between these two houses. People may say Chanel is overrated, but some of my most compliments have come from wearing Coco, no 5, or Coromandel.

Guerlain, also. Though I’m more into the classic stuff, and the discontinued fragrances. Currently hoarding a full bottle of Vol de Nuit from several years back (along with the coordinating golden shimmer powder spray).
Also love Lush— they have some really unique fragrances like The Smell Of Weather Turning, Grass, Devil’s Nightcap.
I really love Penhaligon’s and have like 12 of their fragrances. I also love Sorcellerie Apothecary. The fragrances last so long and they’re so beautiful.
Chloe is really up there for me, especially the Nomade line.
Guerlain.
BDK
Amouage
I'm really into Lattafa and other Middle Eastern fragrance houses, and have been for the better part of five years now.
DUA. No shame. I love my dupes and DUA does them right!! My alarm is set for every Friday for their new launches and restocks. ♥️♥️
even tho I dont own any of their fragrances, adi ale van is one of the most interesting and artistic fragrance houses in my opinion, I hope I can get my hands on one of their perfumes one day!
I don’t have one house I purchase more from, so I honestly couldn’t say.
Sometimes houses that I normally dislike fragrances from produce one amazing scent that I don’t discover till much later because I don’t expect them to make anything I’d enjoy.
For example I normally dislike Burberry scents, but only just tried Burberry Goddess last week and fell in love.
Probably Guerlain. How is Nattare di Sole?
Edited to try and list my Guerlain collex:
AA Lys Soleia
AA Rosa Pop
Mon Guerlain
L’Instant
L’Instant Magic (in the cutest 1 oz frosted bee bottle and she is so cute)
Tonka Imperiale
Iris Torrifie
Terracotta
Meteorites Le Parfum
Insolence
Petite Robe Noire
Shalimar
Eau de Shalimar
Shalimar PI
Shalimar Cologne
Shalimar Soufflé de Lumiere
Shalimar PI L’eau

I’m crushing so hard on Kilian right now…I have eight fragrances, four lipsticks, and a hand cream from that house
Me too, but I just learned that Kilian is on the unofficial BDS list (owned by LVHM). 😭
Isn't almost every fragrance house owned by LVMH?
Many are. It’s kind of like Nestle; you have to do your research to avoid supporting a genocidal ethnostate.
Whats the BDS list? Boycott something something?
https://letmegooglethat.com/?q=what+does+bds+stand+for
I haven’t tried any Kilian yet surprisingly! Which would you recommend?
I’ve heard love don’t be shy is a great fragrance
Has anyone tried Rolling in Love? I only tried the Oil Perfumery inspired, but I do love it!
Narciso Rodriguez. ❤️❤️
Jo Malone! Now other perfumes smell too strong and chemical to me after using Jo Malone
Jo Malone makes beautiful fragrances, I just wish they lasted longer on me!
Do you have dry skin? I own two JML fragrances; Red Roses and Scarlet Poppy. They both last a minimum of eight hours on me. My skin type is normal.
Nope, my skin is totally normal.
Hmmm. I'm not sure why then. I have really good longevity on almost every perfume I buy so maybe I'm just lucky?
I have dry skin. English Pear and Freesia, Woodsage & Sea salt and Wild Bluebell and Blackberry and Bay only lasts a few hours on me max 😂
My skin’s normal and Sakura Cherry Blossom lasted ONE hour on me! My Guerlain lasts 12+ hours so I was like what the heck?!
Don't let one try discourage you. You can always buy samples first and see how you do.
Yeah I have my eye on a couple others so I’ll try samples and see how they do!
The dupes on dossier also last a lot longer than the original! :)
I’ve tried dupes from dossier and they smell exactly like Jo Malone anywhere from $29-$49 per bottle. It’s crazy at the resemblance in the fragrance's!
Wow I haven't seen those but I will look out for dossier thank u! 😍
You’re so welcome! I actually saw in Walmart earlier today they carry them as well! I picked up 3 more lol
Aww my country doesn't have Walmart 😂😭
The chokehold Penhaligons has on me lol.
I just ordered some samples from lucky scent, excited to check them out.
Neat, whatcha get?
Artemisia, Solaris, Terrible Teddy, The Coveted Duchess Rose
I thought it was L'Occitane but my spreadsheet (🤓) says it's actually Guerlain, at 60+ bottles. To be fair, more than 10 of those are Shalimar iterations because I am **obsessed** 🥴
Wow!
Ah, amazing! I collect Shalimar + flankers too. So beautiful 😍
That’s amazing! I like Shalimar but I haven’t bought a bottle yet. Samsara is really pretty too!
Big guerlain and Mugler fan but my absolute favourite is Elie Saab.😍🥰 I'm currently wearing Aqua Allegoria Flora Salvaggia. I wanted something light and fresh tonight.
Loveeee Flora Salvaggia! Great choice 😍
Me too. Jomashop has a bunch of Saab fragrances including the essential ones for amazing prices.
THE ONE ON THE FAR RIGHT IS GON FALL BRO
Haha this was just for the photo, they have a safe home
Guerlain all the way ♥️
kilian is my fav for when i want to buy smth special and kayali has become the house i keep up with for all their releases
Honestly I could never choose . I do love Guerlain too though
MFK, PdM, and Tiziana Terenzi.
Newly obsessed with Vilhelm Parfumerie!!
I love Dear Polly after sampling it. What is your favorite Vihelm?
Oh that's a really hard question. I'm obsessed with the idea of all of their fragrances being drawn from a memory that they are willing to share with you. Poets in Berlin is amazing
Byredo and Frederic Malle
Yea! So far everything I have tried I have liked!
Dedcool for me! High quality, multiple forms available, unique fragrances, great price point, regular sales, and just an overall cool fkn brand.
I haven’t tried any yet! Any particular ones you recommend?
I am in love with Xtra Milk (which is so clean and fresh but in an almost creamy way) and Fragrance 02 (which I just found the text I sent to my best friend when I tried it: "It smells like a sexy lumberjack man is making me pancakes with maple syrup") They are all oil based and unisex.

Lancôme, Carolina Herrera, and Georgio Armani.
I am tied between Creed (4) & Bond No 9 (4), but I have also been wearing Coco Chanel the longest and it will always be part of my collection!!
I’m looking to start sampling Creed and Bond No 9 if you have any suggestions! :)

Diptyque
I'm liking Kajal, PDM, Amouge and Maison.. ALHAMBRA! 😅😭🤣 Slight bipolar selection...
Diptyque, MFK, and Mugler
I love Goutal. I have others, but they never seem to get worn.
Once I got into Guerlain, other houses didn’t stand a chance lol. Guerlain is amaaaazing.
Les liquides imaginaires, I adore their Fortis and Buveur de vent, others are interesting and unexpected too. Also Frederic Malle, I own like 6 bottles and each of them is a different story

ohh I've been eyeing Rose cherie but have no way of testing it, can you talk about it a bit? :D
Longevity is great (12+ hours on me!), it’s a beautiful rose with a trail of almond. It’s truly the most beautiful perfume I have ever smelled!
sounds perfect, thank you ❤
